|12| The Bliss

Crimson red blood pooling around his body along with his unfazed face and unmoving self. Everything fell and everything became dark as he lied in the cold ground, covered in blood.

Tears continued to stream down your face as you saw him unmoving. Your calls were nothing but breeze passing through him, useless.

Aizawa was lying down, bleeding.

And two students were still there, in danger. The scene couldn't be much worse with your friends lying down on the ground, bloody and almost dying. The true heroes are already done and out... Hence, the villain chuckled and turned to the remaining students, Mineta and Asui and behind his mask made of a hand, he grinned creepily.

With a high, excited and giddy voice, he uttered, pointing the two students. "You're next."

Hands are tied, leg is injured, comrades are down, students in need...what can you do? With your hands tied, you can't do anything.

Nothing.

Once again, all of it was happening. You already lost your parents in the same way...it was hopeless; it was already too late. He can't be dead, can he? Midoriya is a strong person, and he would survive and fight this. After all, he was reckless person with a strong determination...

Ah...who am I kidding?

It was obvious that Midoriya was dying. He was bleeding too much—his injuries are fatal. You don't even know if he's still alive. You wanted to heal him, take him back, even if it takes everything...

He saved you in a way he can, risking his life just to protect you.

What can I do to save him?

You tried to move, using your uninjured leg to push yourself closer to him. Tears were long dry on your stained and flushed cheeks, sucking a shaky breath within your gritted teeth as pain in your leg and chest stung you.

It hurts to see you like this...why...?

As you moved closer, you looked at him and scanned his injuries.

There's a lot.

You desperately wiggle your wrist in any way to free yourself, turning to Midoriya as tears once again brimmed in your eyes. "I-I need to..." You even tried to turn your wrists in hope for the cloth to loosen and you were so desperate to the point that your hands already bleed in too much from forcing your hands to slip out of the cloth. It was no avail.

"Midoriya, I'm so sorry--" Then you bowed, resting your forehead in his chest as you sobbed, closing your eyes as hope faded into nothing but darkness within the sea of void.

"Then you go and heal him when he's hurt."

Your eyes shot open and head suddenly lifted when you heard it. A flame sparked within your soul as you soon reminded yourself with your grandmother's words that seemed to echo in your mind as a reminder of not giving up.

She was right. You were a healer. You had the ability to heal in order to save lives. You were given the power to be someone--to be a hero that saves others no matter what happens. And now that you are a hero, you need to play out your role and save him.

No matter what.

You lifted your head and took a deep breath, crawling closer to Midoriya. You looked down at his calm and peaceful face as your expression softened, a strand of hair falling to your cheeks.

You already decided.

I'm so sorry, Mama, Papa.

You leaned closer, closing your eyes as you let out a soft breath through your nose.

I'm going to break my promise to save this man.

"(Y/N)...Make a promise with us that you'll be a good hero to save other lives okay?" Your mom smiled as she held out her pinky finger. You beamed a huge grin and nodded, wrapping your little finger around yours.

"Promise!"

"Another promise (Y/N)..." Your dad said as he crouched to tap your head. "Only kiss a prince that will marry you in aisle okay? Don't give your kiss to a man if you're not married, okay?!" You giggled. "What kind of promise is that?!"

Your dad just gave you a worried smiled as he placed a palm on your cheek. "You have lips of an angel after all."

Without hesitation, you softly and gently captured his lips with yours, heat was rising up to your cheeks and stomach filled with butterflies, and heart thumping loudly against your chest.

His lips were cold but soft against yours.

Bring back that warmth.

You broke your promise. It was...of course, a childish promise but it seemed to cling to you for a long time. It was the last promise you made with them after all.

But even though you broke it, you have no regrets. No matter even if it's a memory in honor of your dad and mom...you're willing to let it go just to save him.

Don't let go.

As you your lips lingered on him, your own strength was slowly leaving you. There was a tingling sensation that sparked between you and Midoriya, you don't even know if it was just your quirk or just...the two of you.

When you felt that you've done enough, you pulled away, and your vision suddenly became blurry and you soon fainted, head landing on Midoriya's chest.

All Might saw all of this happened. With wide-eyes and shocked face, he saw all of this happened. In the middle of rescuing the two of the students, he saw it.

It happened again.

Midoriya gasped loudly, sitting up he coughed hands flying to his throat. He heaved short intakes of breaths, chest was raising and falling rapidly as if he lacked oxygen in his body.

Then he saw you, lying on his lap, unconscious but breathing.

"W-What happened?"

All Might swiftly scooped you and Midoriya up, taking you to a better place where you can exit safely. Then All Might placed Midoriya down and he let him carry you as he untied your bloodied hands.

"Young Midoriya, go on and take Seraph away. I'll handle this."

"But--"

He gave Midoriya a peace sign as he gave his usual grin and exclaimed. "It's fine!"

Midoriya had hesitations but when he looked down to you, he nodded and proceeded on carrying you.

