18. Dramatic Daylight

I based this chapter on Maroon 5's song, Daylight. One of my favorite songs, actually.

Anyway, hi, minna-san!

Let's start!

DAY THREE - ERZA ADVENTURE

4:01 am

-/-/-

Jade watched as the arrow soared the winds before pushing Erza out of the way.

"Erza, Jade!" Lucy yelled.

The arrow hit Jade's left shoulder. She winced in pain, and Wendy tried healing her.

"T-There's a block! I can't heal Jade-san!" she said worriedly.

They removed the arrow and soon, Jade was being healed.

"Damn it..." Synarto snapped his fingers, "That girl had to be in the way."

He went down the tree and went to them, "Erza Scarlet, I've finally found you."

"Don't you do anything to Erza!" Lucy summoned Taurus.

"Mooooove away from Lucy-san's body and her friends!" Taurus yelled in anger. But, soon, he was returned to his key.

"Meet the magic-blocking prince of Algeak," he smirked, "I'm Synarto Rascigoo, the magic-blocking archer. I've come here and joined Tornado Requiem to get revenge on one person."

"Who's that person?" Laxus demanded.

"No other than Natsu Dragneel."

That brought shock to everyone.

"Your dragon is the king of fire dragons, am I right?"

"What do you want with IGNEEL?!" Natsu yelled furiously.

"He commanded every fire dragon to destroy my family. Only my brother and I remained. To kill you is to kill Igneel. But, to kill Erza Scarlet... is to kill you," he smirked.

And, Erza was shot in the stomach.

"Erza!" they all screamed.

Erza fell in Synarto's arms, and in an instant, Natsu was also knocked out.

"Ja ne, Fairy Tail," he grinned evilly before disappearing into bits of dust.

"Erza..." Gray fell to his knees.

Lucy was crying, and so was Wendy. Jade was silently preventing her tears to fall, and the other boys were stunned.

"Hey, I gotta tell you something," Laxus spoke up, walking over to Gray.

"What?" he asked.

He sighed before saying words that surprised everyone.

"I knew about Erza's disappearance. And her intentions."

---

"Damn you, Tornado Revising!" Natsu shouted as they reached Tornado Requiem's base of operations.

"It's Tornado Requiem, fire dragon slayer," Renia said, "What an idiot."

"Juvia?!" Natsu's eyes widened, seeing the girl in her old clothes and old hairstyle. On her chest was not the emblem of Fairy Tail, but a doll.

Just like in Phantom Lord.

"Juvia, you gotta snap out of it!" Natsu yelled, "Save yourself before it's too l---"

He was cut off, with a knife stabbed in his back.

"Take them to the magic-draining room," Reginald said.

"Yes, sir."

DAY THREE - ERZA ADVENTURE

5:58 am

---

No one was talking. Instead, they all sat on a hill, waiting for the sunrise.

"What convinced Juvia to turn her back on us?" Lucy asked, wiping her tears, "And, why did they get Natsu and Erza? What did we do to them? Do we really deserve this?"

"We didn't," Gajeel said, "Maybe, it's like that fate crap the pipsqueak read about."

"I can't believe it, though," Wendy sighed, "We all went here to get Erza-san, but then, she got taken away again."

"I just feel so... alone," Gray looked at the sun that had only little bits of it showing, "I feel so alone and dangerous and... and, I feel like my heart would break without Erza, or my magic, or my home."

"Sure, your heart would break. But, as long as you have yourself, you'll find your way back home," Jade said, "Sure, it's painful, but take a look on the bright side: you ain't dead yet. Make the most out of something that you think you can't do. That's what makes the world go round, with a side of love."

Gray looked at Jade, who was smiling at the rising sun, 'Maybe, she was just misunderstood. That's probably the reason why she looked so depressed and alone...'

He looked over the rising sun and smiled, "The daylight's pretty dramatic today, yeah?"

They all smiled at him, "Yeah."

"Well, as the leader of the Erza Adventure," Laxus stood up, "I say we take on Jade's advice as we go on. Let's not give up, because that's crappy. So, c'mon. We don't got any time to lose."

Everyone else stood up, determined.

"Let's get back everyone!" Lucy grinned. Gray punched his palm.

"I'm all iced up."

DAY THREE - ERZA ADVENTURE

9:03 pm

---

"Alright, we already got our magic power back," Jade said, picking up a random stick and drawing figures on the ground, "Now, we gotta pass the jungle" - she drew a tree for the jungle - "then, we'll go through Hell, no matter what happens."

"Yeah, we should go before midnight approaches," Laxus insisted.

"I actually like this random piece of meat that Jade cooked up through Laxus's magic," Gajeel said, "What is it?"

