"Before we go in, I need you to promise that if after this day you don't want to talk to me you will tell me, okay? Don't just ignore me." -War said looking at his hands. North and him had arrived to the house and now they were sitting in the car.

"Why wouldn't I want to talk to you?" -North said.

"Well, my pa can be difficult" -War said. North nodded slowly.

"Lets go in" -North said. They got out of the car and War opened the door to the house.

"Hello" -War said when he entered. It was quiet.

"Hey" -Earth said coming out of the kitchen. He had Milli stay a little longer to help him with dinner.

"Hello. I am North" -North said bowing respectfully.

"I am War's dad, Earth" -Earth said. He liked that North was respectful.

"Where is Pa?" -War said.

"He is upstairs. He will come down in a bit. Lets go sit down" -Earth said. He took North and War to the dining area. He then left to get some juice drinks for them.

"I realized I haven't told you before but I have two dads" -War said awkwardly.

"I have two dads too" -North said and War smiled. He laughed a little which made North laugh.

"Here" -Earth said giving them orange juice.

Kao came downstair to the dining area. He had that scary face. North stood up.

"Good Afternoon. I am North" -North bowed once again to pay respect.

"mm. I am his dad" -Kao said. He sat down.

"This is Kao. War's pa" -Earth said smiling and glaring at Kao.

The dinner was being served by Milli when they heard the gate be opened through the monitor.

"Who is that?" -War said.

"Your Uncle Ohm" -Kao said standing up. War's eyes widened. Earth didn't know that they would come either. War stood up to follow Kao.

"What are they doing here?" -War said to Kao. He was opening the front door for them.

"They are here for dinner" -Kao said.

"Why are you being like this? You know Yin doesn't like him" -War said.

"He can handle it" -Kao said but War didn't know who he was talking about exactly.

"You are mean" -War said in a sad voice going back to the dining area. Kao was startled by that comment. He was making his kid upset and discouraged.

War went back to a laughing North and Earth. They were having a nice conversation, he was thankful to Earth.

Ohm and Fluke and Yin went in the dining area to sit down. North was sitting where Yin usually sits but War didn't ask him to move. Yin did this on purpose, he knew he had something to do with them coming over.

"This is Ohm and Fluke. They are War's uncles" -Kao said sitting back down.

"Hello. I am North" -North stood up again. He bowed to pay respect again. Fluke smiled seeing how respectful he was.

Yin laughed. Everyone turned around to look at him. War was so mad.

"You look so respectful. That's so funny" -Yin said and sat down.

"Why is it funny to pay respect?" -Earth said. He was irritated too.

"He isn't like this Uncle Earth" -Yin said.

"Lets have dinner" -Ohm said. They were eating. War kept looking at North and smiling to give him a little courage.

"So what are you going to do when you graduate?" -Kao asked North with a cold tone.

"Why are you asking him that? He is barely a sophmore" -Earth said.

"Yin knows what he is doing and he is a sophmore" -Kao said. Yin's future was already decided just like Wars and they didn't object.

"Actually I have everything prepared. I have a university I want to apply and I want to study medicine like my grandfather and my father" -North said gulping out of nervous.

"That sounds amazing" -Earth said.

"What if you don't get accepted to the university you want?" -Ohm asked. Fluke glared at him. He would sometimes just follow Kao's and Yin's attitudes.

North cleared his throat.

"I have 2 more choices. But I am hoping to get into my first choice. I have perfect grades and my curriculum is filling up as I move forward on my education" -North answered so smart. That was good. Ohm just nodded.

"Do you play any sports?" -Fluke asked.

"Yeah. I am in the soccer team. I am planning on becoming team captain next year." -North said.

Everyone turned around to look at Yin.

"I will be captain" -Yin said with confidence.

War just coughed.

"Where do your parents work?" -Kao asked.

"My father is a doctor in Jaruji Hospital. And my dad is a science professor" -North said. Fluke, Ohm, Kao and Earth looked at each other. That hospital sound familiar. They were also surprised that North had two fathers.

"Jaruji Hospital?" -Earth asked curiously.

"Actually, I think you know my grandfather. He is the owner of the hospital. Beam Jaruji. And my father is Pha Jaruji" -North said to Earth. Earth smiled and let out a small chuckle.

"War knows your grandfather too" -Earth said.

"Yeah. We had dinner with him last month" -War said smiling. "I know him since I was a kid" -War said. Kao already knew that Earth would see Dr. Beam. He always liked Earth very much.

