1 weeks later

You're body jerked awake due to the loud sound of something falling. That was soon followed with Katsuki speaking.

"Shit"

"What was that?"You asked turning a bit to see where the noise came from

"Nothing important. I didn't mean to wake you up. Go back to sleep. I got the twins ready for school and I'll drop Katsuna off to the hag"He said sitting down on the bed

"Why are you bringing her there?"

"You've barely been getting sleep throughout the night then you have to wake up and take care of Katsuna. You're tired and you need to get a real rest"

"I'm not that tired I can watch her. You don't have to push her onto anyone else"

"Y/n you are that tired. Yesterday I came home and you immediately fell asleep when you saw me and knew someone was there to watch the kids. We didn't talk when I got home not even a hey. You literally fell asleep right on the couch where you were laying. So yes you are that tired and you're not watching her today. It also isn't pushing her onto anyone. The hag loves watching the kids"

You looked at him and sighed knowing he was right you just didn't want to be a burden to anyone.

"Go back to sleep"He repeated

"...Thank you"You mumbled closing your eyes

"Call me whenever you wake up. Love you"He said leaning to kiss your face before getting up

"Love you too"

You fell back asleep not too long after the door was closed. Over the next few hours you woke up a lot of times to either use the bathroom, eat, or because the twins were kicking you. Your sleep was very inconsistent but you always went back to sleep not wanting to wake up for the day. Then you were woken up by a phone call. You pat your hand around trying to find your phone and picked it up without looking at the contact.

"Hello?"You groggily asked and you felt yourself wanting to go back to sleep

"I was calling to see if you were alright. It's been 6 hours and I haven't gotten a call from you"

"Because I was still sleeping"

"So you're okay?"

"I'm fine"

"The twins have a doctors appointment and I can't bring them to it so I'll be calling to wake you up so you can bring them to it. Or calling to make sure you're up and getting ready to pick them up from school"

"Okay love you"

"Love you too"

You hung the phone up and went back to sleep. About an hour later you woke up for the day and started getting ready. Katsuki called as he said he would to make sure you were up. You talked for a bit before hanging up and leaving the house. You left early so you can pick up Katsuna from Mitsuki. Now you were at the school getting the kids.

"Ya-ya...ya-ya ya-ya"

"Yep it's Katsuya"You responded to Katsuna who was calling out to him after he opened the car door and she saw his face

"Hey Katsuna"He smiled at her causing her to laugh

"Awwe what about me Katsuna? I'm Mimi"Katsumi said getting in the car

"Mi-mi"

"That's right Mimi"

"Ma how much longer until the babies get here?"Katsuya asked

"Will they be here soon?"Katsumi added

"Not just yet. They still have a little longer. Just be patient they'll get here eventually"

You watched the twins buckle up then drove off heading home. You heard the twins entertaining Katsuna as usual and you played your music enjoying your ride. Midway through the ride you passed through a light and your heart dropped as you realized what was about to happen.

"KATSUYA"You screamed and immediately after your car was T-boned by someone who ran a red light

You hit your head and instantly blacked out. Thankfully Katsuya was paying attention and before the impact he moved quick enough to grab Katsumi and Katsuna and teleport out but you were still in the car.

He teleported to the side of the road and watched as your car flipped a few times before hitting a tree and stopping. The sound of the car alarm and Katsuna's cries were all the kids heard. It was the main things they were focusing on.

"Are you okay?"Someone asked rushing towards them and giving them a quick look over

"Our mom"Katsumi said ignoring the question instead looking at the car with tears welling in her eyes

"She's still in there with our little brothers in her stomach"Katsuya added

The stranger looked back at the car and screamed to the people going to help you.

"Be careful she's pregnant"They yelled before turning back to the kids and every single one of them were crying

"Will they be okay?"Katsuya asked

"Help is on the way. They'll do everything they can. Do know anyones number?"

"Yes my dad and grandma's"

Katsuki sat in his office figuring out what he was going to do with the new crime rising in the area. He was starting to get annoyed because his planning was constantly being interrupted by the noises from his phone. He didn't pay it any mind since he didn't hear the specific ringtone set for you. As he ignored another call his office phone rang. He answered and before he could get a word out his secretary spoke.

"You need to get to the hospital now. Y/n's there"

"What happened?"He hurriedly questioned immediately getting worried

"She got in a wreck. The kids are safe but everyone has been calling you because something is happening with Y/n and you need to get to the hospital"

Without a second thought he quickly made his way to the bottom of the building and to his car. It didn't take him very long to get to the hospital. He already knew what floor you were on thanks to texts from Mitsuki. When he made it to the floor he spotted Mitsuki with the kids. Somehow she managed to get all of them to sleep.

