no ones p.o.v

Entering the long brick hallway that has an arch celling, (Y/n)'s shoe made an audible soft tap once hitting the cermet floor.  It was a nice change for (Y/n), not having to worry if sand will get into their shoes now. Considering the last room they just exit from had sand floor and stone faces crying out warnings in deep ominous tones.

Because of those warnings, they have planted a seed of doubt in (Y/n)'s mind of their current tour guide;Hoggle. Because of this seed, they have enter into a friendly banter (in Hoggle's point of view, an annoying chat) of what will happen if Hoggle left (Y/n) in the tunnel they're in. Which leads us to the situation at hand.

Now in the brick hallway, Hoggle pause as he catches a glimpse of Jareth's trade match crystal ball rolling pass the two and into a stranger's cup. Who is sitting patiently in front of them. "Oh no" Hoggle softly mutters, predicting the following events are not going to end well. While (Y/n), unaware of the ball, spots the stranger. With a victory grin, (Y/n) speaks out to Hoggle; "Hey! A person! See, I bet I could ask them for directions." Thinking they have prove to Hoggle that they can survive without him. Hearing (Y/n)'s comment, Hoggle roll his eyes and tries to get pass the 'stranger'.

"Ah, what have we here?" The stranger, wearing a tore pirates hat and a blue cap, ask with a scratchy voice. "Ah, nothing" Hoggle reply sharply and defensively, walking past only for (Y/n) to grab him back and scold him. "Hoggle! Don't be rude-" but (Y/n) gets cut off by the stranger.

"Nothing? Nothing? Nothing, Tra la la?!" the stranger calls out, revealing to be Jareth in disgust. Standing up, Jareth takes off his costumes and walks around the room. Forcing (Y/n) and Hoggle to move so they made be on opposite sides of Jareth.  With a deadpan tone, (Y/n) saids to Hoggle, ;" On second thoughts, insult the guy". Only for Hoggle to ignore (Y/n) as he is scared of what to come. Seeing how he somewhat disrespectly talk to his king.

"Your majesty! What a nice surprise!" Hoggle said as his eyes widen at the sight of his King. "Hello Hedgewart" Jareth respond back. Mistaking Hoggle's name. "It's Hoggle, actually!" (Y/n) takes a step forward. Anger rushing in their veins at the slight of Jareth. As (Y/n) is still very piss at Jareth for sending them to the start and cause mix feelings that they can't decipher within them.

Jareth, looking over (y/n)'s angelic features can see the upset look on their face. In a mock surprise Jareth turns away from (Y/n) to Hoggle. "  Oh, in that case. Hoggle," Jareth said in a calm and unsetting tone" are you helping this human?  Because if you were helping this human, that would be consider an act of treason. And I'll be forced to suspend you head first in the bog of eternal stench!". With widen and frightful eyes, Hoggle call out as he collapse on his knees and grab onto Jareth's leg:" NO, YOUR MAJESTY! NOT THE BOG OF ETERNAL STENCH!"

'Woah, Hoggle. Watch where you're kneeing' (Y/n) thought as they watch how Hoggle grab onto Jareth's leg and beg for mercy...while having his head too close for comfort at *ahem* Jareth's crystal balls. 'This place is weird' Thought (Y/n) as they realise how much they wanted to go home.

Quickly shaken out of this train of thought. (Y/n) quickly improvise a lie to save Hoggle from this 'punishment',  as Jareth looks down at Hoggle in distaste. "He wasn't helping me!" Blurted (Y/n). Cause Jareth and Hoggle to look at them in surprise. (Y/n) eyes lock onto Hoggle's confuse blue eyes. "I was... following him". "Oh?" Jareth comment as he rise an eyebrow at (Y/n) for his interest has been caught at this news. (Y/n) snap there (e/c) eyes to Jareth's eyes. "Yeah, I saw him walk in here and deiced to follow him. He only caught me a few moments ago. He was about to leave me until you shown up. " (Y/n) lie smoothly as they mentally thank school. Seeing how they practice lying at school about their homework being done and have now become an expert liar.

" OH, following people now are we?" Jareth comment as he steps around Hoggle and gets closer to (Y/n). Who in turn takes a step back. "D-don't really have much of a choice since you force me to start over again" (Y/n) say bitterly, as their back hits agasint the brown brick wall behind them. " Still not over that, are we?" Jareth roll his eyes as he rest his arm on the wall that (Y/n)'s back is against. He then leans follow, into (Y/n)'s personal space. Again.

" It only happen 20 minutes ago!" (Y/n) shout out. Pressing their back against the wall. Trying their hardest to stay away from Jareth as their heart beats rapidly. "So dramatic" Jareth tease, " But I must ask, how are you enjoying my labyrinth?".

"Look whose talking, king of glitter" Now it was (Y/n)'s turn to roll their eyes at the Goblin King. "What?" Jareth ask, taken aback from the comment and not understanding what (Y/n) means. "Anyway, if I must answer your question. I'd say, the labyrinth is a piece of cake" (Y/n) respond pridefully, seeing how taken aback Jareth is and deciding to take advantage of this. Testing what else this could achieve from Jareth being off guard and hoping this answer will help in doing so. Too fousce on Jareth, (Y/n) didn't hear Hoggle groaning in the background. Fully knowing this will end badly.