"Maybe we should have dinner with your grandfather" -Earth said pointing at War and him only. North smiled and nodded. Yin became so angry. He couldn't believe that North was slowly getting closer to his family and that his Uncle Earth would take North's side over his.

"Do you actually want to study medicine or you are doing it for your grandfather?" -Kao said. He wouldn't stop asking him questions but North always answered politely.

"I want to study medicine. I grew up viewing the hospital and it has caught my interest" -North said.

"Just because you grew up there, you want to do it? You don't like anything else?" -Kao said looking at North which got him even more nervous.

"Yin and I are taking over the companies because of you, dad and Uncle Ohm. We grew up in those companies too" -War said looking at Kao. He wouldn't lose a friend like this. Kao glared at him.

"I actually want to work in the company" -Yin said.

"I actually want to be a doctor. I have done research in other areas like engineering but I don't like them as much" -North said. His heart beat was going faste than usual. Yin was complicating things even more.

"Why don't you two like each other?" -Earth finally asked pointing at Yin and North. He wanted to know the real reason. Soccer couldn't be it.

"He is mean to girls" -Yin said drinking some of his orange juice.

"I am not" -North said looking at Earth. He knew he had to get to Earth first.

"So what happened wasn't you hitting a girl and making her cry?" -Yin said.

Everyone looked at North.

He cleared his throat and was ready to explain.

"I was a kid when that happened and I didn't hit her. Ploy lied and told everyone I did. She is the one that is always mean and lying to get her way" -North said in a more serious tone.

"So you fight with girls?" -Kao said but North didn't know what to say anymore. It was his word against Yin's and this was his family.

"Yeah. She is sometimes mean, especially when no one is around" -War said looking at his food. "She once told me I looked like a potato" -War said laughing but Earth and Kao could see there was more. Fluke and Ohm turned around to look at Yin.

North smiled.

"You kind of do" -North whispered and War laughed.

"Ploy is that friend of yours. The manager's daughter?" -Ohm asked.

"She is" -Yin said.

"And she isn't mean" -Yin said.

"Then I guess I am lying" -War said in a soft voice. Yin looked at War's face change.

"I believe you" -North said.

"Me too" -Earth said looking at War and then turned to look at Kao but he didn't say anything which made Earth even more angry at him.

"Do you believe me Uncle Fluke?" -War asked giving those puppy eyes to Fluke.

"I haven't met Ploy yet so I don't know sunshine" -Fluke said awkwardly.

"You had never met North either but you believed Yin" -War said. Fluke cleared his throat.

"Don't be disrespectful" -Kao said.

"I apologize for making you think that I wasn't a good person. I want to be War's friend. In reality I don't have many friends either. I concentrate so much in school and that incident in middle school has been bad for me socially, I really just want go be friends with War" -North said. Ploy's lies had North looking like a mean jerk and Yin always being rude to him was even worse. Everyone liked Yin a lot.

"You can be friends" -Earth said. Kao didn't say anything. Earth was ready to snap if he did say something inappropriate. He was tired of him acting this tough against a kid.

Yin sighed. He looked at his Uncle Kao. How could they make North stop? They had nothing.

They finished having dinner. Kao stood up and went to his home office with Ohm to give him some documents he had come for but Kao made them stay for dinner and Yin insisted on staying too.

Fluke, Earth, Yin, North and War were still sitting down on the dining area.

"So North how is your father? I haven't seen him in a long time" -Earth asked.

"He is good. He actually wants to leave the hospital already" -North said.

"How come?" -Earth asked.

"My little cousin is special and she is living with us until my aunt gets better. She needs a lot of attention so my dad wants to provide that" -North said. Yin and War didn't know this about him. Fluke and Earth already knew about Pha's sister. She had an alcohol problem.

"What about Wayo? How is he? We graduated the same year in college" -Fluke said surprising Yin.

"He is good. This is actually his last year teaching. He will be part of the school board programs starting next year" -North said.

"Is that how you will get into college?" -Yin asked.

"Yin." -Fluke glared at him. North didn't answer to that. He was sick and tired of falling into Yin's stupid comments.

"Lets go" -Ohm said walking in with Kao.

"Yes please" -Fluke said. There was so much tension. Yin was being rude and he could feel Earth get annoyed by him. They couldn't fight because of their children, they are a family.

Yin didn't want to go but he had to.

"You can take him to the movies tomorrow" -Earth said to North. "Right?" -He then asked Kao with a pressured tone.

"mm" -Kao nodded.

