Chapter 10

Dream and Sam went out. To find what Dream was searching for. Sam couldn't say no to someone who wants to save a family member.

Sam knows the pain of losing your family. He doesn't want anyone else to experience that. Even though he still kind of thinks it was Dream's fault why his family is gone. But he knew they were children then. They wouldn't have known that this could happen.

The went out. Into a grassy field. Dream had recognized this place. It was the same one. Where he last saw Sam when they were children. The same day he found out that Sam's parents were murdered. It was very cruel honestly.

"Isn't this?" Dream asked. Warry of any reaction he could receive from the other man.

"Yes. It is." Sam answered sternly.

Dream didn't want to push the conversation longer. He knew that it would be a very sensitive topic for both of them.

"Anyways here. I've had this map for a very long time. So that I could keep track of it's location." Sam stated. Showing Dream a map that most likely lead to the Revival Book.

"Why do you need to keep track of it's location?" Dream asked curiously. Did the book teleport to different places all the time or?

"Because I check on it once every week. I need to know if it had been stolen. I know that people would use this with bad intentions." He paused. Rising his gaze up to Dream's face.

"You're going to return after you are done with it. Promise?" Sam knew he needed to be sure the Dream will give it back. It was an important artifact with a very powerful power.

"Promise." He said after nodding in response.

They went on and followed the map. They went through rivers and other bodies of water. Through some small hills. It was close by but the map gave them the long way. Sam didn't want to tell Dream that there was a short cut. Because he still kinda enjoys hanging out with him.

It been a long time since they did this sort of stuff.

They arrived Infront of a cave. A cave filled with torches.

"Do we need a flash light? Those torches seem burnt out." Dream stated. As he looked inside the dark cave.

"No. Just flip this switch." Sam point to light switch on the wall. Dream turned it on to see florescent lights up in the ceiling of the cave.

"I- I thought." Dream mouth was open in shock. He did not expect it to have florescent lights.

"As I said, I always come here every week. So I have added those lights because it's easier that those torches you seen on the wall." Sam answered. Even though Dream hadn't asked him a question he knew one was coming or Dream was already asking himself that.

They went inside. Passed through a series of hallways. I til they arrived. A pedestal was placed on the middle. With the book placed above it. Floating. It had magic you know.

Sam gave Dream the 'okay' to grab the Book. And Dream did so. Slowly. He has to be careful with this.

"Sam?" Dream asked. The book placed on his hands.

"Yeah?" Sam replied. Looking around the room for any suspicious activity.

"Why didn't you use the revival book on your parents?" Dream had asked. Sam turned his gaze back on Dream. Facing him with a blank expression.

"They were already buried when I found this. Thanks for asking though." He chuckled awkwardly to himself.

Dream just stared blankly. But he didn't reply or anything. He just stared. Until the other man stopped laughing though.

"It's getting dark out you know. Why don't we just stay at my place for the night?" He suggested.

To be honest. Dream was tired. Really tired. So he only nodded in response.

"I know a short cut." Sam stated. Leading Dream outside of the cave.

They arrived back at the surface.  It was quiet and it was getting dark.

He went north of the cave. And arrived at the entrance of his base in about 5 minutes.

"It was that close! We literally spent hours following that map!" Dream complained.

"Ehh. At least we had fun? Come on. Let's just rest for now. We can go to your brother tomorrow. We have time I think?" He said after he got inside the hideout.

"Okay." Dream smiled.

They enjoyed the moment of silence. It was silent until someone called Dream.

"Dream!? Are you there!" Sapnap frantically asked.

Dream's calm face turned into a concerned one after hearing Sapnap's tone.

"Yeah? What happened??" He asked worriedly.

"UNFOUND AGENCY. ATTACKED!" He answered. His heavy breathing heard through the line.

"What do you mean they attacked!?" Dream shouted.

"Dream? Is everything okay?" Sam asked. Concerned about his childhood friend.

Dream shook his head.

"They tried to destroy Tommy! You gotta hurry man. I don't think they want any trace of him left in the world!" Sapnap replied.

"Is he okay? Did anyone get hurt?" Dream asked. He worried even more. He doesn't understand why those stupid agents want to get rid of his family! Do they hate him so much that they had to destroy everything he has!

"Tommy's fine. And we're only a little bruised." Karl answered the question.

Shouts were heard in the background.

"Where's Bad!"

"He's here! With Skeppy!"

"Is Tommy's 'thing' stable??"

"Yeah! I am going to get revenge on those agents for doing this to a child!"

"We're gonna hunt them down! And finish them off! Once and for all."

"Oh. Okay. We're coming tomorrow. See you then." Dream hung up the phone.

He told everything to Sam. Man he really wants to kill all of those agents off. Right now.

But he has to wait for Tommy. Surely he would also love to do the same thing.
