Dawn Mikaelson

23rd July 1987

"Dawn!" I heard somebody shout as I slowly woke up. I rested my head on my elbow, rubbing my eyes.

Something clicked on my window, and I realized somebody was throwing rocks on my window.

"Dawn!" I heard somebody shout louder, and I sat up straight. I crawled to the window that was connected to my bed, somehow.

I looked out the window, and saw Kai standing there. I immediatly smiled, and opened my window to the fullest.

"Rapunzel, let down your hair!" He shouted.

"You do know people are sleeping, right?" I giggled him, smiling at him.

"I can't sleep!" He said, and I waved him to come up here.

"Wait there, I'll cloak us when I get downstairs!" I shouted, and closed my window. I jumped out of my bed, and started chanting. "Phasmatos radium calaraa."

There, I was invinsible. God I loved that spell.

I walked to my closet and put on some sweatpants and a hoodie.

I walked down the stairs carefully. I saw Marissa and Daniel, fighting. They always fought when we were asleep, or when they thought we were.

I opened the door slowly, and sneaked out. "Phasmatos Oculacs."

"Kai!" I whispered loudly, and he appeard around the corner.

"Hey." He said, a smile growing on his face.

"What happened?" I asked, sitting on the staircase.

"You know, my father being ashamed of me. Calling me an abomination, slapping me and calling me worthless. You know, just a typical evening in Parker residence." He said, sitting down on the porch. "Where you asleep? Did I wake you up?" He asked concerned.

I chuckled. "Yes I was, but I don't mind." 

"Can I sleep with you?" He asked, blushing a bit. He had slept with me (not in that way) loads of times, and he still blushed everytime he asked.

"Of course you can, let me just cloak us." I said, holding my hand out.

"Can I?" He asked carefully. He knew well that I didn't mind, but he hated to ask me this, because sharing your magic is kind of a big deal.

I reached out my hand for him. "Here."

He held my hand, and closed his eyes. A bright red light appeard between our touch, and after a couple of seconds he let go. 

He smiled, feeling the rush of magic inside of him again. "Phasmatos radium calaraa, Phasmatos radium calaraa." He chanted, and then he opened his eyes.

"Come on." I said, opening the door. 

We walked carefully, hand in hand upstairs to my room. I closed the door carefully, and started undressing. I turned my back against him as I took of my sweatshirt, and put on my big oversized t-shirt.

I turned around, and saw Kai smirking at me, shirtless. "You know I'm perfectly fine with you not wearing a shirt."

"Oh?" I said, raising an eyebrow as I walked over to my bed.

"Yeah, I mean you sleep with me shirtless all the time, it's unfair." He pouted, and he removed his sweatpants.

"Dream on, Parker." I said, laying down on my bed.

"Aw, I mean it' no biggie. After all, I've seen you naked." He shrugged.

My eyes widened. I sat up straight. "You have not!" I shouted, trying to hide my smile.

"Oh." He said, that smirk on his face. "I have."

"Where?" I asked, completely shocked.

"You once forgot to pull your curtains one time when you got out of the shower. Okay, more than once." He said, lying next to me.

"Are you serious?" I said, hitting him in a playful way on his chest.

"You know you secretly like it." He smirked.

"I like the thought of you seeing my boobs? Yeah, love it." I said sarcastically, rolling my eyes.

He sat up, and moved closer to the wall so he was leaning against it. He put both of his hands on my waist, and moved me on his lap, so I was straddling him. "Hey, I'm kidding." He said, putting some hair behind my ear.

"You are?"

"Yes. But not about sleeping with me without shirt that is in fact completely fine with me." He said smiling.

I was blushing like crazy, and I hid my face in his chest. "Oh my god, Kai."

"Am I making you uncomfortable?" He asked.

I sat up straight again, looking into his eyes. "No." I said smiling.

"Then what is it?" He asked. He sounded complete calm in his voice, and I knew he was trying so hard not to smile right there.

I began smiling, and then I pulled my big t-shirt over my head. "You're lucky that I was wearing a bra." I said, and his eyes widened.

I started giggling, he looked so shocked that I actually did it.

"I don't want you to feel like I pressured you to do it." Kai said, with guilt in his voice. "I was only joking, I don't want to pressure you to do anything."

"You didn't. You just gave me the idea." I smirked, and I brought my face closer to his.

Our noses were touching, and I could feel his cold mint breath. I pressed my lips against his, and he kissed immediatly back. He cupped my face with his large hands, and I swear to god this was heaven.

He lifted me off his lap, not breaking the kiss. He layed me down gently, and he was hovering above me.

His tongue slipped into my mouth, and this went from a gently kiss to a hot make out session in matter of seconds.

After minutes of just making out, he slowly pulled away.

"I think maybe we should go to sleep," He whispered, pointing at the clock on the nightstand, and it was showing 3:21 AM.

I giggled, "I think so too." 

Kai layed down, and opened his arms. I gently placed myself in his arms, and I turned around so I was facing him, or maybe his chest due to our height difference.

"Good night, Kai." I said, and I slowly drifted away to sleep.

"Good morning, Little Wolf." I heard my dad, and he opened the curtains.

