Chaper 11 - End Game (part 1)

Getting the last supply of Energon up on Moonbase two, Omega Squadron was returning back with the cargo in an old Autobot warship they found inside an abandoned hangar base. Difficult to start up in the beginning but after a couple of fixes they got the gears running in that ship. Now returning back to the base, they were not aware that they were being tailed by Decepticon dropships. But as they were returning back, they picked up a message that was sent to every Autobot bases and ships. They picked it up and saw that it was a call for help. Megatron and his forces are ambushing the base and the construction site. They saw the footage of the attack and understood that they had to get there fast before it was too late.

Omega Bravo: Hmmm...

Helios: What'cha thinkin' there, buddy?

Omega Bravo: I'm thinking on how Megatron or any of his men didn't notice that this moon still had some energon left. Kinda surprising that didn't know about that actually.

Helios: Well Decepticons aren't the brightest droids with enough tighten screws and fixed circuits. You keep forgettin' that?

Nimbus: Not all of them are that dumb as you think they are. Take Shockwave as an example: he is smart but also considered to be a bit insane with the experiments he sometimes do. Then there are the weapon specialists, namely Hailstorm. Then there are some with different personalities that describe them in every possible way like Tentakil whom is both strong and sadistic, Onslaught being a Decepticon well known tactician like Hydra, and you don't want to forget- Helios covered his receptors and couldn't bare to take any minute of Nimbus chattering about every Decepticon not being as dumb as he think they are.

Helios: OKAY, SHUT UP!! I GET IT NOW!!! Nimbus stopped talking and looked at him. I get it now! Not every 'Con is as dumb as they appear! So shut that exhaust pipe of yours, two-wheeler!

Nimbus: Two wheels are better than four, that's for sure, he mumbled. Helios drew his gun out and pointed it straight at his head.

Helios: One more sassy tone from you and you get a hole up here in your brain module. Got it?

Crossfire got in between their little fight and stopped it at once.

Crossfire: Okay you two. Time out now. Hydra is on his way up so you don't want him to toss you two out in space, right? Helios and Nimbus looked at him then looked at each other then went back doing what they were doing. Man, this has been one exhausting day...

Hydra: And the day won't be over until we reach the base.

Crossfire: Can't wait to blow some Decepticons! My hands are itchin' to burn them and their paint job! he giggled insanely. Omega Bravo didn't like that at all and looked at him.

Omega Bravo: Cut out that creepy giggling! You're making my servos feel uncomfortable!

Hydra: I can't believe that Megatron found the last relic. How in the names of the thirteen did he do that?

Nimbus: I am as surprised as you are. Guess Megatron must've had a spy nearby that told him about that planet.

Hydra: Yeah. He must've had...the alarm suddenly went off. A bunch of Decepticon dropships were coming in hot. Crossfire! Give me a full scan of this area on how many are approaching us.

Crossfire: Well you're not gonna like this but, he went through a full scan of the area and saw how many there were, there are 12 dropships heading right toward us.

Hydra: Where are they docking? he asked

Crossfire: At sector 4.

Hydra: Gear up now boys, we're going out there. Put the ship on autopilot, Helios.

After Helios put the ship on autopilot, they grabbed their guns and headed over to sector 4 where the Decepticons were docking. Crossfire was eager to get blast some Decepticons already that his hands were shaking and he was grinning uncontrollably. They saw how big sector 4 was - as if it was some sort of hangar.

Omega Bravo: Man this sector is HUGE!!

Hydra: Battle stations! Grab as many loose objects on the floor so it can provide as cover then put it in the center and form it as a circle - move out! they spread out to find as much loose stuff there was to be used as cover once the Decepticons reaches the part of the ship. Hurry, we have limited time before they get here! Once their little circle of protection was complete they got inside of it and got ready for battle. Be quiet now, he whispered to them, we need to know where they're coming from. They could hear loud banging sounds coming from the outside of the ship; indicating that  the dropships were docking on different parts of the ship. They cornered every direction with their guns, keeping their optics sharp. It then got quiet. Too quiet. The doors on the east and west part got blown up, drawing their attention to both sides and out came rockets shooting.

Nimbus: Rockets!! he shouted.

Hydra: OPEN FIRE!!!

The Decepticons were storming the sector fast than they could already imagine. Shots being fired from every corner wasn't making it easy for the guys. Shotgunners, rocket troopers, and normal ground troopers - you name it, they were everywhere. One of the ground troopers threw a grenade at them that landed near Crossfire. He spotted it and quickly grabbed it.

Crossfire: Keep 'em! he said and threw it back at them, detonating and killing some of the Decepticons. He then remember about these ship doors having a extra door that could close if the outer ones were destroyed. Not sure about it but he decided to ask. Hey Hydra! These ships..don't they have like a second security door that could close if the outer ones would get destroyed?

Hydra: Yeah, he ducked as a rocket that came flying at him and nearly hit him, why you're wondering? he asked him back.

Crossfire: Got an idea but it's risky.

