Someone Like You (Dixie D'Amelio)

Dixie's View

"The producer should be back soon." Micheal says.

I nod my head and the door opens. I see a girl with glasses and I widen my eyes.

"Y/n?" I ask.

She stares at me and slowly nods her head.

"You two know each other?" Micheal asks.

"We used to-" I say.

"Be friends. We used to be friends." Y/n says cutting me off.

"What happened?" Micheal asks.

"I moved." Y/n says.

I slowly nod my head and Micheal leaves.

"What are you doing here?" Y/n asks.

"I just signed with the label. You're supposed to be giving me a tour." I say.

"Let's just get this over with." She says.

"You got married?" I ask looking at the ring on her finger.

I heard that you're settled down

"Yeah." She says walking out of the room.

That you found a girl and you're married now

I slowly nod my head and follow her.

"I have to get something out of my desk." She says unlocking a door.

She opens the door and walks to the desk. I see a picture on her desk that had a women, and kid in it.

I heard that your dreams came true

"I want exactly 1 kid." Y/n says.

How can I tell her than I don't want kids?

Guess she gave you things I didn't give to you

"Three things, I'm not your friend, stay away from me as long as possible, and don't bring up our pass to anyone, we're old friends." She says closing the draws.

Why is she acting like this? I know what I did was wrong, but it was 3 years ago.

Old friend, why are you so shy?

"Understand?" She asks.

"Y-Yeah." I say.

"Good." She says walking out of the room.

Ain't like you to hold back or hide from the light

I sigh and follow her.

Time Skip

I knock on Y/n's door and she looks up.

"Am I bothering you?" I ask.

I hate to turn up out of the blue, uninvited

"Nope." Y/n says picking up her cup of coffee.

"I was hoping you could look at these lyrics." I say as drinks some of her coffee.

But I couldn't stay away, I couldn't fight it

Y/n puts her cup of coffee down and holds her hand out. I had the paper to her and she looks at them.

"These are pretty good, I'll talk to Garrett about them later." Y/n says.

"Thanks." I say.

The door opens and a woman with a baby comes in.

"Hi, baby." The woman says when Y/n stands up.

Y/n smiles and they kiss.

I had hoped you'd see my face
And that you'd be reminded that for me, it isn't over

"Dixie, this is my wife, Madison. Madison, this is Dixie, an old friend who now works here." Y/n says taking the baby from the women.

"Nice to meet you." Madison says shaking my hand.

"Likewise. Who's this?" I say.

"This is Parker, he's a little over a month old." Madison says.

"He looks just like you." I say looking at Y/n.

"Thank you." Y/n says.

"It was nice meeting you." I say.

Madison smiles and I leave.

Never mind, I'll find someone like you
I wish nothing but the best for you, too

I walk down the hall and go into the bathroom. I go into a stall and start to cry.

"Just don't forget me." I say.

"Don't forget me," I beg

"I'll remember you... as the girl that shattered my heart." Y/n says leaving.

"I'll remember," you said

She slams the door shut and I sigh.

"Sometimes it lasts in love, but sometimes it hurts instead."

I hear the bathroom door open and I wipe my tears.

"Sometimes it lasts in love, but sometimes it hurts instead."

Time Skip; Y/n's View

Madison squeezes my hand and groans loudly.

"You got this, you're almost there. We're going to get food after this and you're going to get some rest. You're gonna be fine." I say.

Madison nods her head and I kiss her forehead.

"Baby." Madison says snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Uh, sorry. What did you say?" I say.

"What are you thinking about?" Madison asks sitting in front of me.

"Time flies so fast." I say.

You know how the time flies

"It feels like just yesterday you found out you were pregnant. Now, we have a baby who's one month old, who poops every second of the day." I say.

Only yesterday was the time of our lives

"Seriously, I've never seen so many dirty diapers in my life." I say.

Madison laughs and I smile.

"We're young, you're 21 and I'm 20. Time flies faster for us. We're fortunate enough to have all these things, so I feel like time goes faster." She says.

We were born and raised in a summer haze

"Maybe. I don't know, I'm not a scientist." I say.

She smiles and I kiss her.

"Let me back in." I say.

I hate to turn up out of the blue, uninvited

"No." Dixie says.

"What does he have that I don't?" I ask.

But I couldn't stay away, I couldn't fight it

"Everything, Y/n. He has money, a good job, and he actually spends time with me." Dixie says.

I had hoped you'd see my face

"I can't spend time with you, because I'm working to try and get you nice things." I say.

"It's not enough, get out of my face." Dixie says.

And that you'd be reminded that for me, it isn't over

"Can I tell you something?" I ask.

Never mind

"Of course." Madison says.

"I'm really happy and grateful that I found someone like you." I say.

I'll find someone like you

Madison smiles and hugs me.

"I wish you the best, we're done." Dixie says.

I wish nothing but the best for you, too

"Ever since I had that heart attack, my doctor thinks I'm going to die before I turn 60. I don't want you to forget about me if I do." I say.

"Don't forget me," I beg

"You're gonna live longer than that, but I'll always remember you." Madison says.

"I'll remember," you said

I smile and she kisses me.

"Sometimes it lasts in love, but sometimes it hurts instead."

Time Skip

The door opens and Dixie comes in.

"Yes?" I whisper as I gently rub Parker's back.

"I would like to transfer to the studio in San Diego." Dixie whispers putting her pass on my desk.

Nothing compares, no worries or cares

"Why?" I whisper.

"I don't feel comfortable working the in same environment as you. I really hurt you and I don't want to potentially ruin your relationship with Madison." Dixie whispers.

Regrets and mistakes, they're memories made

"Are you sure?" I whisper.

"Yes." She whispers.

"Okay, I'll work on it and they'll call you when it's complete." I whisper.

"Thank you." She whispers.

I nod my head and she opens the door.

"I'm happy for you." She whispers.

Who would have known how bittersweet this would taste?

She quietly shuts the door and I sigh.

I open a new tab on my laptop and the door opens again. Madison comes in and kisses my forehead.

Never mind,

"How long had he been sleeping?" Madison whispers.

"Since I fed him, so about 20 minutes. He almost woke up, so I just rubbed his back a little." I whisper.

"Thank you so much for watching him." Madison whispers as she carefully takes him from me.

"Anything for you." I whisper.

I'll find someone like you

She smiles and I kiss her.

"I know Dixie is my sister, but you're better without her." Charli says.

I wish nothing but the best for you

"Move to California and do what you wanna do." Charli says.

"Thanks. Will you remember me when I'm gone? Will you miss me?" I say.

"Don't forget me," I beg

"Of course, you're like my sister." Charli says.

"I'll remember," you said

I smile and she hugs me.

"Just remember that, sometimes it lasts in love, but sometimes it hurts instead." She says.

"Sometimes it lasts in love, but sometimes it hurts instead."

"I may not be say it a lot, but you mean the world to me and I am so lucky to call you my wife." I whisper.

Never mind, I'll find someone like you

"You'll find someone." Charli says over the phone.

I wish nothing but the best for you, too

"Aww, baby." Madison whispers.

"Don't forget me," I beg

"I love you." Madison whispers.

"I'll remember," you said

"I love you too." I whisper.

"Sometimes it lasts in love, but sometimes it hurts instead."

She kisses me and I smile.

"Sometimes it lasts in love, but sometimes it hurts instead."
