Hoseok ♡ Disney Land

I asked you guys a while back which Disney Princess the reader should be for an imagine where you work at Disneyland (if you guys remember that oof) and everyone said Mulan so that's what I'm going with.

I sat at the makeup vanity waiting for the makeup artists to finish up. One of them applied lipstick to my lips as the other one fixed my hair making sure it was straight and perfect. Afterwards I changed into my dress, making sure everything looked okay.

I work at Disneyland as Mulan. It's quite the job, but very rewarding. I have to wear her ceremony makeup which is a hassle, but it's well worth it. It pays good and seeing the smiles on the children's faces only adds to the perks. It was somewhat difficult for me to get the job, I had to study up and was quizzed on my knowledge of the movie Mulan, that way I can answer questions and play along with the kids.

I leave the dressing room and go out into the park, walking around as I always do. The park was bustling with children and families. I've been working here for a few months and have yet to get tired of it.

"Mommy look it's Mulan!" I heard a girl shout.
I stop and turn around seeing a girl exciting pointing at me, pulling her mom in my direction.
"Slow down sweetheart." Her mom said.

I chuckled lightly, crouching down on the ground as the little girl approached me.

"Mulan it's really you!"
"Yes it is! What's your name?"
"Hyeon."
"Hyeon. What a pretty name."
"I wanna fight bad guys like you!" Hyeon said jumping up and down. "Do you think I can?"
"Of course you can! You just have to be brave and if anyone tries to bring you down, you just keep smiling."
The little girl gasped, a big smile taking over her face.
"Wow. Thank you!"
"Could I get a picture of you two?" Hyeon's mom asked.
"Sure!"

Hyeon hugged onto me tightly as her mom snapped the photo. The little girl waved goodbye as her and her mom walked off.

I stood up and continued to make my way around the park, taking photos and talking with the kids.

"Hobi! Hobi! There she is!"

I heard a little girl shout. I look in the distance and see a young guy and a little girl. The girl was excitedly jumping and pointing at me as they walked closer.
I smile and head towards them.

"Mulan!"
"Hello." I crouch down on the ground. "What's your name?"
"Younghee." She grins. "And that's my uncle Hobi!" She points.
I stand up, finally able to get a better look at the guy that was walking with her. He's got light brown hair with blonde highlights. His hair is grown out a little. He's wearing a huge oversized white T-shirt tucked into some shorts. He had a cute little pouch hanging off one of the belt loops.
I feel my heart start to flutter as I take in his appearance.

He's so beautiful. His outfit is so cute. It's so simple yet perfect. He's like the human embodiment of the sun. Where have you been all my life?

"Hi." He grins brightly.
"H-Hi."

I mentally slap myself for being so awkward.

"My niece loves you." He says.
"Yeah? That's super cute."
"Mulan! Can we get a picture?" Younghee tugged on my dress.
I snapped back to reality and looked down at the excitable girl. "Of course!" I smile.
"Hobi get a picture of us!" The girl hands her tiny, pink disposable camera to her uncle.

I get down close to her height, she immediately latches onto me, hugging me tightly. I giggle and hug her back just as her uncle snaps the picture.

"That one is gonna be really cute." He grinned.
"Oh I can't wait to get them developed!" Younghee jumped up and down.
I stood and talked to her for a moment before they decided to leave.
"Bye Mulan!" Younghee waved as her and her uncle "Hobi" walked off.
I waved to them, feeling my heart sink knowing I'd probably never see that beautiful man ever again.

A couple days had passed and I was making my rounds as usual. I stopped when I heard a familiar voice. I see a small girl approaching me.

Is that... what was her name... Younghee?

"Mulan I'm back!" She grinned.
"Younghee! Hi."

Her uncle runs up looking exhausted.

"I'm sorry." He huffs trying to catch his breath. "She saw you and ran away from me."
"It's fine." I wave him off. "I didn't expect to see you guys again."
"She begged me to bring her back." He said. "I couldn't say no."
"Of course! How could you say no to this face?" I asked poking Younghee's cheek causing her to giggle.

