Preparation Day

Miku POV.

Why is it so warm?

I'm just sleeping in the room with Ichika.  But why don't I want to leave?

Maybe it's because we haven't slept together in such a long time.  It's been so long since we've slept all together with five of us and with our mother.

*beep *beep *beep

What are these strange sounds?  Is that the sound of an alarm clock?

Looks like someone is waking me up.

I open my eyes and see a familiar ceiling.  This is my room.  How did I get here?

"Good morning, Miku."  a voice greeted me.

Turning around to the voice of a person, I noticed Kiyotaka in front of me?! What is he doing here?!

"Kiu?!..." I wanted to ask him about what happened last night, but he didn't let me continue talking.

How did everything turn out like this?  How did I end up in my room?

“Miku, do you remember how you ended up in your room?”

I looked around the place again, that is, my room.  Most likely last night I left Ichika's room to go to the toilet, but due to the fact that I was sleepy, I accidentally went into my room out of habit.  And most importantly...

Did I sleep with Kiyotaka?  If so then...

"It's clear."  Kiyotaka broke the silence in the room again and  his hand from me.

Kiyotaka got up from the bed and looked at me.

"Let's forget what happened this morning."  he said in a calm voice.

"Yes."  I nodded back at him.

Does he care what just happened?  It's a little embarrassing even.

Then he opened the door and examined what was behind it.  As soon as he finished looking outside the door, he returned to me.

"I have good news.  Your sisters are currently sleeping.  So you can carefully return to Ichika's room and continue your dream."

I listened to what he told me, but I doubt that I will be able to sleep normally after that.

After basically listening to him, I left my room and carefully moved back to Ichika's room.

As expected.  I can not sleep.

Ayanokouji POV

It was dangerous.

A second ago, Miku returned from her room to the next room that belonged to Ichika.

Sighing, I sat down on the sofa and began to continue to think about the plan that I started developing last night.

Of course this morning made itself felt.

It's good that I was the first to wake up from my alarm clock.  If Miku woke up faster than me, then there could be more problems.

Although, it's good that it was Miku.

If it was one of the other sisters, which is unlikely, then there would be much more problems on a large scale.

Having finished my thoughts in my head, I looked at the clock.

Time showed that 6 am would soon come.

I usually do my physical exercises at this time, and also prepare myself breakfast.  But since I slept at the quintuplets' house yesterday, I can't use the kitchen without their permission.

As a result: I left the house of quintuplets and went to inspect the nearest stores.

Of course, most of them were closed, but there were those who sold breakfast in the morning for those who do not have enough time to cook.

Well, you'll have to spend some money today.

After I bought my own food, I decided not to waste my time and headed back to the quintuplets' house.

I wish I could say that, but on the way back I went to another crosswalk and noticed a gym next to me.

After weighing the pros and cons, I went inside the building.

Inside the building, a member of staff greeted me and started explaining everything I needed to fill out.

"Excuse me, are you a student?"

"Yes."

It turned out that if you are a student, then you will be given a free trial period.

Then I headed to the locker room, fortunately there is a service to take sports things if you happen to be here for the first time.

I put on a sports uniform and went out into the room with exercise equipment.

I was a little embarrassed to be the only visitor, because I came here for the first time.

But I began to feel calmer after I looked at all the machines, because I was familiar with each of them.

In the White Room, we received the very equipment for our training, so I knew the approach to each simulator.  Although some of them were old, they could still perform their functions.

I thought that the gym would be empty for at least another hour, but after a couple of minutes the first visitors began to arrive, which made the atmosphere in the gym look more pleasant.

×××

For about an hour, I continued my training, and I also met new acquaintances whom I might meet in this gym.

After finishing training, I changed in the locker room and went to the reception to get a brochure for the official entry.

Of course, spending a few thousand yen every month is a pity, but sometimes I really need a load on my body.

I realized that going to the gym today reminded me that my physical condition had deteriorated.  The gym will be able to help me improve the current state, if not return everything to normal.

After leaving the building, I headed back to the quintuplets' mansion, now not distracted from my path.

On the way I was waiting for a passage that did not allow me to go further, but not today.

Usually I call them at the house so that they can open a passage for me, but due to the fact that I was at their house yesterday, I was able to borrow something there for a certain time.

I took out the key that Miku usually uses from my pocket and opened the door.

When I go back to their house, I will need to put Miku's key back in the place where I found it in her room.

Well, I'll hope there's no one in the living room right now.

"How did you get here?"  - met me a question coming from Nino.

At the moment, Nino was in the kitchen preparing food for herself and her sisters.  Therefore, it was not surprising to see them all at the same table.

I think if I hadn't taken care of Miku, then this morning at the table everyone ate without her.

"I opened the door with the key."

