"Arise and shine" Jade sang from the door and switched on the light in my still dark room. I felt around for my glasses and put it on. "Good morning love, I'm sorry I had to wake you up this early but you know you've got to get to your own dorm and settle in before proper school activities starts right?" She asked and I grunted like a cave woman in response.

"Be down in twenty minutes" she yelled like a coach, "so loud" I mumbled and got off my bed, moving like a sloth. I got ready for school but got stuck at what to wear. I picked my favorite cropped block sweater and black high waist combat pants and white sneakers.

"How do I look?" I asked Jade as soon as I entered the kitchen, "Kick butt" she said and gave me breakfast in a plate. "You've got to eat really really quick, you know, like a wolf" she said and proceeded to show me how to do that but wolfing down her own food.

I finished my breakfast quickly and both of us left the house. She started to hum a song as she drove. "Steffany Gretzinger's letting go?" I asked and she smiled, "you know your music" she said. "Mama and I usually have concerts in our room during our free time" I said with a small smile on my lips.

"You know, your mom did great by encouraging you to pursue your music. When you were little, you'd always hum random non existing songs" Jade said and I laughed, "Actually I still do" I said.

I looked out the window and saw that we were getting closer to the school. "Nervous?" She asked and I hummed in response. "Don't worry, you can handle it. I know you're tough despite the sweetness you radiate" she said and used one hand to pinch my cheek. "Ow Jade" I rubbed my cheek.

"Want me to walk you in?" She asked and I was tempted to nod. The place was still quite with few students around. "I can manage" I said in a voice that sounded more like a squeak. "Hey don't go back into your shell. Remember whose daughter you are Cardia" she said and I nodded. "Natalia's daughter?" I asked and she laughed, "No silly, you are the daughter of the lion of the tribe of Judah. You don't hide, you roar!" She said and made a roaring noise causing attention to be drawn to as. "Please... just stop" I said while laughing. "I'm already free to pick your calls if you need anything, okay?" She asked and I nodded before hugging her.

She went to her car and waited till I had walked away from her a good distance before driving off. I walked to the dorm while checking the documents with me. I am more than grateful for Jade, she was the one who got everything down for me so that all I'd have to do is just show up and resume school.

I got to the room that was mine with two other girls and opened the door. When I opened the door I heard a loud thud. "What the..." A female voice called, "language Emma" another girl with a much calm voice said and the light came up. I saw the faces of the girls, one was on the floor, she was the one that fell down. The other girl was sitting on the bed with legs crossed.

"Hi I'm... Cardia" I said shyly, suddenly stuttering. The girl that had fallen stood up. She was chubby but had a pretty face that gave off an 'innocent' vibe. "You're our new roommate!. Welcome to the us girls room!" She said and flipped her strawberry blonde hair. "I'm Emmaleigh, call me Emma please" she said and curtsied, making me giggle.

"I'm Chelsea. Forgive the pink hair, I wanted to give my hair a pink stripe but had an accident" the calm girl jumped off the bed and hugged me. "I think your hair is great" I said and she smiled, "thanks!" She said brightly. "Rule number one, if we are really going to be living together, we have to be best friends" Chelsea said and I nodded. Knowing that Ashley and Tess will murder me for agreeing.

"Come on, drop your things" Emmaleigh said and I obeyed, I quickly scanned the room and took note of the pink clothing scattered everywhere. "Oopsie, those are mine" Chelsea said but made no move to pick them up. "Chelsea hasn't outgrown Barbie yet" Emmaleigh shook her head, "have you outgrown vampire diaries yet? Elena Gilbert" Chelsea said, saying the name sarcastically. Emmaleigh replied with a 'humph' and looked away

I knew immediately that I was going to really like the both of them. "I hear the bells!" Chelsea suddenly jumped, "assembly time" Emmaleigh stood up and went to the mirror to make sure she looks okay. "Is my hair out of place?" Chelsea asked me and I nodded almost instantly, her bangs were uneven, "perfect!" She squealed and rushed to the door. "I don't understand..." I started to talk but Emmaleigh pulled me, "less talking more running!"she said as we ran.
