Death at Berry Cove

Aries picked up his brother and sister by the scruff of their necks, running at full speed towards the warren. They arrived within seconds. Their warren had caved in, the stones that once held it up, brought it down. The screams and cries for help had silenced by the time they got there. Aries put down his brother and sister at the entrance of the caved-in warren. The white rabbit took a deep breath in before squeezing his slender body through a hole in the rocks,

"Winter?!" Called Aries, he searched for his mate but she was nowhere to be seen.

Aries stood in aghast at the bodies that lay piled up at the blocked entrance of the warren, he could hear their ghostly wails to be rescued. Aries flopped to the ground, a single tear trickled down his face as he spotted Wind Runner's crushed body, her bloody eyes glanced up at him,

"Did they make it?" She asked (she meant Aries's Siblings)

Aries's eyes made contact with the bunny sitter's, the brave white rabbit nodded up and down,

"Yes," he smiled, stepping over the many bodies to get to her.

A large boulder crushed her stomach as the chocolate coloured doe took in a painful last breath, "you are just like your mother... Keep fighting for what's right" she whispered as she faded away and blood covered her bright brown eyes.

Aries was in a state of trauma as he quickly backed off from his friend, dragging his paws through the hot, thick, blood of his beloved friend. He turned back to the blocked off the entrance, thinking about his siblings,

"I am all they have now..." Thought Aries to himself.

A sudden memory shot into his mind, "the escape tunnels! There still could be survivors!" Aries squished back out between the rocks and trotted over to his siblings,

"Come... We have to check the escape tunnel's exit" instructed Aries as he took them away from the gruesome scene, his snow-white underbelly stained with the blood of his friends.

Aries's paws crashed down on the ground as he rushed back into the forest, taking with him his siblings,   "Where's Winter?" Asked Aries's brother slowly,

"I don't know, Oak Hide... We will see her one day" muttered Aries.

"Aries?... Where is the exit to the escape warren?" Questioned his little sister, as she stared at him with innocence in her forest green eyes,

"Somewhere up here, Silver Chase" informed Aries with a hopeful smile.

(Efrafa) A brown rabbit came hurtling down the burrows, screaming and yelling the warren down, for he had witnessed the impossible,

"General!... General!... We have news about a new warren" blurted out Captain Vervain eagerly.

General Woundwort plodded out of his quarters and out onto his looking rock, that had a clear view around the main chamber.

"What is it Vervain?" Hissed Woundwort sounding a bit bored,

"We have seen the unexplainable... A snow-white rabbit stopped one of those mental boxes... By holding his paws out and holding it back!" spluttered Vervain, he was about to continue but Captain Campion butted in,

"He is as fast as El-ahrairah or maybe even faster!" interrupted Campion.

General Woundwort's ears perked up, "... As El-ahrairah" repeated Woundwort.

"Yes General," said the two captains at the same time.

"Find him, bring him to me!" Commanded Woundwort, not really believing the tale of the absurd indestructible rabbit.

The two captains bowed their heads and disappeared out the main chambers, to hunt the rabbit down, "that's if we can catch him, which is highly unlikely" muttered Vervain to Captain Campion as they left the warren.

"We can and we will, we just have to be crafty" stated Campion with confidence.

(Somewhere, deep in the woods) Aries came across an old, flaky, pine tree with a medium hole in the bottom of it. Aries sat down on the leafy ground and stared at it for about five minutes. Soon enough, one by one,  forty rabbits came out,

"Captain!..." Shouted ten of them as they sprinted at him, almost knocking him over,

"My Owsla!" smiled Aries.

The white rabbit hugged all his warriors, "how many did you save?" Asked Aries with a massive grin across his face,

"About thirty" answered his best friend and brilliant medic, Shark Heart.

Aries approached his best friend, "Winter?" Questioned Aries quickly, his eyes hoping and praying that she was still alive. Shark Heart looked down at the leafy path, before glancing back up at him,

"Sorry Cap... She held the escape gate from collapsing..." Whimpered Shark Heart sadly.

"It's ok Sharky" whispered Aries, backing off from the medic.

Aries stood on a nearby rock and looked over the Berry Cove rabbits, and with a good, strong voice he said, "I know of a warren we can go to. It's huge!... And no one lives in it" announced Aries loudly to the other rabbits.

"Follow me" muttered Aries with a vague smile as he leapt off of the stone and lead all his rabbits across the large Pine forest.