"Before we go tomorrow, can we stop by to my grandpa's house? I want to see him" -War said. Earth frowned. He didn't like War going without him or Kao.

"Sure" -North said but War wasn't asking him. They both turned to see Earth.

"We can go together when you come back from the movies or we can go have breakfast with him on saturday" -Earth said.

"Yes. We will go later to see him" -Kao said agreeing with Earth. War didn't want to add any to it. Earth had been so supportive today that he would do whatever he says.

"Ok" -War said smiling at Earth and then at North.
North left a few minutes later. War thanked him for being respectful and not falling for Yin's tricks at the end. He also thanked him for not running away.

"Don't fight" -War said to Earth and Kao. Earth was really angry at Kao for not having War's back and now they find out that one of Yin's friend has been mean to him all along without his knowledge.

"We won't" -Kao said but Earth had anger all over his face.

"You have been disliking this boy without knowing the truth" -Fluke said to Yin. They were on their way home.

"Ploy had her arm so red and was crying when she came to tell me that North had hit her" -Yin said.

"But you weren't there when it happened so you don't know if its true. And I do believe War. War wouldn't lie about something like this" -Fluke said.

"He was just protecting North" -Yin said angrily to Fluke.

"Watch your tone" -Ohm said to Yin. "War wouldn't lie Yin and you know that! He has always been by your side in everything. He knows she is your friend and that is why he probably never told you." -Ohm said.

"You and Kao are very rude" -Fluke said. Yin just sighed. What if Ploy did lie? Was she always mean to War?

"Maybe we should meet this friend of yours and see" -Fluke said talking about Ploy.

They got home and Yin quickly went to his bedroom. He called and texted War many times but he obviously never answered.

"If you don't answer I will go back to your house" -Yin texted him and called him one more time which finally War answered.

"What?" -War replied.

"Why didn't you tell me about her being mean to you?" -Yin asked. He didn't want to believe that Ploy was that mean girl but War wouldn't lie about that.

"Why would I?" -War asked.

"Because you are suppose to trust me. You and I-- We--" -Yin couldn't finish his thoughts.

"I thought- I really thought that you would believe her instead of me and choose her. You like her." -War said with a soft voice. That is what he has been feeling since they were kids. Yin and her have more history so War felt like an outsider when they were together.

"I would never do that War" -Yin said. He felt like War didn't believe him.

"Would you- would you pick North over me?" -Yin said worried.

"no" -War quickly answered. "I just want to make new friends. This is good. so you don't feel guilty when you want to spend time with your friends instead of me" -War said. He felt like he had been tying Yin to him.

Yin was silent.

"You were really rude today. North didn't do anything wrong. I didn't want my dad to chase him away so I kept- I kept defending him" -War said.

"I'm sorry" -Yin said realizing that War only was doing his best for him. War was mad at him during dinner but never once did something against him. War knows all his secrets and never said something to throw him under the bus like he had done to North.

"Do you trust me?" -Yin said but War didn't answer. Yin couldn't help but cry. How did he let this happen? When did War start doubting him?

War was already crying. He always thought of telling Yin about Ploy but all this bad scenarios kept appearing in his mind.

"I have to go to bed now" -War said. His voice was breaking and Yin imagine why.

"Don't sleep yet. Wait for me" -Yin said and hanged up. War would obviously wait.

"Where are you going?" -Ohm said. Fluke was already asleep but Ohm was working in the living room.

"I'm going to see War" -Yin said.

"It is late" -Ohm said.

"I called him" -Yin said with a sad voice. Ohm saw Yin's red eyes. He nodded and Yin left.

Earth and Kao were already asleep. War went downstairs to open the door for Yin. Yin hugged him as soon as he opened the door.

"I'm sorry. I would never choose anyone over you" -Yin said hugging War tightly. War hugged him back. Yin carried War, he put his legs around Yin's waist. They went in the bedroom, Yin laid War on the bed and he was in between his legs trapped by War's legs around his waist. They were still hugging each other. They didn't want to let go. Yin raised his head to look at War. He touched War's face and stared at each other for a couple of minutes. Suddenly, Yin started moving his head down, he met War's lips with his own. It was a sweet kiss, just a soft peck. War still closed his eyes and let Yin kiss him. He had been waiting for that for a long time.

The kiss didn't last long. Yin moved from in between War's legs. He laid beside him and hugged him. War hugged him too putting his arm around Yin's waist and Yin's hand was around his neck touching his head.

They fell asleep hugging each other.