"Go away." I mumbled, and in one hand movement the curtains closed. I was having a dream of me and Kai, when I was 15. That was the first time I made out with Kai.

"Your uncle Kol is here," He said, opening them again.

"I was having the best dream ever!" I shouted, as I sat up.

"You can return to your dream when you go to sleep afterwards." He said, walking closer to the bed. "Did you dream of that boy?"

"About Kai, yes." I said, rolling my eyes that he used the term 'boy' instead of Kai.

"You know you need to get over him, it's been eighteen years my darling." He said, stroking my cheek.

"I need to find out how to get him out of there." I said quietly. I hadn't mentioned to my father yet that I was looking for a spell to get him out.

"Dawn, that's too dangerous." He said, sounding all serious.

I decided to drop the subject, I did not want to make him mad. 

"When can I move out?" I asked. It was embarresing to still live with my dad, but I didn't have a choice.

"You know when. When you get your magic under control. Remember when you sneezed when we were out in the french quarter, and then suddenly red roses were blooming everywhere?" He said, a smile grewing on his face. It was kind of funny, but what if something else happens? Something bad?

"I know."

"What happened with your control? When you lived in Portland you had your magic perfectly under control?" He asked, furrowing his brows.

"Maybe because then I wasn't emotionally unstable?" I asked, fake smiling.

"Come downstairs, Kol and the others are waiting for you." He said, and disappeard from my room.

I groaned and walked to my closet. I put a band t-shirt (Guns 'N Roses) and a pair of grey sweatpants, and my hair into a ponytail. I opened the door, and rushed downstairs.

I walked into the kitchen, and saw Rebekah, Elijah and Kol sitting around the table.

"Hello." I said, walking to the sink and grabbing a glass of water.

"Hello wolfie." Rebekah said.

I walked to a chair, between Kol and Elijah. Elijah was wearing a suit, I have noo idea how he survives.

"Hello darling." Kol said smiling, doing one hand movement and the glass flew into his hand. He chuckled before drinking my glass of water.

I waved my hand, and water went all over his shirt. I snatched the glass of water from him. "Hi." I said, smiling.

Rebekah started laughing, and Elijah shook his head with a smile on his face.

"You're lucky you're my niece." Kol said, glaring at me before disappearing from the room to my dad's.

I chuckled, and drank my glass of water.

"Have you heard the news for what has happened in Mystic Falls?" Elijah asked, as my dad entered the room.

"No. You can't even go to the bathroom without somebody dying over there." He said, leaning against the counter with his arms crossed.

"The Other Side is gone. Damon Salvatore and Bonnie Bennett.. they're dead." Elijah said.

"Well, that's a shame." He said, smirking.

"Okay, I'll just go upstairs." I said, since they were clearly not saying anything.

I walked upstairs, and jumped into my bed. My days were so boring, nothing happened here. My best friend is Davina, but there is literally nothing to do here.

I wish Kai was here.

"Dawn?" Somebody was knocking on my door. 

"Come in." I said, and pushed the door open with my finger.

"How is my favorite niece?" Kol said, as he closed the door.

"I'm fine. How is my favorite uncle?" I said as he sat down on my bed.

"Aw, I'm flattered." He said, putting his hand on his chest.

I smiled, playing with  my fingers. "I want you to know, if there is anything you need or want to ask about I'm always here." He said. Nobody saw this side of 'the wildest mikaelson' or 'the happy homicidal'. Not even my dad, Rebekah or Elijah.

"Thanks."

"I heard from your father that you wanted to look for a spell to find that boyfriend of yours?" He asked.

"I know it sounds stupid, but I have to. I'm trying to find out what I need to do the spell, but it's impossible." I said, rubbing my temple.

"Why do it alone when we can team up?" Kol said, and my head shot up.

"Are you serious?" I asked. If Kol could help me, we could do it in secret for my dad.

"Yeah. I know your dad isn't allowing you to do big magic, he's afraid that it's going to hurt you. But what if we do a locater spell on one of the Gemini freaks and we can try to figure this spell out? We can tell your dad that we are going on a big roadtrip, we just don't tell where we are going. " He said.

"Let's do it." I grinned.

"I can talk to Klaus about the roadtrip, and we'll probably leave in a couple of days, we first need to do the locater spell, and we have to first figure out how, I just need to find out what we need to do it." He said, standing from the bed. "And why is it that no one can hear anything from your room? Elijah and I tested it before." He said, furrowing his eyebrows as he was about to go out.

"I live in a mansion, full of vampires with super hearing. Don't you think I've spelled my room with five different spells?" I said. Nobody could enter without my permission, and you had to be invited  every single time, or not my dad, since he owned the house. It was complicated. And it was sound proof. I once cloaked my whole room, that didn't end well since my room is connected with the house.

"Oh, that's clever."

"Yeah."

"I'll be here tomorrow, and we will plan our plan. Love you." He said, and he closed the door.

"Love you too." I said, but I knew he couldn't hear me.

This made me happy. Maybe there is hope for me and Kai, after all?

Ending sucked, but I wanted to finish first chapter :) I think I will start each chapter with a flashback from the good old days, what do you think of that? Please answer so I know to the next chapter :)
