"Axel, wrong timing" I speak into the phone while driving away from Guy's bar.
"No, don't hang up, you need to hear this Leo" his voice quivering.
"What's it about?" his voice only quivers whenever he's flustered or there's something amiss.

"Kristoff got to the intruder first" he literally shouted into the phone.
"What? do the others know?"
"Yes, everyone knows, and he's making it more known. You need to come down to Terry & Co. now".

"Now?" the clashing of time is making me lose my mind.
"Yes, right now. What else is more important than you defending your name from being dragged through the mud. Can you believe she was a Journalist?"

"What do you mean by was?"
"He got rid of her immediately. Kristoff is here with his halo, acting the saving grace part".

"Axel, I need to know. When did he get her?"

I slam the phone on the steering wheel in frustration and avid anger, changing direction to the outskirts of town.
