'Sorry!', she said as she bumped into someone else on her way to class. She was trying to catch up with her class after taking a detour to the restroom after their fine art class.

The teacher Mr Collins was a very mean man but was a good teacher. Today as they learnt about perspective he drew the fruit set on the table fro different angles showing the various ways one thing can be represented. Then he went ahead and asked them to draw what they saw from what ever angle they were sitting at.

Her drawing looked like a mad science experiment that escaped from the lab and Mr. Collins didn't fail to let her know. Of course she didn't take offense, she had two eyes and saw the disaster that she drew.

He watched her as she brisk walked to meet up with her class.

He saw her before she bumped into him but he maintained his pace. The little thing could be very entertaining. Her height he found totally adorable, she barely reached his chest. And from watching her he found her to be in a word, a good girl.

The kind that he avoided.

She was bashful, weary even with strangers but very talkative when with familiar people. Well he had two more years to ravel the mystery that was Esther Onu. He didn't know why but he felt drawn to her, something that wouldn't bode well for her in the long run.

But he had never cared for another human being's comfort except his so why start now.

Arriving at his class, he noticed that the teacher was already in it and the class had started. Vice Principal Okoro would skin him, but he had to at least try.

'Come inside already, i don't have you people's time today', Mr Okoro said without taking his eyes off the board. 'Last week we introduced annual crops and today we will take a look at some examples and their most favorable environments for growth'.

He couldn't wait for SS1 to be over so that he could chose subjects that he liked and do away with things like agricultural science. The only lively thing about the class was the days Mr Okoro was in a good mood, then they'd joke around as he taught.

'Please do your assignments, i'll ask for them whenever i feel like. You're joking with your thirty marks o, you pass you fail i still get paid. Have a nice day, class rep take our marker', as soon as he left the math teacher came in and the class perked up.

Miss Prudence was exceptional smart and also a tolerable teacher in his opinion. She moved at a pace that the class easily followed plus her dress sense was always spot on.

Most days the students, both boys and girls flirted with her and she'd respond with a kind smile saying 'thank you but you need Jesus'.

'Good afternoon Miss Prudence!', the class greeted as she walked to place her teaching materials on the nearest desk. her skinny jean molded her figure perfectly and Jackson pointed it out making her stare him down.

Guess she wasn't in the mood today.

'We'll continue from where we stopped last week after we grade homework. Class rep, collect and distribute it', Chioma stood up and did as she was told and assignments were collected, marked with the corrections on the board and collected again for cross checking and recording by Miss Prudence.

*******

'Queen Esther! Sir Comrade is calling you!', she stretched over the balcony to see who was calling her. There were three people in her class bearing Esther, so to differentiate them she was called Queen Esther, Esther Raymond was called Lady Esther. And Nwaka Esther was called Estelle.

'Okay!', she yelled back and the trip to the top floor.

After collecting her assignment book and seeing her score she was sad.At this rate she'd have A's only in her dreams.

'I can give you lessons if you're interested, or maybe get a senior to help you',

'Thank you sir, Snr Maluchukwu said he'd do lessons for us on Saturdays. He's our prep supervisor',

'Smart boy, he should be able to help. But if you're still having issues i can always help',

'Thank you sir', she tucked the assignment and to retrieve her schoolbag to go home.

She really needed extra help with her grades. The best she had ever gotten was C and she wanted to be above average.
