Third POV

The seven brothers were in their room, in Avanti. The elders had gone, leaving them back here. Because they needed to learn a lot of things from the royal kids here.
One is the King and other his second- in- command.

Will they even have time for them?

The brothers had found respect as well as fascination towards the two friends. They were in awe with the way the two friends worked.

They flirted. Fought. Talked. Danced. They were practically the most ideal person the Princes had ever met in their lives. There was nothing at fault that the princes could find in the two.

"Ananya is beautiful, isn't she?" Nakul speaks up suddenly and six heads snap in his direction.

"WHAT!" the six princes all exclaimed at the same time.

"What?" Nakul questioned.

"Yo- You sa- said..." Arjun spluttered.

"Yes, I said that Ananya is beautiful."

"She is elder than all of us, give her respect." Yudhishthira intervenes. Nakul nods absent- minded. He was thinking about Ananya.

"I doubt she will stay with you." Sehdev snorted.

"Why won't she? I am handsomest guy." Nakul asks smugly.

Duryodhana speaks up before Sehdev can, "She likes Karn, don't you remember the other day?"

"You think that?" Nakul frowns.

"Of course." Duryodhana says in 'duh' tone.

"I will see." Nakul says, a determination in his voice as he gazes out of the window, staring at Ananya who was standing in the garden taking to Awasthi ji and some other ministers.

"Don't stare at her much, you know that she senses people, right?" Sehdev questions.

Nakul smirks, "That is what I want."

"Don't get so much tangled that you can't free yourself." Bheema comments.

When all of them turn to stare at him, he asks, "What?"

"You said something intelligent." Nakul says in awe.

"Do you want to get beaten up?" Bheema questions, walking towards him and cracking his fingers.

Nakul shrieks, "Bhrata Duryodhana save me." He hides behind the second big mace fighter.

"Call it off, Bheema." Yudhishthira intervenes. Bheema pouts but listens to his elder brother.

Nakul steps out from where he was hiding. "Thanks, Bhrata Duryodhana."
Patting Duryodhana, Nakul sits back on his place, swiftly.

Duryodhana had frozen all this while. He didn't know that Nakul trusted him as much that, Nakul turned to him when he felt threatened by his own older brother, Bheema. Even if it was harmless teasing.

He was confused, he didn't know what to feel, what to say. Were the Pandeva's really as bad as Mama Shree said?
No, they weren't. Duryodhana had spent time with them and he had learned that they were just a close- knit group. He also knew that they loved each other more than anything in the world and would do anything for one another.

Duryodhana and his brothers had a similar relationship but they weren't as powerful and close as the Pandeva's. Even though Dushassan wasn't the smartest of the guy, he and Vikarna were two of Duryodhana's brothers who knew Duryodhana inside- out.

They knew what Duryodhana desired, what he wanted in life, who alone he felt and things like. It wasn't only that, Dushassan's most secret were know by the other two and similar was the case for Vikarna.

Duryodhana was missing his other brother. He wondered if the two friends would mind having Vikarna over here too? Would they be annoyed? As already the seven of them were imposing here.

Thank god, Ashwatthama had his own kingdom to handle, or else he would have been here too.

"BHRATA DURYODHANA!" Dushassan nearly screamed to bring his elder brother out of his musings.

"What Dushassan?" Duryodhana asked calmly. "And why are you screaming."

The other princes couldn't help it then, they burst out laughing. Rolling his eyes, Dushassan speaks up, "Because I have been calling you since the last two minutes, and you didn't listen."

"Oh!" Duryodhana blushed. "I am sorry."

"It's alright." Dushassan waved it off. "We were asking whether you wanted to join, the Pandeva's they are going to train a little."

"Umm, no." Duryodhana shook his head.

"No problem, Duryodhana." Yudhishthira smiles at him, which Duryodhana returned, happily.

When the Pandeva's were gone, Duryodhana turned to Dushassan.

"I miss Vikarna!" Both of them say at the same time. And then smiled at one another sadly.

"Bhrata, I have a question."

"Ask it away."

"Are the Pandeva's really as bad as Mama shree said. All these days, spent with them, never once did they do anything bad. Is Mama Shree lying? And if he is lying why?" Dushassan said all at once.

Duryodhana sighed, "I don't know Dushassan. Truly." Duryodhana looked at his younger brother. "All these years I thought they were bad, evil. I mis- treated them. And now even after so much time has passed spending with them and they have not at all treated us badly."

"Exactly, Bhrata." Dushassan agreed. "Even the eldest Pandeva, treated as like his own brother, never growing angry on us."

"I don't what to say, Dush, really." Duryodhana groaned. "I just want to know why is Mama shree doing what he is doing. What is he planning?"

"This also so confusing." Dushassan falls back in his bed. Duryodhana hums in agreement.

"I wonder what should we do?" Duryodhana asks.

"Talk to mother?" Dushassan says, uncertainly.

"About what?"

"There must be a reason Mama shree is doing whatever he is doing, right? So, why don't we ask if mother knows about it?" Dushassan asks.

"Oh God! That is brilliant, Dush." Duryodhana exclaims, sitting up straighter.

"Let's write it now." Duryodhana takes out a piece of parchment and picks the feather to write.

*******

"What do you think those two are doing?" Arjun questions. It was quite clear that he was suspicious of the two.

"Arjun!" Yudhishthira scolds. "They are our cousins."

"Never acted like ones." He mumbles.

"I don't think they are doing anything wrong." Bheema states.

"Even after he poisoned you?" Arjun asks, incredulously.

"He had so many chances, he could have killed us. He didn't." Sehdev pitches in, shrugging his shoulders.

"I think it was all Shakuni Mama." Nakul agrees with his twin.

"I stayed with him Arjun, all day long. He isn't bad as people think." Bheema says softly. "Heck! If we would have been interacting since the start, me and him would have been buddies. We have practically the same taste, the same opinions, the dis- likes and same hobbies."

"I don't think he is planning to murder us or something. He had his chances he could have done that. Now, I am off. I want to ask what we are going to eat." Bheema tells Arjun. His voice showing the confidence he had. Nobody could say anything

"Wonder whether Duryodhana wants to eat something." Mumbling to himself, Bheema went off, looking for his cousin.
