Itachi's pov.

I wake early before the sun rises and quickly prepare myself for the day. By the time I open my bedroom door, Mamoru-nii is leaning on the wooden pillar. "Ah. nii-san" I bow at him as greeting. "Come on we're going to be late" he flash a smile and walk ahead.

Running at his pace is really a challenge for me. For about 10 mins later, we arrive at the hideout entrance. "Are you ready?" his smile dropped into a flat line that void of any emotion. "Yes nii-san" I softly catch my breath and walk behind him.

Kakashi's pov.

"Hey senpai, have you heard that a new Uchiha is joining our squad?" tenzo ask me while we both are changing inside the changing room. "Yes I do. Why?" "Have you also heard that the Uchiha is so young?" I close my locker and fix my ninja boots, "Yes. But I'm pretty sure that I know someone even younger to joing the Anbu black ops."

We both enter the training ground where our squad uses everyday. "Captain" chorus the other members. "Is it true that a young Uchiha is going to join our squad?" ask rat, a 20-year-old guy in the group that has been working in the group for 1 year now. "Yes that's right" I answer. 

"Even if the newbie is from a strong clan, but he's probably still a kid. And the Anbu Black Ops suppose to be the strongest jounin of the village. How could the hokage place a little kid into our squad?? ... " and his rant goes on and on and on.

"Hey, we need to test him the moment he arrive here than" said the very same person who started his ranting earlier. Ushered of 'yeah' and 'agree' are followed with their 'plans'. "Shh. He's here." every other member start to act as natural as possible when his silluette is still far away from the group's meeting point.

"Senpai, why won't you do something?" plead yamato. "He could die before he even st-" I raise my hand and interupt him. "Let's just sit back and watch" I pat his shoulder and lean on the huge rock behind me.

Within 3 km of reach, the other members start to throw their sharp weapons with accuracy towards the little boy. But the thing that makes me wonder is that... he dodged them all without breaking any sweat.

"Good morning. My Anbu code is Cat. Nice to know you all" he bow and dodge yet another weapon. "Stop it. He's our new comrade" scold Tenzou. Everybody went silent as all eye are on the new masked member.

For me,

I'll walk beside him to catch him when he's falling.

"So, since everyone is here, let's introduce ourself. I'll start. My name is Kakashi Hatake, I'm the captain of this squad and my code name is Wolf. Next,"

In the reality,

Only one person who could walk down that path.

"Captain? Are you okay senpai?" Tenzo's call snap me out of my thoughts. "Alright then. Let's do the usual drill. Tenzo, you could explain some positions and other basics to the new comrade. Now, Go."