The two showed up almost every day since. I wasn't sure why, but I figured I should take advantage of it and at least ask for that cute guy's name.

Like every other day, I saw Younghee running up to me, her uncle far behind her. I gave her a hug and we went to sit on a nearby bench.

"What's your real name?" She asked me.
"I'm Mulan."
"No." She giggled. "You only dress up as Mulan. What's your name?"
"Oh." I chuckled lightly, caught off guard by her statement. "I'm Y/n."
"I like that name." She grinned.

About that time, her uncle walked up.

"I have a secret to tell you." Younghee said acting quite suspicious.
"What is it?"
She leaned in close and held her hand up to her mouth before whispering.
"My uncle Hobi thinks you're pretty."

Since she's a little kid she didn't really whisper it and her uncle heard every word. His eyes widened, his cheeks immediately turning a deep shade of pink.

"Y-Younghee you're not supposed to say that!"
"Oops!" She giggled. "Sorry." Her gaze shifted somewhere in the distance "Look! It's Cinderella!" She hopped off the bench and ran towards the princess leaving her uncle and I alone.
"I'm so sorry." He said. "I didn't think anything of it when I said it. I wasn't expecting her to tell you."
"It's fine." I said standing up. I tried to act as calmly as I could but on the inside I was freaking out.
"I'm so embarrassed." He chuckled awkwardly. "But it wasn't a lie."
"You haven't even seen me without all this makeup on." I said.
"I'm sure you're even prettier without it."
I looked away feeling myself blush.
"What's your name?" He asked.
"Y/n. What's yours? I'm assuming it's not Hobi."
"No." He shook his head and laughed. "My name is Hoseok. Hobi is just a nickname."
"It's nice to meet you."
"You too." He pauses for a moment. "Are you busy tonight?"
"No. Why?"
"Do you want to go out with me?"
"Sure. Where at?"
"A local restaurant I like to eat at. It's nothing fancy but the food is amazing."
"That sounds great."

Hoseok pulled his phone out tapping the screen.

"Here." He handed it to me. "You can put your number in and I'll text you later."
"Okay." I grinned taking the phone and putting in my contact information.
About the time I handed his phone back, Younghee ran back up to us.
"Cinderella was so nice." She said. She gasped as if she just remembered something. "Hobi! Did you know Mulan's real name is
Y/n?"
"I did." He chuckled.
"You did?"
"She just told me."
"Are you and uncle Hobi gonna date?" She asked, her eyes sparkling.
"Younghee!" Hoseok said.
I laughed it off.
"I think we should go." Hoseok told me, embarrassment clear on his face. "I'll text you later."
"I look forward to it." I grinned.

I waved at them as they walked off.

Later that evening I got off work. I removed the heavy Mulan makeup and changed into my own clothes before heading home. As soon as I stepped in the door, my phone buzzed.
I pulled it out of my pocket and looked at the screen.

Unknown: Guess who ☀️

A smile makes its way onto my face.

You: Hmmmm could it be a certain cutie I gave my number to today?

Unknown: Am I cute? 🥺

You: Yes you're cute

I quickly put him in my contacts.

Hoseok: I'm gonna pick you up at your place for our date. Can you send me your address?

You: Here it is :)
You: What time are you gonna be here?

Hoseok: Is 7:00 okay?

I glance at the clock. It's 5:45.

You: 7:00 will be great

Hoseok: Okay! I can't wait to see you 🥺

7:00 rolls around quicker than I expected. I'm dressed in some decent clothes. Hoseok said the restaurant wasn't too fancy so I just put on some jeans and a nice sweater with a necklace and a small, simple ring to make my outfit look a little more put together.

There was a knock on my door making me jump. I grabbed my bag and went to answer the door. Hoseok stood there looking super cute in jeans and a light brown, baggy hoodie. He wore a brown beanie that matched his outfit, his little ears sticking out from underneath the hat.