All Might frowned as thoughts regarding you floated in his mind. When he told Asui and Mineta to carry Aizawa to the entrance, he saw you kissing Midoriya. At first, he was shocked, but he soon realized it...

She did it again.

His fist was clenched tightly, a sigh of relief escaped from his mouth.

She revived someone again...

Then he turned to the enemy, eyes were sharp and eyebrows were deeply furrowed.

Angel Hero huh...

Then he charged to fight.

Midoriya was conflicted. He was sure that he was injured after attacking Nomu. His legs were severely broken because of using his quirk, and he remembered Nomu smashing his head down.

But then now, he was completely fine. Not even a scratch.

He also remembered feeling that warmth--like fire seeping throughout his chest and the tingling sensation in his lips.

How?

As he recalled, your hands were tied back then and your quirk is activated using your hands, just like you said. But then...how?

Then his thoughts altered back to the enemy. Back to Nomu. He was the only one who knew that All Might had a large injury and that he couldn't last long...

What was he going to do?

He had you within his arms, wounded and unconscious. He needed to take you away from the chaos back there, but he needed to help All Might.

He gritted his teeth and ran for it, going towards the entrance to take you there.

He needed to make sure you were safe first.

As he arrived, he saw Uraraka along with the others there, carrying Aizawa. He ran towards and Uraraka saw the both of you. "Deku-kun! Is that—"

Midoriya nodded. "Take care of (Y/N)-san for me please." Uraraka nodded and she called for Shouji who took you from Midoriya's arms.

When your warmth left Midoriya, he outstretched his palm and held your cheeks, eyebrows furrowed in a deep frown and lips were curled in a small smile. "I promise, I'll come back, (Y/N)-san."

Then he dashed off, leaving others to go back to All Might. Uraraka let out a small squeal as she said to Shouji, "I ship it."

Shouji just chuckled. "He must like her a lot, don't you think?"

Uraraka grinned and looked at your slumbering face. "She must like him a lot too."

After the incident, the other heroes soon arrive along with the other heroes and rescued the students along with the wounded teachers. You were taken to a nearby hospital, same as Aizawa's and Thirteen, to recover because your grandmother can't heal you because you don't have enough stamina to have a fast recovery.

The sun was already down when Midoriya came out from the infirmary and he walked along with Iida and Uraraka to go home, but he had plans but he had hesitations on saying it. Iida noticed his nervous fiddling and uncomfortable shifting and he chuckled. "Do you want to say something, Midoriya?"

Midoriya pursed his lips and gripped the strap of his bag tighter as he said. "U-Um... I wanted to visit (Y/N)-san so if it's okay...you can go home first." Uraraka and Iida looked at each other with a smile and nodded to Midoriya.

"It's okay, Deku-kun!" Uraraka exclaimed. Iida gave him a thumbs up as he smiled. "You can go and visit her if you like. Tell her to have a good rest and we thank her for being a good teacher despite her age."

Midoriya smiled and nodded. "I'll do that. I'll see you tomorrow then!" Then he ran off to the hospital where the police had said you were confined.

As he arrived, he looked around and sighed as he rubbed his face with his hands. "I didn't think of this thoroughly. What if the visiting hours were over?" Then he sat on the chair on the waiting area, fiddling with the strap of his backpack.

"Eh, seaweed?"

He gasped silently, rapidly turning his head towards the direction of the familiar voice with his heart thumping loudly against his chest, cheeks were flushed into several shades of red. There, he saw you with a crutch and bandaged feet, wrists were covered in bandages too. He stood up and held out his hand to help you but hesitated as he lowered his hands to stop himself.

You were about to cry.

Seeing him okay and well was such a big relief as if a thorn was plucked out of your chest. But you just smiled to him and moved closer, chuckling as you said, "I...could use some help, you know?"

He beamed a smile as if he was glad to hear that, so he complied and held your arm to support you on walking. He squeezed your hand as he felt relief on finding your warmth once again, and to see that you were fine...it was something he will be always thankful for.

"(Y-Y/N)-san...where are we going?"

You looked at him blankly as if he was being ridiculous and then you burst into a fit of soft laughter. You turned to him and snorted, "I'm discharged from the hospital since I can pretty much move around...so I'm on my way home."

"E-Eh? Then is someone going to get you home? Like with a car or something...?"

You shook your head as the two of you continued to walk. "Nah...I was going to call my grandma so she can pick me up but..." You can't help but grin as you looked at him, settling the silence between you.

Midoriya noticed this as he frowned in a confused manner, tilting his head with a puzzled look. "But...?"

You shrugged as you averted your gaze away from him, cheeks slightly blushing, "It's nothing important."

But you're here now, Midoriya. So thank you.

"Ah, I remembered, (Y/N)-san..." He turned to you with his serious look, lips were pursed and eyes were gazing deep at you. "How...How did you heal me back then when your hands were tied?"