After my answer, I directed my gaze to Mika, calling for help with the answer.  Miku noticed my gaze on her and joined in our conversation.

"I lent him my key so he could go back to the house."  Miku said

"I see, so you're not hungry?"  Nino asked.

It wasn't that I was hungry, because after the workout I ate my purchased breakfast, so I wasn't as hungry.  But it would probably be rude of me to refuse the offer.

"Why not."

A couple of minutes after I sat down at the table, Nino finished preparing breakfast for everyone.  She laid out scrambled eggs and lettuce in front of each of us, after which she began pouring out drinks for each of us.

Nino poured drinks for her sisters, and then it was my turn.

"Tea or coffee?"  Nino asked.

This morning I had already worked out enough to cheer up, so I decided to give up coffee and opt for tea.

"Tea."  - I said.

"You didn't guess, it's coffee."  Nino said as she poured coffee into my mug.

So my answer didn't matter?  Well, I didn't expect anything else from Nino.

"Bon appetit."

We started breakfast.  As soon as we started eating, someone first decided to break the silence.

"I never thought I'd be able to see Ichika awake at sunrise."  Nino said.

"I have the lowest grades among us."  Ichika said.

I silently listened to their conversation while eating food, until Nino began to discuss me.

“By the way, how long did you decide to stay with us?”  Nino asked.

"Who knows?  It all depends on how you show yourself."  I gave an ambiguous answer.

"I think I can bear you a little longer."

I do not think that such words can be said to those who are visiting.

“Nino, you can still join us.  It's fun."  Ichika said.

"Yeah, right now."  Nino said with her tongue out, "Itsuki, I thought you were on my side."

“Actually… I decided to join them…” Itsuki said.

Hearing the words Itsuki said, I felt a sense of relief inside my body.

"Why did you decide to join us, Itsuki?"  I asked.

Of course, I could remain silent and silently enjoy the victory, but my curiosity got the better of me.

"Um, how can I explain this..." Itsuki pondered her thoughts for a bit in her head.  "I feel like you're supporting my academic efforts."

That was the answer Itsuki gave me.

Indeed, for all the time that Itsuki spent with us in the training sessions, she completed the tasks I set, but no more.

"I don't quite understand you, Itsuki."

“Ah, nothing.  It’s just that when I don’t understand something, I try to find the answer to it, and you help me find clues, so I can learn.”

"Now it is clear."

After a couple of minutes we finished with breakfast.

Realizing that I had nothing to do, I decided to return to Miku's room to return her key to its place.

"So, now me need to justify yourself to Miku."

Sighing again, I took a blank sheet of paper and a pencil from my pocket and wrote a letter for Miku on it.

Having finished the troublesome work, I put the letter on the table and put the pencil back in my pocket.

I wonder when Miku will return to his room?

Well, there is nothing to do.  Let's see what else is interesting in her room.

"What do we have here?"

I opened a locker inside the desk and found various books and textbooks on Japanese history.  In addition, next to these textbooks were video games with samurai on the cover.

If I remember correctly, Miku told me how she got hooked on history through games.

I was alone in the room for a while because of which, thanks to my curiosity, I discovered the world of video games.  If I remember correctly, this thing I'm holding in my hands is called a console.

"Ayanokouji, what are you doing right now?"

Unexpectedly behind me, I heard someone call me.  When I turned around, I saw Mika in front of me?  She looks rather strange.

Taking a closer look, I realized what was going on.

“Is this some kind of joke?  Did you want something, Itsuki?"

“So you still distinguish between us…”

I would like to say how she gave herself away, but I decided not to say it, because the next second Miku entered the room.

"See, I told you he could tell us apart."

Itsuki at this time began to put her hair in order.  I sat and looked at them sitting on the bed.  I still had Miku's console in my hands, so I hid it behind me so Itsuki wouldn't notice it in my hands.

"Yeah, like you said, okay then I'll go."

Itsuki finished her hair and left the room, leaving Miku and me alone.  Miku looked at me, after which I put the console on her desk.

“Miku, how do you like the idea of going to the library together?”

She thought for a moment and gave the following answer: “It would be nice to have a change of scenery.”

After hearing her answer, I left the room in search of the other sisters.  Two were just downstairs, they were Ichika and Nino.

“Would you like to go to the library to study a little?”

"Good idea."  – Ichika gave a positive answer.

Yotsuba, having heard my question, left her room and also gave an answer.

“I am also for this idea!”

Miku followed me and went to the very last room.

"I'll call Itsuki."

"Okay, let me know what she has to say."

Then, turning around with Miku, I went down the stairs, on my way Ichika climbed back to her room.  Probably to change into more appropriate clothes.  Going down to the first floor, I headed towards the kitchen, where Nino was, I sat opposite her.
"I'll wait for you outside."  - Yotsuba said this as she passed us on her way to the exit.