"They're fine, Katsuya got them all out the car in time. I'm not so sure about Y/n. She was brought in for an emergency surgery most likely a c-section. I haven't heard from them since"

"What room?"

"Katsuki you can't just walk into the room. They're preforming a surgery"

He let out a frustrated breath and looked around.

"My wife who is also carrying our twins just got in a wreck and is undergoing emergency surgery and you expect me to care about not going into the room?"

"It's not a matter of if you care or not son. You can't go in. You have no idea what they're doing to her right now. What if you burst in and make them fuck up.....Katsuki I understand you want to go in there. But you can't. Stay here with your kids and wait for news. That's all you can do right now"

"Do you think they'll survive?"

"I can't answer that. I don't know Y/n's condition and I don't know how the wreck affected the boys. They're also only 27 weeks so even without the wreck they'll still have some problems to overcome. Don't look at the worst if it though. Stop thinking about whether they'll die or not. Let's just sit and wait for the doctor. We'll go from there"

She sat down next to the kids and Katsuki reluctantly sat too. She watched as he bounced his leg and constantly moved. His nerves were obviously wearing thin. When the doors open he stood up very quickly.

"Are they okay?"He asked the two people who walked to him

"Are you Mr.Bakugo her husband?"

"Yes"

"I'm Dr.Suzuki a neurosurgeon or brain surgeon"

"And I'm Dr.Adachi an OBGYN"

"We had to perform an emergency c-section. It was the safest option for the twins and Mrs.Bakugo. She came in unconscious and we found she's experiencing subdural hematoma. Basically bleeding between the brain tissue and inside lining of her brain. It's applying pressure to her brain so we'll have to perform another emergency surgery"Dr.Suzuki explained

"The c-section went well and she hasn't lost too much blood and is stable at the moment. But she's being prepped for her next surgery. We're not sure how her body is going to take both surgeries but the surgeries have to happen. Your sons are being rushed to the NICU. There's of course some complication due to them being born 13 weeks early. They'll be put on oxygen and connected to a machine to help them breathe since their lungs aren't fully developed. They'll also be treated with surfactant to help strengthen the lungs. We'll feed them through a tube for now and move them to bottle feeding when they're ready"Dr.Adachi spoke

"When will we be able to see them?"Katsuki asked

"When Y/n is done with her surgery and we see if she's stable and handling both surgery well then you'll be able to visit"Dr.Suzuki answered

"And you'll be able to see your sons once they been connected to everything and when they're level are stable. It shouldn't take long"Dr.Adachi answered

"I have to go perform her surgery now before the pressure worsens. I just wanted to update you guys on the situation"Dr.Suzuki said leaving

"And I'll go see how the twins are doing. One of you can come and wait in the waiting room or you can come in a little while and ask if they're allowed visitors"

"We'll come in a bit"Mitsuki answered noticing Katsuki was barely paying attention

Dr.Adachi left too and Mitsuki walked in front of her son to be directly in his sight.

"Katsuki"She called and didn't get an answer "Katsuki"She repeated softly pushing his face up to make him look at her

"I can't do this"His said letting his tears fall. He wiped at them but they just wouldn't stop "I can't go home and take care of our kids as if nothing is happening. Y/n is going through hell right now and doesn't even know it and the boys are too weak. What if I lose them? I'm not ready to lose them. It's only been 7 years with her and it hasn't even been a day with them. I won't be able to explain that to the kids. I can't lose them ma"

Mitsuki couldn't help the tears that fell down her face. He was broken. He never called her any variation of mom yet here he was doing just that.

"You're not going to lose them Katsuki. They're doing everything they can to assist the twins and you of all people should know Y/n's going to fight to hold on. She won't leave her family that easily. You don't have to be ready to lose them. Take it one step at a time. You just got an update in the situation. Let's give them time to get better before going to them dying. I know it's hard to not think about it because it is a possibility. But it's also a possibility that everything will be okay. Let's just keep our head up for now. You can't be so pessimistic especially when you have the kids looking at your for comfort since Y/n isn't here in the moment. Everything that's meant to happen will happen. We just have to be patient and wait"

Mitsuki doubt that helped him at all. She was saying it to help herself too. She had no idea what would happen with any of you but she wasn't going to think the worst. Someone had to be kept in a decent headspace and it obviously wasn't going to be Katsuki.

I lowkey feel like I rushed this ending but at the same time I don't think it's absolute ass so I'm fine with that. I just finally got the idea for what I wanted to type and I refused to let that go away so I just tied whatever the hell came to mind. Hopefully it was good enough.
