"What are you doing this hour?" Jeno's mom asked after seeing her son unexpectedly Infront of her. Scanning the scene , surprisingly he brought his secretary with him. Must be work related

"Mom..." Jeno struggled to look directly at his mother's eyes from nervousness he felt from his body

Jaemin behind him was equally nervous as him. Couldn't even control his hands shaking. Jeno's mother raised a brow

"If you have something to tell me then have a seat first. Seeing you all nervous , must be a important" she gestured her hands down

the both of them sat down meeting with a cup of tea being poured down to each cup. Jeno felt the air from the tea going through his stomach as gulped the lump he felt

"What are you two doing? drink some tea" she clinked the cup with a tea spoon

"Have you been doing well?" she asked

"I am fine mother-" Jeno answered but instead he earned a look from his mother

"Of course I know you are doing fine I saw you just two days ago. I am asking your secretary since I haven't seen him for ages" she glared at her son and glanced at Jaemin with a welcoming smile

"I am doing great ma'am"  Jaemin replied while blowing the hot tea to overcome the awkwardness

"that's great to hear. I hope Jeno isn't going too hard on you , I heard you always work overtime" she sighed "must be tiring"

"Oh no it's okay ma'am! I really don't mind" he reassured

she only chuckled lightly "do you have girlfriend already?" she purposely asked the question to see her son's reaction

Jaemin was taken back by the sudden question. Well he doesn't have a girlfriend but he does have a boyfriend though which is the person beside him and also her son

Jaemin faked a chuckle "No I don't have have one and I don't plan  a getting in a relationship anytime soon" he said which made Jeno scoff

"no time for dating my ass" Jeno muttered under his breathe

she nodded agreeing with the secretary "Really? But seems like you have time to have boyfriend. Right Jasmine?" she said so calmly

"Yes ma'am..." Jaemin replied while it took him a few seconds to process what the lady just said. Jasmine? Jasmine Na? wait how does this make any sense. He isn't even playing as Jasmine right now

His widened his eyes and called his mother "What do you mean by that mom?" Jeno  tried to dumb her but it's too late she smirked it off having enough with their games

"Do you think I don't know your little secret?" she laughed "Remember I am your mother Jeno. I gave birth to you and raised you . Do you think I won't know?"

"But how-"

"I just found out last week after you said you broke up with her but I don't think you two broke up right?" she transferred her gaze to the secretary

Jeno stood up defeated "Look mom I can explain" but his mother raised her palm ordering to stop

"No need to explain I already know everything so just sit down" she gestured her hands "if you're worried about you dating a man don't worry I won't bother" it's not her first time raising a gay son. Look at his brother happily married in a another country with his husband and she is still mad about his brother not telling her about being engaged already

why are people so secretive around her?

Jeno was scared for his life he never been more scared than her mother right now since she said it with no emotion making it impossible to read what she is happening inside her head

her lips formed into a curve "Take care of him okay?" she said to him with her eyes slowly forming up tears trying not cry

even if Jaemin was stull confuse about what is happening he manage to nod as a reply "I am sorry for lying to you ma'am" he lowered his head down while apologizing

"It's okay , it's not your fault I should be the one apologizing since all of this wouldn't happen if I didn't forced my son to an arrangement marriage. I was scared that he would grow up lonely with nobody to lean on" she hugged him while patting his back "but I was wrong I shouldn't have crossed the line and mendel with Jeno's life. Instead of making his life easier I made it more harder."

"Mom don't say that" Jeno hold backs his tears after watching such a beautiful moment

she sighed "Now he has someone who could make him smile is already enough for me. Whether you act as Jasmine or Jaemin you two make a great couple"

"and also I'll talk to you later Jeno" she said in the most threatening way "you and your brother are no different"

Jeno smiled and rush to hug his mom trying to calm her down
