" D-Did I do something to upset you? " I said, looking all that worried and anxious, waiting for him to day something but all I get was just him smiling at me.

" You did nothing to upset me, your highness." Keilbuss says as he was smiling at me.

" Then why? Why do you need to break our contract? There should be something, like a reason." I said, staring at him.

" I-I don't want to lose you, I'm sorry..." I said as I started crying in front of the mighty dragon, Keilbuss.

" Your highness, I think you are misunderstanding something, right now." Keilbuss says as I looked at him, still with a crying face.

" What do you mean? You said you wanted to break off our contract, which means, I must have done something to anger you." I said

" So what is there that I have misunderstood about? Keil, please tell me if I have something that angers you, I might be able to do something to make up for it." I said as Keilbuss just chuckles and smiled at me.

" Your highness, you are misunderstanding something." Keilbuss says

" Then tell me what did I misunderstood about." I said

" Our contract, I would like to ask for your permission to break it off first, then I'll tell you what I have in mind, your highness. " Keilbuss says as I thought for a second.

( Keilbuss agreed on making a contract with me, but in the contract, it was NEVER stated that a contract shouldn't be broken by the two party, there was nothing like that when we both agreed to have a contract.)

( So it means, Keilbuss can actually break off the contract that he and I, agree upon on.)

( And that he doesn't have to ask for my permission, if he wanted to break it off immediately.)

" As I remember, there were no rules in our contract about NOT breaking off the contract we agreed on. " I said while wiping away my tears.

" That is correct, your highness. That is why, I would like to break the contract right now. " Keilbuss says

" I...I... " I said still thinking of what to say.

( Am I really going to lose someone like Keilbuss right now? Will the people I have by my side will start walking away from me? )

" T-Then... I won't stop you from breaking it off, I will not control you as we are not a master and a slave contract." I said as Keilbuss smiled at me.

" Thank you, your highness." Keilbuss says as I feel about sad, I mean, I should be honest, I did not see this would come.

I should have expected something like this, so from now on, I should start expecting thing so that I wouldn't be surprised anymore if someone leaves.

" Now, shall we start all over again, your highness? " Keilbuss says as he was still kneeling with his one leg.

" What? " I said, a bit confused.

( Start what now? )

" What are you talking about? " I said, looking a bit confused of what he just said.

" Let's start all over again, I want us to go back from the beginning, your highness." Keilbuss says

" What? Ehh? (・_・ヾ What do you mean starting all over again? " I said

" Do you want me to become a living sperm cell again? And that I will come out from my mother's vagi—" I said as Keilbuss interrupted me before I could even finish what I was about to say.

" No. That Is actually not what I meant by starting all over again, your highness. " Keilbuss says as I tilt my head a bit.

" Huh? Then what are you talking about?(・_・? ) I'm already sad that you broke our contract, now you're making me confuse about that 'starting over again'. " I said as he chuckled.

" What I mean is that I want us to start from the beginning where we were making a contract, your highness. " Keilbuss says

" But... You already just broke our contract that doesn't have a rule. " I said as Keilbuss nod his head.

" The reason why I made a contract and with no rules was that I wasn't sure if I would want to have contract for eternity with someone that I haven't known for long." Keilbuss

" As a dragon, I too, want to see what kind of a person would I want to bound with, I don't want to carelessly make an eternity contract with someone." Keilbuss says

" That is why, I have observed you from afar, your highness, see what you do and see what kind of a person you are. " Keilbuss says

" I may look like I have been playing around all day, but I do have one purpose in why I'm here, that is to get to know the person whom I would be bound to if I will have to make an eternity contract. " Keilbuss says

" I-Is that so? " I said as Keilbuss smiled and nod his head.

" Which is why, I want us to start it all over again, your highness. " Keilbuss says

" But what change your mind? " I said

" Why do you want to start all over again? " I said

" I would like to make an oath of a dragon to you, your highness. " Keilbuss says while looking at me.

