"STARTTT!!!"

Everyone started running towards the gate. Well, not everyone actually. I used my wind quirk and fly myself towards the gate. My clothes didn't change colour, I guessed maybe because it's already dark blue in the first place.

The gate was way too narrow, so it's kinda hard for people to pass the gate without being pushed. Suddenly, most of the racers got stuck by ice at their leg. One person came to my mind. Todoroki. Well, guess my decision to use my wind quirk was a right choice.

"I'm all frozen!"

"My leg!"

"I can't move!"

Well, when I said most of the racers, I mean some of them managed to dodge the attack.

"Too easy Todoroki!"

"I ain't letting you get ahead of me, half and half!"

"Nope. Not happening for a second time!"

Most of the people who managed to dodge that attack are students from Class 1A. Personally, I'm glad.

I focused back in flying but was surprised at what's in front of me. Weren't those are the zero pointer robot from the entrance exam?! One of it was about to attack Mineta. So I used my wind to save Mineta from the attack.

"Woah! Thanks Boboiboy."

I smiled at him as my welcome.

"The villain-bots from the entrance exam?!"

"Every obstacle course needs obstacles! Starting with the first barrier, Robo Inferno!"

"It's the villain-bot that was worth zero points in the entrance exam!"

"Hold on, you're telling me the dept, of heroes kids had to fight those things?!"

"There's way too many of them to slip past!"

I can't waste any time here. There will be more obstacles ahead of us. So I used my lighting and made a pair of lighting swords. Of course, my clothes turn from dark blue to yellow, though everyone didn't realised the change... yet.

Lightning surrounding my body while I was preparing myself to attack. Some people need to cover their eyes because of the light.

"Lighting speed!"

I ran towards the zero pointers and attacked those robots.

"Lightning cleave!"

The robots got electrocuted. There were no robots attacking me anymore. Most robots were attacking other students. For me, there's only two zero pointers I need to defeat. Maybe today's my lucky day?

I saw Todoroki used his ice quirk to paralysed the robots. Just when I was about to continue running, I saw the frozen robots were crashing down. There will be some students getting crashed on if I didn't stop it!

"Lightning speed!"

I ran back with insane speed. I stopped in front of the falling robots while the others were trying to save themselves from getting crashed on.

I quickly switched my quirk from lightning to wind again.

"Wind blast!"

I collected the power of wind around it, and released it the the robots. As conclusion, the robot got pushed back by the wind and crushed at the opposite direction.

"1A's Todoroki has forged ahead and almost blocked the others in one fell swoop! This kid's harsh! But thanks to Boboiboy who used his wind quirk to stop the robots from crushing onto the other racers. So heroic even in competition."

No need to say all of that, Present Mic. I just did what I think was right. Now, I better catch up with Todoroki. I turned back to my lightning form.

Then I saw Midoriya looked at me in awe. At first I thought, 'what was he staring at? Is there something on my face?'. Then, I looked at myself. Oh, right. My clothes changed from dark blue to yellow. And it looked like not just Midoriya who stared at me.

"Holy-! Wasn't he supposed to have emitter-type quirk? Why did his appearance also change? Mummy man, he was your student, are you aware of this?"

"Yes, I'm aware. He told me about it before and we didn't have the answer for that. Maybe it was one of the quirk's effects."

Before I get questioned, better I continue running.

"Um, I told you before Midoriya. Hehe, I better get going. Lightning speed!"

I continued my race to the next obstacle. Many racers already passed the first obstacle and were heading to the next obstacle too. Most are from class 1A.

"Well then, missy, if the first barrier was a piece of cake, then what about the second?! You fall, and you're out! If you don't like that idea, maybe you can crawl!! It's The Fall!!"

The second obstacle looks dangerous. Wait, what am I thinking? The first obstacle was dangerous too. I recalled back Present Mic's suggestion. Crawl, huh? I smirked.

"Why do you need to crawl if you can fly?"

I switched to my wind quirk. I didn't plan to fly all the way to the other side. I will just 'throw' myself.

"Wind blast!"

I collected the strong wind power around me and released it. The windblast swept me right effortlessly as I used my momentum to support me leap to the end of the obstacle. Now I'm in the front position.

"Yes!"

I smiled as I continued running.

"Woah, the elemental boy got some moves! With one blast, he had passed Todoroki!" Present Mic announced.

"The elemental kid is not so bad!"

"Yeah, he even passed Endeavour's son!"

The audience couldn't believe what they were seeing. The other things they couldn't believe is that I was cheering on the other students! Well, I just want to support them. Heroes suppose to support eachother, right?

"Go! Go guys! You can do it! Believe in yourself!"

The others be like-

'Is he seriously cheering on us/them even in competition?!'

Midoriya just shook his head while smiling when he saw his friend's action. 'Well, in competition or not, Boboiboy is still Boboiboy, huh?' He thought. Midoriya just used the existing rope that was provided for the second obstacle.

'Now that I think about it, does Boboiboy's wind quirk's personality is happiness? He keep on smiling every time he use that specific quirk.' Midoriya thought.

"And now the leader of the pack is the dino hat boy, Boboiboy! Following him is Todoroki and Bakugo!"

"Half and half! Elemental freak!"

I saw Bakugo angrily charged towards me and Todoroki.

"Oh no, I'm going to be hit by a walking bomb timer!"

I gulped and fly faster until I saw the third obstacle. Wait, was that really the third? Looks like a normal route for me.