Hydra: Don't even THINK about doing it, Crossfire!

Crossfire: Sorry sir, but it's been an honor! Crossfire grabbed a few small energon bactatanks, transformed into his jet mode and flew right into one of the corridor where the Decepticons was storming from the east. On his way he knocked down a few of them and then transformed.

Helios: What the hell are you doing?! Get back here now!! He shouted at him, the corridor made his voice echo. He ignored what he said and blasted the control panels from the insides, making the second doors close him and the Decepticons from the inside.

Crossfire then pulled out the energon bactatanks and threw them at the Decepticons as the were lowly getting up from the ground right after getting hit by Crossfire. They got covered in energon. He then pulled out his two incendiary grenades and charged at them, letting out a battle cry.

Crossfire: HERE I COME!!! RAAAAAHHH!!!! they opened fire at him as he got closer and closer. He then ignited his two grenades. The others could hear a loud explosion coming from the inside, and saw smoke was emitting from the springs of the door. On the inside, the corridor was set in flames. Burning body parts of both Decepticons and Crossfire himself was spread out.

Hydra: Nimbus! Look out! Nimbus spotted that a shotgunner was up-close to his face. He quickly swung his sniper rifle and beat him down on the ground before executing him with a headshot.

Nimbus: That was close! Didn't know they could be that  sneaky! He laughed.

Hydra: Nice work on using your rifle as a melee weapon for once.

Nimbus: Thanks for the compliment, as he was about to open fire again, his rifle wasn't working, scrap - must've taken quite the beating! Helios, lend me one of your guns!

Helios: Handle it with care, he said and tossed him one of his rifles to him.

Nimbus: Trust me, I will!

The amount of Decepticon forces was decreasing, one after one. After the last one had been killed. They got out of their little blockade.

Hydra: Son of a scrap. Why would Crossfire do something stupid like that that?! he was in anger that one of his men had sacrificed themselves..and disobeying orders at the same time.

Omega Bravo: He must've had a good reason. At least he got rid off the Decepticons entering the west side, that's for sure.

Helios: Well we can't stay here - there's more of them boarding the ship and we- the lights went out in the sector and it got dark, well ain't this terrific?

Omega Bravo: Oh, please..don't start complaining now. It's probably only this part of the ship that the light went out.

Helios: Better hope you're right.

Hydra: Enough chit-chat. We gotta find the other Decepticons and destroy them at once.

They agreed to what he said and decided to walk where the Decepticons had attacked from - the east side. Moments later it began to get brighter and they could hear voices coming from the other side. They stopped and listened.

Decepticon shotgunner: We've fully infiltrated the ship now sir. The Autobots have stocked up a large amount of energon here that they are probably sending back to the Ark.

Megatron: Destroy the Autobots and bring the energon to me. I want no survivors! Do not fail me!

Helios: Now what? There's no other way for us to go then this way! Hydra began to think a little and spotted a power switch.

Hydra: Nimbus, up front. Nimbus got up front to Hydra.

Nimbus: Yeah? he asked

Hydra: See that power switch over there? Think you can shoot it?

Nimbus: Well if I had my sniper rifle I would but I'll give it a try with the gun Helios lend me. He got in position and aimed directly at the power switch. Focused, concentrated, relaxed, hand weren't shaking yet he doubted himself that he could hit it. He fired and the lights flickered and it went dark.

Decepticon soldier: What the?! What happened?!

Decepticon soldier 2: Must be those Autobots! They are around here somewhere!

Decepticon soldier 3: Spread out and sweep the ship! Megatron wants them dead! Some forces went in different directions so they could find them. Hydra and his team used night vision sensors so they could move unnoticed. Unfortunately, one of them tripped over a wire and landed straight on the energon cubes, knocking them down and was fully visible thanks to the purple glow that the energon was emitting. The troopers began to open fire at the Autobot that had fallen over the pile of energon cubes. Their night vision sensors was very weak against strong, bright lights - the flashy lights from the shots made it a bit hazy for them to see and it got a little bit darker.

Decepticon soldier 4: Call for reinforceme- ARGH!! someone shot him in the back before he could order out for reinforcements. Seconds later they had all killed the Decepticons that was in the room. Near their location was a hangar. Hydra and Omega Bravo noticed that they had only made it halfway, until they noticed they were missing two. They heard footsteps was coming from behind: it was Helios and Nimbus...but one of them wasn't leaving any sounds from their feet. Helios was carrying Nimbus on his shoulder and looked at Hydra and Omega Bravo a bit sad.

Hydra: Is he...?

Helios slowly laid Nimbus's lifeless body right next to the wall.

Helios: I'm afraid he is...shot straight in the head, right at the brain module.

They mourned him quickly before departing to the hangar.

Helios: Ironic, isn't it? I did say that I would put a hole straight at his brain module if he said another sassy word to me...but I guess it came to be actually...he looked back at his fallen comrades body, regretting of what he said earlier and carried on alongside Hydra and Omega Bravo.
