Tomorrow is thanksgiving. This last two days have been.. really weird. Okay, weird for me considering I only spend my days in the cemetery with Davina, trying new spells all the time.

Elena erased her memories about Damon last night. It was awful. She kept crying, and Alaric tried to find the source of their love; the moment Elena knew she was inlove with him. She didn't want to admit it, cause she was with Stefan at the time. But it worked, she doesn't remember her love for him, which is actually kind of great, because now, she is stable, and things can go faster.

I wonder about what Kai is doing. I have no idea if he is counting the days, and waiting for Thanksgiving, or if he's just drowning his sorrows in booze, trying to get the days go faster. Not that it would help.

My thoughts were interrupted by someone banging on my door. I furrowed brows, and walking to the door. "Elena here, open the door Dawn." I heard her say, still banging on the door.

I unlocked the door, and Elena bursted through the door. She was panicking, to say at least.

"You alright?" I asked, closing the door behind me.

"Damon's here!" She said, pacing back and forth.

"What? How is that even possible?" I asked. How the hell did he get back from the dead? It should be impossible, it is impossible! The other side doesn't even exist anymore.

"I don't know, Caroline told me that he told Stefan that he was trapped in an alternate universe, 1994 Mystic Falls." She said, rubbing her hand on her temple.

My eyes widened. He couldn't, it was impossible. "Are yo-you sure?" I asked, stuttering a bit.

"That is what he told Stefan! I went straight to Alaric, and got him to promise me not to lift the compulsion. Before matters could even get worse, he showed up right outside my dorm room. He begged me to open the doord, and I panicked so much I ran out of the window. I went to the hospital before he found me again." She sighed.

Was this even possible? Was Damon in the same place as Kai was? I felt the need to smile, but I hided it, and it was freaking hard.

"I'm going to talk to Stefan, maybe he knows more." She said, sitting on my bed.

"You should." I said, tapping my thighs as I sat by her.

She breathed out. "Okay, for more fun details. Tomorrow is friendsgiving! You got my text with the details, right?"

I nodded.

"Okay, great. Do you have some alcohol in here?" She asked, poiting behind her.

"Oh, uhm not really." I said awkwardly.

"Oh, that's fine too. Can you come a little earlier to help Caroline with the food? I'm inviting Liam over." She asked with a grin on her face. Really, she already moved on?

"Liam?" I smirked at her.

"Yeah. He's really cute and shit, so why not?" She shrugged, before walking towards the door.

"Oh, okay." I smiled. "I'll be there, when?" I asked.

"I'll text you when I get to my dorm, I'll ask her." She opened the door. "See ya tomorrow!" She yelled before closing the door.

Was Damon in the same prison world as Kai was in? What if he met him?

As Kai and I walked up to his house, Kai stopped his tracks.

"You okay?" I asked.

"This is.. this is just the first time I'm going to meet all of your family. Like, I've met your dad, but not Elijah and Rebekah. It just scares me." He said as he stared at the huge house.

"It'll be fine. If they do something I'll magically shove their asses out of the room." I smiled, and held out my hand. "C'mon."

He breathed in and out, before grabbing my hand. I also took a deep breath before opening the door. I hadn't seen my dad for awhile now.

I walked in, and it smelled delicious.

"Hello little wolf," I heard, and I turned my head to see my dad.

"Hi dad." I said, and wrapped my arms around him.

After a ten second hug, he looked at Kai. "Who's this?"

"This is my boyfriend, Kai. You met him this summer." I smiled.

"Ahh, yes. Happy thanksgiving," Dad smirked at him.

"Like wise." Kai smiled, he was nervous as fuck.

"How long have you been here?" Caroline asked as I placed the turkey on the table.

"A few weeks, you? I got a vampire friend of mine to help me to compel some people." I said.

"Since I started here freshman year. What vampire?" She asked. We walked into the kitchen again, grabbed the vegetables.

"One from where I come from, she went long time ago," I nodded. I had to come up with lie after lie, it was exhausting, but I couldn't tell the truth.

"Where do you come from?" She asked. God, that girl knew how to talk your head off.

"I got the wine!" I heard someone shout. Thank god Elena got here, felt like Caroline was interrogating me.

"Yay!" Caroline said, and we walked out to the table. There were a few people following her.

"This is Dawn," Elena said, introducing me to the others.

"Dawn, this is Tyler, Liv, Lukas, Liam and Jo," Elena said, and as she pointed to Jo my heart stopped.

That was Josette.

I stiffened up. I haven't aged a bit, if she remembers me she will tell everyone who I am.

"Nice to meet you guys." I smiled.

"I knew a Dawn once, nevermind, I don't really remember her anyways," Jo brushed it off. Thank god.

Wait, what? How doesn't she remember me? Last time she saw me was thirteen years ago, and she asked me to join the coven again? I'm also the girlfriend of her brother who murdered her siblings? Something is not right.

" All right! If everyone could gather around the table at their assigned seats, then, um..." Caroline says after we have served the dinner out. "We will each share something that we are thankful for in 100 words or less, so..."

