"You did well today," praised Elder Kai.

"That was a heavier bit of history for him than I realised... I was careless." said Chronoa, feeling guilty about Trunks.

"But I didn't think he'd take off like that. If he'd actually gone through with the whole thing... Well, it would be one more mess to clean up. And that'd be even more difficult. I'm glad you were there. Thank you." Chronoa thanked Ace for his assistance.

Ace nodded. Elder Kai then offered himself to watch over the timelines.

"I think Trunks could really use a break after this one. I'll keep an eye on the scrolls for a little while."

"Where's Kai, though? I thought that he was with you?" asked Elder Kai, confused.

Their conversation stopped when they heard a voice coming from the stairs.

"I went to go and see Nii-san. He's still feeling bad about his actions." Kai arrived at the Time Vault and replied.

"I see... Anyway, how's your watch? Have you got it fixed yet?" Kai showed his mother the watch.

"Good as new." He smiled cheerfully.

He then looked at Ace and said, "Hey, you're Ace, right? I heard the story about you taking down Cooler yourself, huh? That's really impressive!" and showed a thumbs up at him.

Ace blushed in embarrassment. He put his hand behind his head, saying, "Thanks!".

"Alright, Ace. You can rest up now. Thanks for your hard work again." Ace bowed to the Supreme Kai of Time and headed off to Conton City.

"Kai, let's head back home. I'll gonna make you a dinner!" said Chronoa excitedly.

"Can't wait. Let's go!" Kai and his mother went back home too.

"How the heck can that boy handle her cooking?" muttered Elder Kai.

Why did he say that? Well, because Chronoa is a notoriously horrible cook, as there are so many records that she was the cause of food poisoning among the Time Patrollers that had tasted her food. Even Shallot and Trunks.

-Kai's Home-

"Fuhh, that's sure hit the spot." Kai was full after stuffing himself with food.

"How does your watch get damaged, actually? You've never told me yet." asked Chronoa.

"Oh yeah, after my battle with Turles, I noticed that it has some scratches on it but doesn't care about them too much. Until...." Kai stopped mid-sentence. This makes Chronoa curious.

"Until what?" Kai gulped nervously. He had forgotten to tell his mother about his current situation.

"Do you know Ai Hoshino, the famous idol from my world?" Chronoa nodded. She knew about her through her son, who, of course, is a huge fan.

Kai continued, "She sorta saw me de-transformed from Super Saiyan state..." Kai immediately felt a sudden chill on his back.

Chronoa, not wasting a moment, pinched Kai on his arm, receiving a cry of pain from him. "Why you'd tell me earlier?!" she shouted angrily.

"Ou-ouch! Ouch! Ouch! I forgot about it!! Ouch!!!!" The pain increased, making Kai shriek in pain even more until Chronoa stopped.

"Grrrr, how did you not sense her Ki? You're too careless. I already told you that your cover was going to be blown off someday. Huh..." sighed Chronoa worriedly.

"Don't worry, Mom. She already made a promise not to tell anyone." he assured Chronoa.

Chronoa asked Kai when he would be going back to his world again.

Kai let out a smile and answered back, "After I visit her tomorrow."

"He's going to visit Ruby..." Chronoa knew instantly what he was talking about. She told him to wash the dishes. This earned a grumble from Kai.

-Time Nest-

"Have you packed everything?" asked Chronoa.

Kai nodded in response. On Kai's head, Toki-toki was perching.

"Kiee!!" Toki-toki shrieked when Chronoa took him from Kai's head.

"Thanks, Mum. I'll be going now." Kai waved at her and Toki-toki. He was holding a blue time scroll, which was slightly different from his world's time scroll.

"Bye!" said Chronoa as she waved back. Kai's body was covered in a bright light until it dissipated, leaving no sign of him behind.

-Remnant, RWBY's World-

Kai is the saviour of the planet, having sealed The Witch, Salem, in a sword that remarkably similar to the Z-Sword during the Buu Saga.

After the God of Destruction, Beerus and his attendant, Whis, tested Kai, Trunks, and Shallot in combat. Kai asked for a favour from Beerus in exchange for a limited edition pudding. Beerus signalled to Whis as he created the sword, the sealing technique of the gods. Kai knew about the sealing technique after Elder Kai told him about Beerus and Whis. He used the sword to trap Salem, and he stabbed the sword in the Land of Darkness. The Queen of the Grimm will be trapped there forever.

-Patch, Remnant-

It has been a while since he last visited here. The Sun is low in the sky, indicating that it's going to be evening soon.

Kai was standing in front of a gravestone at the edge of a cliff near a forest. He was holding a bouquet of roses. He kneeled before the gravestone, putting the bouquet of flowers in front of it.

The gravestone is engraved with Ruby Rose's emblem along with the words,

"Ruby Rose / A Rose Picked Before It Blossomed".

There is also another gravestone, with Summer Rose, Ruby's biological mother's name, engraved on it with a similar emblem.

"Hey, Rubes... I'm sorry for not having visited in a while. " He spoke idly to Ruby, imagining that she was in front of him. He told about recent events in his life, even mentioning Ai and his work as an actor.

"You know, who would have thought that I was gonna be an actor... Kinda weird, isn't it?" chuckled Kai.

"I'm not sure about my current path, maybe I'll become a huntsman again? Nonetheless, I'm going to make everyone smile, like you do. That's why I accept being an actor..." Kai expressed his feelings.

"Remember we used to listen to B-Komachi songs I brought from my world? I have meet my favourite idol. She's now my neighbour. But she already had kids. Ai-san has twins, a boy named Aqua and a girl named Ruby. Just like your name. Her personality resembles yours; she also has the same smile as Ai-san..... And you too....." Kai had a flashback to the fateful day. A small tear dropped to the ground, remembering Ruby's last smile. A smile he couldn't protect.

He hugged his knees, crying while saying, "For-forgive me for being wea-weak... If-if only I wa-was stronger back then... If on-only... That time..." He clenched his hands until his hands were bleeding. He was on the verge of turning into a Super Saiyan, but he quickly calmed down.

"Why.... why.... why didn't you left me to die that time.... Why did you try to help?" *Cried in silent*

-Flashback-

"Kai... protecting people who couldn't protect themselves, fought for what was right. I'm gonna become just like the heroes in the books!" Ruby said so with enthusiasm.

"Then I'm gonna become a warrior who will stand up for the heroes," replied Kai, grinning at her.

He bit his lower lips. He began to sing a song that he used to sing to Ruby.

He felt a sudden warmth on his body, as if someone was hugging him from behind. He turned around but saw no one there. He smiled and wiped his tears, standing as red rose petals scattered in the wind.

He was going to visit Taiyang, Ruby's father, before heading back to his world.

I'm back for another week! I have finished my exam, so now I can relax a little bit and continue this fanfic.

I used the Ultraman Dyna ending song's sad version; I've been hearing this since I was 7 years old. Such a nostalgic song.