( An oath of a dragon!? )

( What the... Isn't that a sacred thing to do!?! )

" W-What? Why would you want to do such a thing? I just want a temporary contract, not a vow, or an oath, or something." I said

" I just need a contract, between you and I, you don't really have to go that far about pledging to me. " I said

" You know, Keilbuss, I just needed a contract between you and I, not a life time agreement. " I said

" Remember, I told you, I just want you to be by my side and it would also be nice, if you're going to be a friend too, though I did ask for a contract from you. " I said

" That is not the answer I would like to hear from you, your highness. " Keilbuss says as he was not smiling.

" What? But i—" I said but he interrupted me, not letting me finish what I was about to say.

" As I have said, I would like us to go back from the beginning when we were making that 'temporary' contract your highness. " Keilbuss says

" Besides, to give an oath as a dragon, wouldn't that benefit you, your highness? " Keilbuss says as I sighed.

" W-Well, that is true... " I said

" But I don't want to be greedy, knowing that you are by my side and being my friend, is enough." I said

" No. " Keilbuss says

" I think, I will start giving you the oath of the dragon now, your highness." Keilbuss says as my eyes widened.

" No, YOU listen to me, that is not what I want, I mean it does gives benefit, but I don't want your oath." I said  but then Keilbuss held my hand and he gives me a magical item.

" W-What is this for? Why are you giving me a magical item right now? Are you trying to bribe me into accepting your oath? Shouldn't that be agreed by two parties? " I said as Keilbuss smiled.

" I would like to say to you beforehand, your highness." Keilbuss says

" The temporary contract we agreed has been broken, now, I will give you the oath of the dragon." Keilbuss

( What the f*ck!? )

" As what the ancient book says, the oath of a dragon is sacred, this is an oath that bonds a mortal and a dragon together." Keilbuss says

" If swearing this oath, if ever I will break the oath or you, your highness will break your oath, the bond ends immediately and will result to death. " Keilbuss says

" After I will say the oath, I will faithfully the rules of this oath and I expect, that you, your highness will also do the same." Keilbuss says

" After swearing an oath, I, as the mighty dragon, protector of the land and sky, I will consider you, your highness as one of my own bloodline. " Keilbuss says as I was just speechless.

" Okay. Stop, that is enough, this ain't funny no more." I said

" Your highness, I've been kneeling for quite too long so please, accept my pledge and let me be with you." Keilbuss says

" Why do you want me to accept an oath that is sacred!?! Are you crazy? I mean, if it's someone else, it would be an honor that a mighty dragon would give an oath, but I don't want it. " I said

" I don't want such responsibility, that's too much for someone like me, Keil. " I said

" And I don't think I deserve to receive an oath from a mighty dragon, all I ever wanted to have is that Keil would just stay with me and everyone else that I care. " I said

" And we don't actually have to do a contract about it, so just stop. Stop it. I don't need your oath, I don't need that." I said

" Just stay and if you want to leave, you can always go, but I don't want an oath Keil, that is just too much of a burden and it's unnecessary too. " I said

" I mean, I've been thinking quite a lot about our contract from before and I think, we don't need that if I only want you to stay next to me or at least, be a friend that I can trust." I said with a smile.

" Keil, I don't need a dragon's oath. " I said

" I mean, if it's someone else other than me, they would be honor, but I don't want it, do you understand? " I said

" I'm sorry, but I will have to reject your oath Keil, I think someone might deserve it more than I do. " I said

" Your highness—" Keil

" If you're going to force me in accepting that, we won't be friends anymore. " I said as I crossed my arm.

"*sigh* Then, how about this your highness. " Keilbuss says with a smile on his face.

" I will try to observe you more and then I will see if you really deserve the oath or I might have been mistaken." Keilbuss says as I smiled.

" Deal. " I said with a smile

" Alright, you can get up now, your knees must have been hurt from kneeling for too long already. " I said

" Thank you, your highness. " Keilbuss says

" But, shouldn't you be off to bed now? It's already pass midnight. " Keilbuss says as I looked at the big clock inside my room and I looked at Keilbuss but he have already dissapeared, completely out from my sight.

" Well, I guess, I have to sleep now? " I said as then I went inside my bedroom and climbed on the bed.
