as the credits rolled in a feeling of worry washed over me. it was visible on my face and gene seemed to notice this.

"relax, it's not like you're going to die." he muttered.

"gene! these are my friends and i've only known them for three days and yet ive still seemed to ruin my relationship with them." i replied.

"okay, okay! but chill." he said. "anyways, how did you like the movie."

"it was...interesting." i told him.

he smirked and then zenix hit his arm. "gene, we gotta go!"

"fine, fine!" he grumbled. "talk to you later princess." he got up and started walking away.

"wait, you can't leave me now-" i started.

"too bad!" he cut me off.

"that damn boy." i murmured. i got up and left the room. outside, aphmau was waiting for me. "aphmau?"

"caroline, we need to talk." she said.

"obviously." i replied. "look, i'm sorry, but gene is my friend. i know you don't like him, but i do. and it's not like i'm going to force you to hang out with us."

she sighed. "okay. fine. but be careful. he's not exactly the safest person to be around."

"good." i smirked. "danger is fun."

she rolled her eyes. "c'mon, the girls are waiting outside."

i sighed with relief. "so you forgive me?"

i laughed. "well obviously. so, how'd you like the movie?"

the uber arrived and we all got in. 5 minutes into the car ride, i got a ding on my phone.

i rolled my eyes and told him the address and that there's a gate in the front of the neighborhood.

~time skip~

we finally got to my dad's house and we just hung out in the living room eating cheeto puffs and sipping our arizona green teas until their parents came and picked them up and i could finally go to sleep. i wasn't even tired, i just like sleeping.

as each of my friends left one by one, i gave them massive hugs, to make up as not watching the movie with them and ditching them for bad boy gene.

when they all left i finally went upstairs, told my dad goodnight and that gene, zenix, and sasha were coming over, and went to my room to brush my teeth, take off my makeup, and get into my pjs. i laid on my bed and played on my phone for a bit before actually going to bed.
