Troubled Seas

Marin: Marinette, You Can't Keep Swimming Off Like That! It's Too Dangerous!!

Marinette: You're Not The Boss Of Me!!
Leave Me Alone, Marin!

Marin: Mom, Dad, can't you ground her!?

Marinette: We're underwater..kinda something hard to do, Marin. And I only went for a swim, nothing more!
So stop worrying, you seahorse!

Tom: Honey..Marin's right. From now on, you'll be telling us where're you're going before you leave.

Marinette: What!? Mom..you don't think that this..-

Sabine: Marinette, this is for your own good. Please try to understand..-

Marinette: All I can see and fully understand is that trust doesn't run in the family.
First, I must tell ALL of you my secrets!
Second, Marin can't tell us what HE was doing with Jason in HIS bed!
And Third but not least, You guys don't trust ME to go out for a swim!?!
This is ridiculous!

Marin: Marinette, I already told them what happened.

Marinette: And now I'm floating here..last mer-folk to know the truth. I understand.

The batfamily had now arrived at the scene and heard the entire thing. Marinette had tears, angry tears welled up in her eyes trying to prevent them from falling. No one had ever seen her cry, but for her parents, it had been a while since that happened; after she thought she had lost Tikki when she was little, she had burst into tears. The house was filled to the brim with blue, sapphire pearls.

The batboys looked on as Marinette hands formed fists and her body began to twitch. She looked up at them then glared at Marin, "This..is all your fault.. I HATE IT HERE!!" And just like that she swam off. Tikki followed her as Marin's chest sank to the bottom of the ocean. It was like she told him with her eyes, 'I HATE YOU'. The batboys swam off behind Tikki as Bruce and Alfred comforted Tom and Sabine, taking them back home.

The batboys and Tikki had her in sight but she swam faster and faster until they could no longer see her anymore. That's when the ocean grabbed them. They tried to free themselves but is was no use. "Uhh..a little help here, Tikki.." they cried to the lily. She struggled in her restraints but then relaxed, "Marinette didn't do this. Something's wrong with the ocean. And..I think Marinette is unconsciously behind it." she concluded.

Tikki's black spot on her head shone brightly as the water restraints loosened around them. They were freed. She then turned to the boys, "First, I need to speak to the Master, you boys can split up to find her." They looked at each other before nodding. "And don't delay...it's a full moon tonight" she warned. They swam off over to the pool as that was the first place that came to mind. They got in but to their disappointment, she wasn't there.

They swam back out and looked around the reef. Dick then found one of her scales hidden among the seaweed that swayed in the ripples of water. "She must be close, find her." They swam off, and searched everywhere leaving no coral, nor rock unturned. Damian went a bit further passing the pool when he spotted a cave. He was about to call for his brothers when he stopped himself and went in alone.

Once he was inside, he lifted his head above the water and saw a familiar red tail that hung off the ledge of the rock. He swam over and pulled himself up to see Marinette laying down on the sand. And all around them...were blue, sapphire pearls. He narrowed his eyes in concern as he laid next to the young mermaid. "Hey.." he nervously greeted. She slowly turned to him then looked away.

"Marinette, do you want to know what happened between your brother and mine?" She hesitantly nodded, still looking away as he sighed. "Todd kissed your brother as he was affected by the full moon. They both fell asleep in his room later that night. That was all." he finished. She exhaled turning to look at him. "He could've just told me *mumbles*. *sigh* You were there right before I blacked out on my birthday then woke up the next day in your room. What happened?" she finally spoke in question.

His eyes widened as his cheeks were now decorated with pink blush. Marinette was now interested in his answer as she sat herself up, repeating, "What happened?" He looked away, he was blushing at what they had done..but also blushing in embarrassment and worry as he kinda knocked her out. He stuttered, "Uhh..w-well..you see..- Uhh..*clears throat*.." She looked at him, confused and now even more scared at what she might've done. "Just spit it out already." she commanded.

He gulped down his nerves and spoke, "We. Kissed..- Well..you kissed me..- And you didn't want to stop so I had to knock you out..- Y-You also called me Dami..." He nervously scratched the back of his neck. He peeked as he glanced at Marinette who was slowly moving her tail around the in the water, looking down at it as she sat on the ledge. She looked at him and shrugged, "If I'm being totally honest..I wouldn't have picked anyone else to share a kiss with."

She chuckled, "And that's a very cute nickname. Imma call you that from now on, traffic light boy." He pouted, blushing a dark red as he sat himself up next to her. "So..what now? Do you wanna go back home? Your family's pretty worried about you.." She frowned.