I followed Yotsuba with my eyes and pulled out my phone from my pocket.  Nino, who at that time was sitting buried in her phone, received a message with an attached photo.  Then she snorted in displeasure.

"Okay, I'll go to the library with you too.  Satisfied?"

"What a clever girl."

*Message content:

Ayanokouji: I'll delete that picture of you stalking me and in return you're coming to study with us.

We can say that these photos were useful in this case.  I can say that if Nino had not started studying right away, I would not have had to use this method.

In library.

I don't know if this can be considered a success, but now I still managed to get them all together for study.  I'm starting to feel a little relief inside of me, but most likely no one will see it.

"You look a little strange."

"Really?  Why did you decide Miku like that?

"When I told you that Itsuki was coming too, I saw the corners of your lips smile a little."

"Wait, did I smile?"

"He smiled?"

Since we are in the library, it is not surprising that absolute silence hovers here, where only the turning of pages of books and textbooks is heard.  Because of this atmosphere, everyone who sat at the same table could hear our whispers.  Looking at it from the outside, many were interested in eavesdropping on our conversation.

Ichika lifted herself up slightly and reached out with her hands towards me before touching my cheeks.  Her fingers began to lift the corners of my mouth.  Due to the fact that she was sitting opposite me, we looked very strange.

I tried to say something, but Ichika spoke instead.

"Miku, like this?"

"No, then they rose with him for a very short time.  Maybe it seemed to me?"

“When you think about it, this creepy guy hasn’t smiled in all this time.”

“Can you let go of my face already?”

At my words, the others laughed.  I decided to ask Ichika why they started laughing?

"What's so funny?"

"Sorry sorry, it's just when you say that, then when you still have my hands on it looks funny."

"Could you take your hands off me then?"

"Okay, let's enjoy the moment a little more."

Finally Ichika released me and I breathed a sigh of relief and we continued to study.

At one point, I noticed that Itsuki was thinking about something and I could not leave it unattended.  I got up from my seat and went to her seat, then leaned in front of her and asked.

"Something is not clear?"

"Um, nothing, everything's fine."

I looked at the objects around her, Itsuki looked down because of this, hiding her face from me.

“Don't try to solve a problem on your own if it may seem impossible.  Feel free to ask if there is something you don't understand."

"I understood."

"Where are you staying?"

"Biology."

“Okay, let’s continue from here.  What do you not understand here?

"This."  Itsuki said pointing with her index finger.

"It's clear."

After finishing one problem, Itsuki moved on to the next problem.

“…I don’t understand here.”  she said pointing to the next question.

It seems that after she asked for help for the first time, it became easier for her to ask me for advice.

“We have read this before.  Now I will explain."

Itsuki listened attentively to me and we continued to study like this until she could solve the last question on her own.

"You're doing very well."

Itsuki smiled.

After I finished with Itsuki, I went back to my seat, where I was met by the gaze of Miku, who was sitting to my left.  She was annoyed about something, so I asked her what was wrong.  In response, she pushed her notebook with completed questions towards me.  I checked the answers with my eyes and said that she did almost everything right, except for the last question.

“Almost everything is correct, except for the last task, can you find an error?”

"I will try."

Miku got to work while I read the books I borrowed from the library.  There is enough literature here to have some fun.  Well, I hope that in the future there will be many more books that I have not read.

"Hey, can you check me out?"  Nino said showing her notebook.

"You have errors in 3,5,6,10 answers."  – I said quickly looking at her answers.

Then, realizing that the others were probably now busy with their work, I continued to read the book.  However, after that I decided to help Nino with questions without asking her permission.

“By the way, why aren’t you preparing yourself?”  Nino asked.

“I may have said this before, but I can handle it.  So don't worry about me."

“Oh, I think I can handle it too, can I get out of here?”

“Looking at how you make more mistakes where it shouldn’t be, I start to doubt your words.”

"Crap."

We all studied for about two hours in the library during this time, I was able to help each of them where they did not understand or, so that they simply did not sit idle, I came up with new questions for them.  Oh, and I also read the book and returned it to its place, I really liked the story of that book.

We all started to pack our things and were about to leave, but Itsuki decided to stop me to give me her phone which had an incoming call from her father.  I took her phone and told them that if they wanted, they could wait for me.  As a result, they all, including Nino, said that they would wait for me until I finished the call.

Moving away from them at a certain distance, I picked up the phone.

"Heard you were studing elsewhere."

“As you can hear, my work is going well.  Can you tell me where you heard it from?

This morning I wrote a note to Mick and left it on the table.  There I wrote: I took your key without permission, I'm sorry.  I'll put it back when I get back, I promise.  P.s.  if it's not difficult, then inform your father that classes today will probably be in another place.  Where will?  I will inform you later.