"Boar," they said in unison. Their eyes all widened, and they all laughed.

"Well, let's go!" Laxus took the stick from Jade and raised it in the air like a sword.

"Aye sir!"

"Not again..."

DAY THREE - ERZA ADVENTURE

10:19 pm

---

"So, how are you feeling, Erza?" Renia asked Erza as she was attacked by different weapons, "It's kind of amazing that your friends had the courage to show us up. But, they won't succeed, I already know that."

"You'll never get away with this!" she yelled, "Fairy Tail and Jade will defeat you!"

"Jade Greene?" Renia raised an eyebrow, "It has been a while since I fought... maybe I should fight her..."

"She'll crush you to bits," Erza hissed, before getting slapped by the woman.

"Don't underestimate me."

She walked away, furious.

'Jade, you're my only hope. You gotta save Fairy Tail for me before Tornado Requiem finds you all.'

---

Jade's ears perked up again, "Erza...?"

"Jade, what's wrong?" Lucy asked.

"N-No, it's nothing. Just keep walking."

'I swear I heard Erza. She was begging me to do something.'

"Hey, are you seriously okay?" Gajeel asked her.

"Yeah, just thought of something weird."

"Alright, whatever."

'Tornado Requiem are after us right now... and to think, I thought they stopped chasing after us because they had Erza...'

"You don't look fine, Jade-san. Should I heal you?" Wendy asked.

"No need."

'Boy, these people are really curious.'

"Hey, Jade, I've been thinking," Gray said, "Why don't you join Fairy Tail? I mean, you're pretty strong and all."

"No, I wouldn't. I'm not cut out for guilds," she answered.

"Well, think about it," Laxus insisted, "It's not that bad."

"Okay."

Still, Jade's thoughts were about Erza's words. She had to protect Fairy Tail.

'But, why? Why would I? They're stronger than I am...'

Jade looked at the team before her. A stripper, an innocent heiress, a little girl, a gigantic person, and a pierced metal-head. Maybe, she should.

'No doubt it's Erza. I should. But, what's going to come in Hell?'

Earlier that day, they learned of Erza and her intentions of doing an SS-Class job without warning from Laxus. The pieces were slowly fitting together. Did Erza foresee the future?

That Juvia would turn her back on them? That Tornado Requiem would unknowingly unleash a magic tornado that could wipe out all of Earth-Land and other worlds? That she did this in order to stop Juvia all along?

Something wasn't right. There was one piece missing. Just one piece.

"That's it," she mumbled.

"What?" Gray asked.

"They knew it all along."

Jade meant to say that Tornado Requiem already had foreseen the future of Erza's attempt to save everyone, which was currently the past.

"It's not the city of terror," Jade said, the wind suddenly going stronger, blowing her hair.

She looked at the city. Foreseeing events? Saving people? Possibilities?

"Algeak really is the city of time."

-/-/-

Let me explain the deets for this chapter!

1. Erza knew of what was going to happen. But, she didn't know that Tornado Requiem also had the ability of doing so. The question to this part is, how did Erza and Tornado Requiem foresee the future?

2. Tornado Requiem saw the upcoming events first, because, in the first place, they lived in the city of time. With Natsu and Gajeel entering the island, their foreseeing was disturbed, and they didn't see the possibility of Jade joining Fairy Tail in the Erza adventure, making Jade realize these things (further explanation in the next number) before this chapter ended. Basically, all of them were observed by Tornado Requiem, and had put a spell on them, but they didn't know Jade was going to join Fairy Tail in their explorations. And, Jade is the key to Fairy Tail's survival, because she knew everything.

Everything that was secretly locked up in her mind by Tornado Requiem, spoiler alert.

3. With Jade, Fairy Tail would know what could happen next, and they will rush off to Hell, something that would happen in the next chapter. Apparently, no one knew that the weapons used against Erza were magicked, if that's a real world. This made Erza make Jade realize about the things locked up in her brain. And, the question for this one is, who controlled the weapons and why did he/she do this to save Fairy Tail?

Quite confusing, right? Let me explain even further.

Erza had a source of foreseeing events.

So did Tornado Requiem.

A long time ago, memories of Jade were locked up by someone.

Because Jade knew of the future. Of the possibilities.

JADE KNEW EVERYTHING.

And, that's why I added her in the story. She's the plot twist all along. If you still don't understand, well, message me through the inbox thing, 'kay?

Through Jade's unlocked knowledge, what will Fairy Tail find out? Can they save Natsu, Erza and Juvia in time? Can they stop the tornado? So many questions with answers that have to be answered.

WOW. THIS IS THE MOST COMPLICATED STORY I WORKED ON.

Stay tuned in Dramatically.

End!
