After the school day. We went back to our room and I laid on the bed while Emma and Chelsea chat while sitting on Emma's bed. "Come on Cardia, why are you sitting there all alone. Come on. If we share our deepest things with each other, we'll get even closer. Starting with Emma" Chelsea said and pointed at Emmaleigh who groaned. "Fine" she said. I left my bed and went to their. I still had my glasses on and my hair in a bun.

"My dad is a musician and mom's a politician, you know polar opposites" Emmaleigh said and groaned, "it's so annoying that with the fame and money, my home isn't that exciting to be in" she continued. "I actually don't want to do music but Dad insists, you know how celebrities gain more attention especially if their kids are walking in their steps. Mom on the other had, I feel like she hates me because I'm so fat" she said and looked down.

"I told you already Emma, you're not fat. You're perfectly chubby and you're beautiful" Chelsea hugged Emma. I felt touched by their friendship, "I think you're perfect too" I said and Emma smiled. "Thanks guys, I think Dy and Dan don't hang with me anymore because of my size difference. Who cares anyways" Emma said and hugged me and Chelsea.

"What about you Cardia, tell us about yourself" Emma said and nudged me with her elbow. "I... I have a social disorder, I'm terrible with social things and get panic attacks when I can't handle it" I said and they went awww, "Don't worry we'll protect you" Emma said. "What about your family?" Chelsea asked.

"I only have my grandparents and my aunt. Mama died almost a year ago" I said and my voice trailed off as I felt my throat closing up. "I'm so sorry..." Rubbed my back and I took off my glasses to wipe tears. "She was everything to me. I'm all she had too. She...she died trying to give me a good life. She was a good person and... I really miss her" I didn't know how or why the words came rushing out of my mouth that way but I couldn't stop it.

"What about your dad Cardia?" Chelsea asked and I sighed, "that's one of the reasons I came here in the first place. I came looking for him" I said while putting my glasses on again. "Do you have his address?, maybe we can help you" Emma said and Chelsea agreed with a nod. "Yeah, my dad works with the police so he knows a lot of people" Chelsea said. "I've never met him before" I said, causing both girls to pause and look at me in shock.

"Mama was seventeen when I was born. He had disappeared even before Mama could tell him that she was pregnant" I explained and looked away shyly. Mama had faced a lot of condemnation whenever we went out and people found out that we were mother and daughter. I felt like they would condemn too.

"So young yet she raised someone as awesome as you? Your mom's a rockstar" Chelsea said making me smile. "We can't bring back your mom but we can help with your Dad. Where do we start from?" Emma asked and stood up to pick up a notebook.

I got up to bring out Mama's diary from my bag and opened it. "His name is Alexander Sterling" I said and both girls looked at each other. "Alexander Sterling?" Emma asked and gave me a look over. "Oh my gosh Em, I see it!. She look just like him" Chelsea said and bounced on the bed.

"You know him?" I asked excitedly. "Yeah, who doesn't? He owns the best hotel ever" Chelsea said and sighed. "I can't believe I had a crush on him" Chelsea face palmed herself. "you can totally go see him" Emma said, "really? Do I have to go to the hotel?" I asked, imagining how I would literally faint if I see a crowd.

"I can help you get the address from my dad" Chelsea suggested, "so when will you go?" Emma asked and I felt the confidence I had slipping away. "I-I don't know, I didn't actually think it through...oh my gosh, what am I even doing?" I asked myself. "It's okay, we have got you covered up. You can go on a friday and spend the day with him" Chelsea said and I nodded. "You've got this Cardi" Emma said to cheer me up. "I've got this" I told myself.