"And now, we've quickly arrived at the hidden final barrier! And it's true form is none other than a minefield! It's set up so that if you look carefully, you can see where the landmines are placed! So better be careful or else you'll be sent flying!"

Eh? Then how about the one who's already flying? And weren't mines are pretty dangerous?

"By the way, these landmines are for games, so they're not powerful."

I'm glad then but still, it will hurt if you get exploded by it. Guess I will stick with flying. It's the best decision I had.

I saw Todoroki and Bakugo were racing between them, but that wasn't my main focus actually. I was looking at the other students who were trying their best to not walk on any landmines.

When they failed, they got send flying by the explosion. Those scene reminds me of something. Something... from the pa-

"Ugh!"

My head hurts. I saw a vision. I was in a place that looks like a circus. There was like a flower shaped balloon in front of me and I went to touch it. Suddenly, the flower exploded and send me flying. I also heard some other people screamed in pain. I guessed they got hit by the explosion too. After that I-

Ugh! The headache is getting worse. If this keeps up, I think I will stop using my quirk and fall to the ground. I hold my head with my right hand. I looked forward and saw the finished line like 1 kilometer left.

I almost at the finishing line. So I forced myself to keep on flying to the finishing line. I can't let my hard work to reach this level go to waste!

Midoriya finally arrived at the third obstacle. He gasped as he realised his huge distance with the leading students. However, something else catch his attention.

He noticed that Boboiboy's flying was like some drunk man. He kept on flying left, right, up, down. As if he can't focus on his flying. Then, he remembered one of his theories about Boboiboy's quirk's side effect.

Maybe the more he used his quirk, the more energy he loss. He thought his theory was right and panicked for his friend's condition. Maybe Boboiboy used to much of his quirk to the point that he maybe could even faint!

"Oh no! I need to act fast!"

Midoriya had gathered the landmines carefully and place them in one spot.

"I'm going to borrow your idea, Kacchan! Super explosive speed turbo!"

He placed the robot armour that he had brought from the first obstacle in front of him and jumped on the landmines. This action had triggered the massive explosion, and the force of explossion had sent him flying towards Bakugo, Todoroki and of course, Boboiboy.

"Was it an accident or did he do it on purpose?! Class 1A's Midoriya is in hot pursuit with a blast!"

The audience went crazy, as they were served with another plot twist.

Once he almost passed Boboiboy, he let out his right hand to grab Boboiboy's left hand. Boboiboy was shocked With the sudden action. All of the headache suddenly disappeared.

"Eh?! Is this really happening or did Midoriya just grab Boboiboy to the finishing line with him?! This reminds me of the entrance exam. These two kids also helped each other to pass the test. Such a great friendship if I do say so myself."

I heard Midoriya saying something like 'I flew just like I'd planned but I didn't think about landing!' Then, I saw Bakugo and Todoroki was catching up with us.

"Deku! Elemental freak! Don't go ahead of me!"

"This will give those in the back a path but I don't have time to worry what's behind me!"

"Todoroki and Bakugo have stopped trying to slow down each other down and are chasing Midoriya! Now that they have a common enemy, they've stopped fighting!"

Well, since my headache was miraclely disappeared, I think it's not gonna hurt if I used my quirk on both of us.

"Midoriya hold tight."

"Huh?"

"Whirling wind!"

"What do you- MEAAAAANNNNNNN!?"

Because of the strong wind, we were pushed forward, straight to the finish line. Midoriya didn't prepared and about to fall back down but I manage to hold him. I pulled him and made him be at the front of me.

"Boboiboy used his wind to increase their speed! Damn, Eraserhead, your class is really something!! What are you teaching them?!"

"I didn't do anything. This is the fruit of the fires they lit in each other."

When we were about to land, I used my wind to slow us down, so that we won't get hurt while landing.

"Who could have predicted this outcome when the trial began?! The men who have returned to the stadium together are none other than Midoriya Izuku and Boboiboy!! They will be names to know. Midoriya's in first place followed by Boboiboy! Good job you two!"

After landing, we were panting pretty hard. Well, that event was really something.

"Boboiboy, you okay?"

I looked up and saw Midoriya was in front of me.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Thanks for what you did. It's really unnecessary."

"It's nothing. You looked like you were about to faint if I didn't do anything, so I just did what I did."

"Oh, is it that obvious?"

"Well, for me, yeah, a bit. What happen that time?"

I remembered my vision. About the circus place, balloon, explosion, scream and all.

"It's nothing serious. Just have some flashbacks and all. It happen sometimes. So don't worry."

Midoriya sighed in relief.

"I'm glad then."

It looks like the other students are also here, since I saw Uraraka and Iida coming to us.

"Deku, Boboiboy! You both were amazing!"

"To think I'd place so low with a quirk such as my own..."

"Uraraka, Iida!"

"It's fine Iida. You did great! Atleast you tried your best!"

I tried to cheer Iida's up and it went successfully.

"Congrats on first place! But damn it stings!"

"No, I just..."

I giggled. Midoriya's being shy again. Then, Midnight started to announced the results.

"And so it's over! Now everyone, here are the results! The 42 at the top have earned the right to advance!! I'm sorry for the kids who failed but take heart! This festival's showstopper is still being prepared!!

And now for the post-preliminaries, the final selection! From here on, even the press corps will teem in a white heat of excitement, so go all out!

Now then, onto today's heart-pounding second event! I already know what will it be but the suspense is killing me.. what could it be?! Well, I'll tell you!"

It's only the beginning. There's still more in this sports festival. I just need to prepare myself to all the things they will give us.