"You look really cute." I said aloud, not meaning to.
"Oh." He blushed at my sudden compliment. "Thank you. You look cute too."
"I wasn't sure what to wear. You said the restaurant wasn't too fancy so I went with casual clothes."
"What you're wearing is perfect. You look beautiful."
"I do?"
He nodded, a bright smile on his face.
"Let's get out of here." He said holding his hand out.

He led me out to his car opening the door for me like a gentleman. Hoseok walked around to the other side and got into the driver's seat. I noticed a small picture of a dog hanging from his rear view mirror along with a Kaikai Kiki flower keychain.

(This is what I'm talking about)

"That's cute." I commented, pointing at the cute accessories. "Is this your dog?"
"Yeah that's Mickey." He said cheerfully.
"He's adorable."
"He is." He smiled. An overjoyed expression on his face.

Hoseok pulled out of my driveway and onto the street, driving towards the restaurant.

"How did you end up working at Disneyland?"
"Well, I grew up watching Disney movies and I've always enjoyed them. I love making people happy, especially kids. Working at Disneyland has always been a dream for me."
"I like that." He grins.
"What about you? What do you do?"
"I make hip hop music."
"You do?" I asked.
"Yeah. I also rap a little, I'm not good at it though."
"I don't believe that at all." I said crossing my arms. "Prove it."
"Okay. I'm a little shy though. Get my phone and play one of the songs on my hip hop playlist."
I did as he said and chose one of the songs. Heavy beats with lots of bass started bumping through the car speakers. Hoseok cleared his throat and started rapping along. He radiated confidence as he hit every verse perfectly. His voice had changed drastically, getting low and gravelly. It was hot.
The whole time he kept his eyes on the road and was focused on driving, but the passion in his voice and facial expressions made me think he was performing on stage rather than driving.
The song ended and Hoseok was breathing heavily, his shoulders moving up and down.

"How was it?" He asked breathlessly.
"I-"
He looked over at me, his eyes wide with worry.
"Are you okay?"
"That was incredible. I've never heard anything like it."
"I'm not that good, but thank you."
"You are! That was amazing."

We arrived at the restaurant and got seated.
I opened the menu and started scanning over all the dishes they served there.

"Order whatever you'd like." Hoseok said.
"It all looks good. I'm not sure what to order."
"I like everything here so it's all good."
"Hmm. Alright."

Our waiter came back to take our orders. I ended up ordering the japchae. (Stir-fried noodles)

We talked about things we enjoyed doing and shared funny stories of our childhood. The more time I spent with Hoseok the more I seemed to fall for him. He's a big ball of sunshine who loves making people happy. I found myself staring at him as he spoke, taking in his features. His cheerful eyes, his flawless skin, his beautiful lips, his sharp features.

"What is it?"
"I was just..." I trailed off, not sure if I wanted to give myself away. "I was looking at you."
"Why?" He asked, getting flustered.
"Because you're handsome."
"Ah." He chuckled shyly. His ears turning slightly pink. "Thank you."
"Here you go." Our waiter approached our table with two dishes.
"Thank you." Hoseok and I both said.
"Alright!" I grinned. "Let's eat."

The two of us became quiet, as we were too busy stuffing our faces.

"This is really nice Hoseok. Thank you for taking me here." I said taking a sip of water.
"Oh it was nothing. Thank you for agreeing to come with me. I've had a lot of fun so far."

We finished our food and Hoseok kindly paid for the meal. He drove me home and we continued to talk and laugh. He pulled into the driveway and parked, getting out and opening the car door for me. He took my hand and walked me to the front door.

"I had a lot of fun tonight Hoseok." I smiled.
"Me too. I hope we can do it again sometime."
He leaned in giving me a quick, gentle kiss on the lips leaving me in shock.
"I'll text you tomorrow." He grinned walking back to his car.