We all sit around the table. The food smelled amazing.

"So, does anyone want to see some embarrassing baby videos of Liv?" Luke chuckled, he was sitting right next to me.

"Happy Birthday! Wave to me!" A Jo's voice shouted. I looked at his phone, and I remember that day actually. I smiled a little to myself, and at the same time I really hoped you couldn't see me in the video.

"Hi, Josie." I saw Luke and Liv waving at the camera.

"How old are you?" Jo laughed into the camera.

"Four," both said in unison.

"That's sound like Jo," Elena furrowed her eyebrows.

" That is my voice. I took that video 18 years ago at a birthday party for the twins." Jo said, and her eyes widened. She placed her hand over her mouth. Yep, they figured it out.

"Oh, my god." Liv gasped.

"Lukas and Olivia?" Jo gasped.

"Jo as in Josette?" Lukas furrowed his eyebrows.

"Hang on. You guys know each other?" Elena said, standing up from her chair.

Jo was tearing up. "I'm their sister."

"So if you don't know each other, then how did you all just happen to end up at the same tiny liberal arts school?" Caroline asked. They had been asking a hell lot of questions, and I was bored to death.

"We had a family friend here... Sheila Bennett." Jo said. Yep, the bitch who got Kai sent away.

"You knew Bonnie's grams?" Elena asked.

"She took me under her wing. She also helped my family put Kai away." Jo said. I could easily see that this wasn't a topic she liked to talk about, but of course, these girls don't care.

"Kai? Wh... Kai as in Damon's Kai?" Elena asked. What, how did she know that?

"As in our brother, my twin." Jo said. Yes, and now comes the speech on how terrible he was and what de did, blah blah blah.

"There are two sets of twins in your family?" Caroline asked. Were you dropped on your head as a baby or are you just born stupid? God, I'm happy they can't read my thoughts.

"Yeah, there were until my coven put Kai in a prison world." Luke said, nodding slowly.

"Now there's just Luke and me." Liv said. Yeah, we got that.

Liam stands up. "I'm sorry. Did you say coven?" He said confused. Oh my god, this is hilarious.

Oh my god.. Liam is still here!" Elena shouts, looking at Liv and Luke.

"I think he meant "oven"." Tyler says. What the fuck, why should Luke have said 'until my oven put Kai in a prison world'? Geez, Liam isn't retarded.

"Yeah." Nodding at Liam.

"Oh, look! We don't have a wine opener on the table Liam, you have a wine opener in your room. Why don't you get it? Take your time." Caroline compels Liam, and he leaves shortly after. "As you were saying, you put Kai away?"

"Kai killed 4 of our bothers and sisters to make a point, but he was really targeting Lukas and Olivia." Jo said, wiping her tears away with her sleeve.

"Why them?" Tyler asked curiously.

"Because in our coven, twins are in line to be leaders." Jo said.

"Gemini Coven." I said quietly, and everyone turned their heads to me.

"How do you know that?" Liv snapped her head to me.

"I know your coven thinks they are a secret, but you're really not. I've heard about it." I said, taking a sip of my wine.

"He was a psychopath, so they sent him away. Kai went to his prison, Jo dodged a bullet, and now the leadership falls on us." Liv changed the subject.

"Oh god." Caroline groaned and rolled her eyes. Okay, rude much?

"Sorry that my family drama isn't appropriate dinner conversation, Caroline." Liv scoffed, and stood up.

"That's not what I meant. It's—" Caroline began saying, but Liv left the room.

"Rude much?" I scoffed at Caroline. "They are talking about something very personal, and you are in the conversation and all, but the minute it doesn't interest you, you answer like that?" I said, being pretty annoyed.

"I didn't mean to be rude." She said innocently. You didn't mean to be rude? Nice way of showing it.

"Okay, I think I may have missed something. If you and Liv can both be the leaders of your coven, why did she just get so upset?" Elena asked.

"Because there aren't two leaders, are there, Jo?" Luke smiled sarcastically to Jo.

"In our coven's tradition, after their 22nd birthday, the twins merge their strength. The stronger one wins, absorbing their twin's power, and the weaker of the two..." Jo said, not wanting finish the sentence.

"The weaker of the two what?" Tyler asked.

"The weaker one dies." Luke said, stood up and left the room.

It got quiet between us. Caroline was looking at me with guilt in her eyes, while everyone was just quiet. "Okay, let's get drunk!" I shouted, and drank all of my wine.

This was actually okay. Tyler was a cool guy, and Caroline too. Elena was talking with Stefan on the phone, while we were talking. Stefan, Damon and Alaric were apparently in Portland, trying to get on hold to the Ascendant. They were literally doing everything for me.

Elena has her best friend inside the prison world. I have no idea how, it should be impossible. But if I'm guessing right, when the other side collapsed, Sheila freaking Bennett just did that Bonnie went into that prison world, knowing she was a Bennett witch and could get out.

Suddenly Jo's phone rang. "Oh god." She mumbled before picking it up. "Hey Ric!"

I tried listening to what Ric was saying, but I didn't get anything with me.

