Wings of Education

"GRADE X, ST. CECILIA CLASS"

"Ready!"

All 27 students saluted, before balling there fists tightly.

"Set...!"

Bullets of sweat formed on some students' foreheads.

"START!!"

'SWIIING!' A dagger was swung by a student, David, who was aiming for Aaron. But David was sidekicked by him, just before the blade could even touch him. He fell, butt first onto the ground dropping his dagger. When Aaron approached him, having his own weapon in hand, a battle axe, David backed away in fear. Aaron raised his weapon above his head and...

He felt himselft get impacted by a strong force that knocked him off, also causing him to drop his weapon. The person who saved David held out their hand, and David took it. The person who helped him was Kitchie

David was about to thank her but he felt himself get stunned, as he looked at Kitchie in the eye. All wild and mischief, he thought before he fell backwards. Kitchie twirled her trusty staff in her hand before equipping it. She smiled and turned around.

Almost quick as lightning, she only caught a glimpse of three figures running past her. Seth, Harry, and Trishtan. They had attempted to attack her but her movements were much quicker than theirs, so they had to bail.

Kitchie sighed. She heard someone walking up behind her, and she instictively turned around and swung her staff towards her attacker.

Muchi had been trying to sneak up on her but her plan backfired as Kitchi swung her staff towards her. She shut her eyes tight but felt nothing hit, although she did hear someone take the blow for her, as they let out a groan of pain. Muchi opened her eyes and saw Kat had grabbed the staff before it could hit her and Muchi, and before Kitchie could react, Kat gathered up her strength to yank the staff out of Kitchie's hands and toss it far.

Kitchie, now helpless without her staff, took off running in fear. Muchi ran up and hugged Kat tightly, with Kat stroking her head. She looked up slowly and wasn't able to react fast enough, as Aaron threw all his strength to knock Kat off her feet and sent her slamming into a wall, causing a large crack from the impact.

Muchi looked up at Aaron, terrified. Her helpless body trembled as she tried to back away from the taller, and much stronger boy. Aaron grabbed her by the collar of her shirt and was about to give her a nasty punch.

'WACK!' An arrow had striked Aaron right at the shoulder, making Aaron let go of Muchi. The brunette fell onto the ground, unharmed but shaken. She was too scared to look up, but at the corner of her eye, she saw someone slowly walk up to Aaron, as he winced in pain from the blow.

Jared. Aaron glared up at his friend. Jared gave him a cold look, holding his bow in his right arm. Aaron gathered up all his strength to stand up, and lift up his Battle Axe in his left hand.

The two took a step backward as they gripped their weapons tightly. They charged towards each other and...

"TIME'S UP!"

Sir Marc yelled, clicking his stopwatch. He wrote down somethings onto the rubrics on his desk and the six students, who were unharmed, went up to him.

"You did great, you six" Their adviser said, as he gave them their rubrics for PE, 'Stealth'.

"Next!" Sir Marc called out the next six students, but not before shaking his head at Seth, Harry, and Trishtan, who had cowardly bailed on the practical test.

"8/10, huh? Not bad" Kat held her paper in delight, as she sat beside Muchi, who unfortunately got a 6/10. "....you two are lucky, I got 5/10" David sighed in disappointment. "Well maybe cause you got knocked over twice" Kitchie said, laughing a little.

"...." Aaron and Jared held their papers in silent. "10/10" They thought. "I hate you guys" Kat said, groaning. "Com'n, I got 9/10. Oh no, what would my parents say?" Kitchie tried cheering Kat up. "HOW'S THAT SUPPOSED TO HELP, HM?" Kat asked, giving her a look.

"So... how's training going to help us if our roles in the Theater are about Fairies? Aren't fairies supposed to be magical and sparkles?" Aaron asked Jared. "Eh, sir Marc said we're Wind fairies, the type of War kind of fairies, so... I have no idea" Jared responded.

"Welllll..." David rested his head on his arms, as he put his feet up ontop of a desk. "Wherever we're going on the fieldtrip, I hope there's food" David said to himself. "Obviously, there's going to be food there, idiot. What kind of hell of a place would not serve food to students on a fieldtrip?" Aaron facepalmed.

"I just hope we get to fight some actual monsters" Jared cracked his knuckles and smirked. "Well that would be nice, if only we had gained our tranformations.." Kitchie said diappointedly. The others then realized she had a point. They still didn't have their complete abilities, well for now.

"....hey cheer up, guys. We'll still be able to learn new information on how to get our abilities on the fieldtrip!" Muchi said confidently. "Muchi-Puchi's right! That way, I can earn my spirit medium abilities and impress you with--.... nevermind" Standing up, in a rather weird heroic pose, Kat embarrassingly sat back down slowly.

"And you guys say I'M the over-the-top guy here" David said, rolling his eyes.

((Four days pass))

"Dude.... is this real?"

The six chosen SDMV students lined up infron of what is seems to be a normal looking small plane out in the open field, with the rest of the SDMV Grade X students and teachers behind them, with their school bus waiting at the road. The six looked down at their bags, then back up at the plane. Sir Marc silently walked up to them, and handed them all a little something.

"Put them on" It was their school logo, with the words printed on it.

All six of them attatched it to their left arm sleeve. It looked good, honestly. "Thank you, sir" They are responded. Their adviser took a small step forwward and saluted, the six returning the salute back.

As they were about to get on, they heard someone shout their names. They turned around and saw Trishtan, with Seth, Harry, Mikhe, and the new students, Keisha and Shayne, run up towards them.

"You guys..." Trishtan grabbed Jared's shoulder tightly, giving him a glare. Jared returned it with a cold expression on his face.

"Don't forget to bring us souvenirs." Trishtan said, still grabbing hold of Jared's arm. He shook Trishtan's hand off and huffed. "Yeah, yeah"

"You promise?" Harry asked. "Yea" David answered for Jared. "We promise"

The pilot cleared his throat, getting the attention of everyone. "We need to go now, or you'll be late"

The six smiled and headed towards the plane, but not before waving goodbye to their fellow classmates and teachers. Jared and Kitchie got on the plane first with their backpacks, and then followed by David and Aaron, carrying laugages. Kat took a few steps up the plane, but then noticed Muchi struggling to carry her, large bag of whatever the hell is in there.

Seth decided to help her out, as he walked up to her and was about to offer to carry the bag, but he tripped over something, causing him to faceplant on the grass. Kat was sticking her leg out, which she used to trip Seth over, with a smirk on her face. "You okay, Seth?" Harry peeked over at him, with Keisha beside him.

She quickly picked up the bag of Muchi with a smile on her face. "Let me help!"

Muchi smiled back. "Thanks, Kat!"

Seth lifted up his head with grass all over it. Kat turned her head to face him, giving him a sharp but mischevious smirk as she carried the bag up the plane.

"After I set this back down, marry me, Muchi!" Kat said, beaming ear-to-ear.

"Is everyone ready?" The pilot asked. Everyone gave a thumbs up. The pilot nodded. "Alright, let's take off"

The plane's engines started and the plane began to take off. The six students watched as their classmates and teachers waved goodbye. They waved back at them, well.. except David.

"BYYYYYYYYYYYE!!!!!!!! WEEE'LL SEE YOU IN FIVE DAAAAYSSS!" David pressed his face up against the glass. "Knock it off, four-eyes" Jared pulled David by the hair away from the window.

"This is going to be a long flight, kids. Better get some rest" The pilot said, not looking at the students, since he was focused on steering the plane.

---

"They'll be arriving soon. I'll need to call the Winx to help the students out for this" An elderly woman said to herself, as she stood by the window.
