~I promise you, I won't forget you even if I had dementia~

"Wait here." Jinyoung instructed daehwi and ran to the place they was earlier to admire the lights. He had forgotten to take a wooden box he brought. Inside the box, there were pictures.

When he came back, Daehwi was sitting down, using his finger to draw something in the sand.

Jinyoung crept up behind daehwi and saw that Daehwi was writing 'Jinhwi' and a heart around that word. Jinyoung found it cute when Daehwi made a ship name for them.

Daehwi sensed something behind him and he looked around, to get a shock of his life. He jumped a little and hit jinyoung on his thigh for scaring him.

Jinyoung sat down, chuckling.
He took out the pictures from his thick coat and opened the small box. Inside the box, there was the photos they took last year.

(the pictures:)

Daehwi smiled just looking at the photos.

Jinyoung put all of it inside the box, and the seashells that Daehwi picked for him, and daehwi did the same.

He closed the box and faced daehwi, holding one of his hands.
"I promise you, I won't forget you, even if I have dementia." Jinyoung promised, which made daehwi's smile fade.
Jinyoung noticed it. "What's wrong daehwi?"
Daehwi just shook his head and Jinyoung didn't think much about it.

"Choose a tree." Jinyoung said. Although daehwi was confused, he looked around and saw a tree that was curved over and he pointed to that tree. Jinyoung went to that tree and daehwi followed behind.

Jinyoung started digging the sand under the tree and daehwi helped.
As they buried the box, the moonlight shined on them.

When they finally buried it fully, Jinyoung said "Here our memories remain, if we ever lose each other, just look at this photos." He looked up to daehwi who faked a smile.

Then the most dreaded hour came.
Hesitantly and unwillingly, they hugged each other one more time and walked opposite directions, looking back at each other every few steps until they were out of both their sights.

That hug, was the longest one, but to daehwi, the last one as well.