“Why would any of my daughters have to say that to me?  Wait, I think I understand."

Most likely, different scenarios are going through his head right now.  He has an end point, it remains only to find the beginning and from it to lead the way to the end point.

“So, what do you need?  Since you couldn't contact me directly."

“Looks like you were able to build the whole picture, congratulations.  I need one help, small or big, evaluate it yourself as soon as you listen. ”

“Why should I help?  Can't you do it alone?"

“Quite the opposite.  I can do it on my own, but I thought it would be much easier with your help.”

On the opposite connection, only silence was heard, apparently he was thinking about something.

“Let me tell you what I need from you, and you will make a decision once you hear me out.”

"Okay, let's tell you what you need from me for a masterpiece."

I ignored his last words and gave the details of the plan.  If he refuses, then you have to do everything yourself.  Finally I heard a voice from the phone.

“There could be problems if things don't work out.  Are you sure this will work?"

“For all the time that I was in society, I learned a lot of details about our country.  The country basically looks at the opinion of the majority, if you manage to manage the majority, then you can manage the country.  Are you willing to help me?"

“I don’t know when was the last time I felt goosebumps.  Okay, I'll help you."

"Ah, and the last one."

I stopped to create a familiar comfort zone and said the following:

“Do you think people are equal these days?”

Seconds, a few seconds, and finally, exactly one minute later, he gave his answer.

"Hmm, hard to say.  Now many will probably say no.  And I'm also inclined to this opinion."

"Understood.  That's all for today."

"Keep my phone number and call me if you have any problems."

Call ended.  We talked for almost 10 minutes.  I wonder if they left without me?

On my way back, I picked up a few more books from the shelves along the way and wrote my name on the library cards.  The cashier looked at me strangely as I filled out my card, but decided not to ask.

While I was about to leave with books, I heard light footsteps behind me, turning around I saw Yotsuba.  I looked at her with my normal gaze, after which Yotsuba began to imitate the sound of a ghost.

"Boo!  I'm sorry, I wanted to scary you unnoticed"

“Hush, we are in the library.  Why did you want to scare me?"

“Um, I just wanted to see your scared face.  That's all."

“Then you should be more silent.  It wasn't hard to hear your footsteps in such a quiet place."

“Well, then I will try to scare you in places where my steps will not be heard.”

No, that's not what I meant.  Okay, I'll forget about it.

Then Yotsuba and I went to the exit to the others.  I decided to casually clarify one issue.

“Yotsuba, suppose that in the future one of you fails the test and cannot move on to the next year.  What would you do?

The Yotsuba stopped in front of me and turned to face me.

"Then, I'll just stay again next year."

"I see, don’t worry about this question.  I asked it purely out of curiosity."

“Okay, let’s go, otherwise they’ve probably been waiting for us.”

The two of us went further and we could already see the rest of the girls standing behind the glass door.  After going through the door, Nino attacked me with complaints like “Why is it taking so long?”  and so on.  After listening to all this, I gave Itsuki her phone back and added their father's phone number to my contacts.

Can today be called eventful?  I still think yes.

“Everyone did a great job today.  Well done."

It's getting late in the evening, so they could run out of steam tonight.  Thinking so, I told them the following:

“Perhaps you all are tired from today.  Do you want like to come to my house for dinner?”

“Ara, are you inviting five girls to your house?  What a bold move."  Ichika said.

"You shouldn't, Ayanokouji."  Itsuki said.

“Consider it your reward for today.  If you don't want to, you can refuse."

"If you say so, then I accept this offer."  Miku said.

"I'm going too!"  Yotsuba said.

“When I remember what you gave me that time, I wanted to try your food again.”  Itsuki said.

"I was interested in seeing your house, so I'm going too."  Ichika said.

“Hmph, I was also interested in trying your cooking.”  Nino said.

"Trust me you won't regret it."

Oh yeah, if you think about it, the current products I have might not be enough.  You have to go to the supermarket.

[A/N] – well, that was a long time ago.

What can I say?  This part is definitely full of future events.

What was Kiypon thinking?  Who knows?

It's time to make excuses.

I got sick again, but this time much worse.  It turns out that the previous disease was only at an early stage and now I am in a sick state.  Maybe I'll die or not.

I hope I can finish this fanfiction.  Because recently I was discussing the anime 'Five Brides' with a friend and I learned the canon.

It turns out that the story begins with the second year of study, and not with the first as I thought.  Because of this, I had to think about how to continue writing this fanfic.

I'll have to fix the moment of buying answers from senpai, or maybe even cut it out.  Or leave it as it is and tell Kiyopon that he was in his second year all this time and not his first.

Okay, I'll think of something.

Words: 4192.

Bye.