"Really? How about upping the steaks?" Jareth asking, already having a plan in mind. Unfortunately for him, (Y/n) has beaten him to the punch. " I couldn't agree more. Got one of your magic balls on you?" (Y/n) ask. Seriously not knowing what else to call the crystal balls that Jareth keeps on him. With an annoyed huff, Jareth with a flick of his wrist brought out one of his crystal balls without moving away. Jareth simultaneously corrected (Y/n); "You mean crystal ball. But, yes. Why?"

"How about an treasure hunt in addition to getting through your labyrinth? I must get to the castle and presented you this crystal ball that you will hide somewhere in the Labyrinth for me to find. Deal?" (Y/n) explain as Jareth listen intently. "No!" Hoggle whine from the background. " I can hide it wherever in the Labyrinth?" Jareth clarify as he formulated a plan and mentally thanking (Y/n) for making his work easier. "Wherever you want." (Y/n) clarify" SO, do we have a deal or not?" (Y/n) ask as they awkwardly hold out their hand to shake.

Jareth glance down and back to (Y/n). With a wide smirk Jareth takes (Y/n) hand only to bring it to his face and kiss on the back of (Y/n)'s knuckles. " I believe we have an deal." Jareth said in a soft tone. Jareth then walks away  but call over his shoulder; "But, if you fail. Not only will I keep your brother. You must stay here as well."

" what?! Er, um- I-" (Y/n) shock by the new conditions couldn't call out an response and gets cut off by Jareth as he walks back to where releave himself and turns to face (Y/n). "Agree to it? Brilliant, a deal is a deal after all. I guess I leave you to your task now. Good luck finding your treasure." Jareth brings the ball in view and does a quick trick and make the ball disappear. "Oh, before I leave, The labyrinth's a 'piece of cake' you say? Let's see you deal with this slice!" Jareth brings out another crystal ball and throws it at a wall. Which in turn calliopes and realevas a machine coming towards (Y/n) and Hoggle, as Hoggle now stands next to (Y/n).

"OH, NO, THE CLEANERS!" Hoggle cry out in a panic and runs away from the cleaners. "The what?" (Y/n) ask as they watch Jareth disappear and look at the machine questionably.  "RUN!" Hoggle instruct as he runs away. (Y/n), now noticing the machine is coming closer towards them and quickly follows behind Hoggle. "Oh Shi-"

"Hurry!" Hoggle cries out. Cutting (Y/n) off.

(Y/n) turns around and  sprinted down the hall. Running behind Hoggle who trips over his feet. Halting, (Y/n) reach down and helps Hoggle up. "You okay?" Ask (Y/n) as they hold onto Hoggle's hands and continue running down as the drill behind them creeps closer. "I'm fine! Keep running!" Hoggle cries out as he runs beside (Y/n), holding tightly on to their hand.

The duo soon reach the end of the hall, where a lock gate deny them of the safety they wanted. "oh no!" Cry Hoggle as he lets go of (y/n) hand and bang on the gate. (Y/n) also has their hands on the gate, shaking it in hopes it opens. (E/c) eyes scan around the hall to find something that could help open it. But instead, the widen eyes land on an old wall.

(Y/n) quickly walk over to the wall and push against it. Finding that it is weak but still stable. (Y/n)  push against the wall, yet it still stay up. Hoggle look over and see what (Y/n) is trying to do. He quickly rush over to help (Y/n) but even with Hoggle's help, the wall stayed up. The two look over and see the cleaners are coming closer. Pushing the two to work faster and harder.

With one great push, the two managed to get the wall to collapse. The two also fall down along with the wall, but luckily they are out of the cleaner's path. (Y/n) puts an arm on top of Hoggle to keep him safe and keep their head down as they hear the cleaners go past them. A moment of silence past and (Y/n) lift their head up and notice that they're in a small room with a ladder. Glance over to Hoggle, who is staring at (Y/n) with widen eyes, (Y/n) couldn't help but let out a chuckle. That slowly grows into a full out laughing fit.

Hoggle slowly joins in the contagious laughing fit. The two are laughing in shock and relief that they have survive the cleaners. Once calming down from the laughing fit, (y/n) get's up and hold a hand out for Hoggle. Hoggle accept the hand and gets pull up while wiping away any stray tears.

The two walk over to the ladder as (Y/n) try to look whats up ahead. "I guess this leads the way out?" Guess (Y/n) as they turn there head to Hoggle. Hoggle nods his head and gesture with his hands for (Y/n) to go up first. (Y/n) steps back, allowing Hoggle room to get up and with a cheerily grin reply; "No no, ladies first, Hoggle. Up you go". Hoggle roll his eyes that hold a hint of amusement. "Oh thanks" he said sarcastically but moves to climb up the ladder nevertheless. "You're very welcome, Hoggle" (Y/n) reply back and moves to climb up the ladder once Hoggle is farther up the ladder.

In that moment, the two didn't worry about what adventure or dangers are ahead of them. No, they enjoy the moment from surviving death from a giant drill as two friends they have become.