"Ric, you traveled 3,000 miles for nothing. The Ascendant's with me." She laughed into the phone.

My attention snapped right to her. The Ascendant.. If I could just get my hands in it, I could easily get Kai out.

Suddenly Jo collapses.

"Jo? Are you OK?" Elena rushed to Jo.

"Something's wrong." She says, panicking. "I think my dad.." She mumbles.

I rush to her side. "Your dad is what?"

"He's trying to kill me." She says between her gasping breaths.

"Oh my god." Caroline says, standing up. "Is there anything you can do?" Caroline asks me.

"Uh, uh.." I say, trying to remember any kinds of spells. If Joshua was trying to kill Jo, that means he was linking her into something. A picture, maybe, or something that belonged to her. I needed to unlink them.

I put my hand on Jo's. "Phasmatos omnio ligor coldate sangorium, Phasmatos omnio ligata soluto, Phasmatos omnio ligata soluto vingulia cordit." I repeated to myself, and as I was chanting I could feel the lights flicker. Something behind us shattered into pieces, which I guess was a light bulb.

Jo was still groaning in pain. "Phasmatos omnio ligor coldate sangorium, Phasmatos omnio ligata soluto." I chanted, and she was still groaning. He was strong. It was me against the coven leader, and I was sure as hell not loosing.

Something inside of me made me push to save Jo's life. "Phasmatos omnio ligata soluto vingulia cordit!" I literally screamed, and I heard the light bulbs behind me shatter into pieces.

Jo gasped as she sat up straight, and looked right into my eyes. "It's okay." I said, and wrapped my arms around her. It looked probably weird, she didn't even recognize me anymore, but she was my best friend until I moved from the coven, it wasn't weird for me.

She hugged me back, which actually caught me by surprise. "Thank you." She whispered into my ear.

I pulled away, and smiled at her.

"That's some power you have there." Elena said, looking at me suspiciously.

"I'm the first born of two witches, it would be weird if I wasn't." I said, helping Jo back on her feet.

"Wow, that is power. What is your name again?" Caroline said, crossing her arms.

"Can you please stop interrogating me? Yes, I'm powerful. As said, I'm the first born of two powerful witches, and I have practiced magic since I was a baby. So please, shut the fuck up." I groaned, before standing up and walking to the door.

I opened the door, and slammed it shut. While they were doing everything for me, all I needed was just to lay back, and wait for Kai. Damon is so eager to get Bonnie back apparently, he will compel someone to steal the Ascendant.

As I walked down the hall, I could feel someone following me. I turned around, and saw.. Jo?

"Jo?" I furrowed my eyebrows, but she grabbed my arm and dragged me down the hall. I pointed my finger at my arm, and her grip flew off. "What the hell are you doing?" I asked.

"Where is your dorm?" She asked stressed.

I walked a couple of meters, before arriving to my room. I opened the door, and Jo rushed inside, closing it. "What are you doing?"

"Can people here us?" She asked as she crossed her arms.

"No, I have it spelled." I said, sitting on my bed.

"What are you doing here Dawn?" She asked firmly.

"What are you talking about?" I asked, I was confused; Hadn't she lost her memories or something?

"You know, when I first saw you, I didn't recognize you. Probably because of my dad, or something; but when I felt your power, I knew it was you. I've never felt a power like that, only once before when we were kids. What are you doing here?" She asked, pacing back and forth. Shit.

"Jo, I can explain-" I said, but she cut me off.

"What the hell are you doing here?!" She shouted. "If you think for one second that you are getting out Kai-"

"Jo, those are not my intentions at all! I'm over Kai, really. Even if I wanted to, my dad wouldn't allow me." I said, waving my hands in front of her to get her to be quiet. "My uncle is doing something nearby, I just went back to college and I wanted to go, so we fixed that I can continue my studies here. I'll be gone in no time, and I had no idea that you, or the twins would be here. I have nothing to do with you or something, I'm just passing through!" I said.

"Why are you BFF with Elena?!"

"Because she noticed I was a witch and she wanted something. It's no biggie, I promise. Don't tell any on them who I am, they have a history with my dad and it will just fuck up everything. I'm trying to be normal, please Jo." I begged her.

"How do I know I can trust you?" She eyed me.

"I don't care about anything doing with the coven, or Kai! I've moved on!" I said, trying to get that inside of her brain.

She relaxed, and looked at me. "Fine. But if I suspect anything to do with Kai, I will tell everyone about you. Got it?" She said, pointing her index finger at me.

"Yes, please, as I said, I'm just passing through." I assured her with a smile.

"Okay then. We'll talk another time, okay?" She said as she walked to the door.

"Yes." I sighed in relief. "Bye." I said as she closed the door.

I'm happy she bought it, but what did she mean by that her dad had something to do with her not recognizing me?

I decided to throw that thought away, and I laid down on my bed. What a day.

Kai Parker Point of view - Prison world, May 4th 1994:

God, I have my magic, knife with Bennett blood and the Ascendant. All I need now is to get back to my plane, and fly back to Mystic Falls, and I will be back in the real world.

And back with Dawn.
