55| Morning ✓

Rehan wakes up hearing the baby cry. It has become their daily routine but the new parents couldn't allow themselves to wake up at five in the morning.

But they were lucky for new parents as Ryan doesn't make a fuss in the middle of the night. And the parents always thank their son by cuddling and covering him with kisses.

"It was only Five Thirty boy," Rehan mumble to his son as he removes the latter's trousers and dirty nappy. He throw the nappy in the dustbin and clean Ryan with wet wipes.

Rehan moves to get new clothes and a nappy for his son and not seeing a human around him Ryan start to cry.

"No. No." Rehan hushes running back to his son with the clothes. "So you woke up early in the morning and wants someone to stand by you the whole time? Things don't work that way in the grown-up world. Okay?"

As Rehan talks, while changing his clothes, Ryan looks at him with his hand in his mouth.

"I hope you are not hungry. Mama is sleeping. We don't want to disturb her." Rehan murmur taking Ryan in his arms. He walks for a few minutes to make him sleep but Ryan starts crying of hunger.

"Hey." Rehan pat Aadhya. "The boy is hungry."

Aadhya half open her eyes and take Ryan and made lie him next to her. He latches on her breast and Aadhya caress his hair as her son stare into her eyes.

Rehan jumps on the bed and lies opposite them.

"I saw fourteen girls before you and I stopped my bride hunt when I reached your house. And now we are grown." Rehan tells placing his hand on Aadhya's waist.

She smiles with her eyes close.

"It's going to be a year since we first met."

Rehan raises his eyebrows in wonder. "Really?"

"20th of March is my birthday, on 27th you came. Three months later, on June 12th, we got married. Two weeks later, your birthday. The next month I became pregnant. 6 months later, we had them. One month later on Feb 28th, we bought Ryan home. And a week after that here we are on the bed talking." Aadhya reply smiling.

"You just described a year of our life." Rehan chuckle. "What do you want for your birthday?"

"Lots of chocolate." Aadhya opens her eyes with a smile.

"What do you want for your birthday?" Rehan repeat.

Aadhya smirk. "Lots of chocolate."

"What do you want for your birthday?"

"Rehan."

"Aadhya."

"Come on, loosen up. Buy me chocolates." Aadhya smile at him changing Ryan to the other side.

"No."

"You already broke your unofficial rule thrice." Aadhya points out.

"You were going through a terrible time." Rehan justify.

"I love you but in this particular matter I don't have to necessarily like you."

Rehan laughs pulling her cheeks. "I can manage that."

"When are my dearest siblings coming?" Rehan asks after some time.

"Mom will drop them on the way to the hospital." She replies sitting on the bed to burp Ryan. "How is Ved now?"

"He's still fighting against it," Rehan answers thinking about his brother. Ved tries to get out of the house to go back to his old ways, but Sanjay holds him back in Rehan's absence.

Aadhya nods putting Ryan in the crib. She pats on his stomach a few times and when he sleeps she get him into his crib.

"I used to do drugs," Rehan mumble as Aadhya get back into the bed. She look surprise and something in him told to continue.

"Ved's age. Started with smoking, then slowly the fillings in the cigarette changed. Mom was pregnant with Rhea. One day she asked me to rub her legs and I was high and scared. Dad took me from there and talked to me. It was difficult and there were days when I would shut myself in the room and won't let the sunlight enter my room. Therapy and Dad changed me."

Aadhya holds his hand in hers and gives him an assuring smile.

"That was surprising information but you're a changed man now." Aadhya softly says.

Rehan nod. "Only dad knew, and we had to act all perfectly in front of Mom. One of the reasons why I changed is because she was pregnant. I will go with her to the hospital for checkups, give her medications, rub her legs and feet. Walk with her in the early mornings. My routine changed being with her. I was so distant and rude before and I've made Mom cry many times and being with her during the pregnancy changed me. All thanks to my father. He made me her caretaker." Rehan smile with a tear in his eye. "I was looking forward to taking care of you."

"Well, you can take care of me now." Aadhya smirk pulling Rehan closer.

Rehan giggle smelling her hair. "I just wanted to let you know about this."

"I understand. We are fine." She says pressing a kiss against his lips.

"What about not kissing with the morning breath?" Rehan smirk.

"My bleeding stopped and I'm finally free and ready for my husband both emotionally and physically. So if you want to talk about rules, bye. I'm going to sleep." Aadhya frown pushing him and laying with her back to him.

"Why didn't you tell me?" He asks tickling her through her shirt. He moves on top of her and she laughs keeping her hand on his neck.

"Well, I wanted to make sure that I was all okay and ready."

"Oh, my Aadhyaa." He calls her kissing her neck. She laughs pulling his shirt out.

"Wait."

"What?" Rehan asks throwing his shirt away.

"You have anything with you?" She implores.

"I have me and my junior." Rehan answer with a smirk.

Aadhya blushes slapping his arms. "I'm serious."

"I always have it on standby dear," Rehan whisper licking her ear. "I'll never come near you unarmoured."

Aadhya raises her hands helping Rehan to remove her shirt. She roll and came on top of him. Kissing his neck and way down, Rehan kept his hands on her waist. She removes his pants and leaves him in his boxers.

The calling bell ring but they both choose to ignore it. Rehan pins her against the bed and squeezes her breasts.

"Go easy there," Aadhya whisper.

"Sorry." Rehan nods pressing kisses down her chest. His hands go behind her to unhook her bra when his phone ring.

"We are going to ignore that," Rehan say kissing her swollen lips.

Aadhya pulls out and holds his face. "There was a calling bell and now the phone is ringing. Someone is outside."

"They'll go," Rehan replies kissing her again.

"Rehan." She says and he groans falling into her neck.

"I have a boner," Rehan assert.

"Please." She whisper. "After this. We'll take care of that."

"I'm counting on to that." He lets out kissing her hard on the lips before pulling back to stand up and go to the bathroom. "Also, if that's Sanjay and he came here for some petty issue, ask him to run before I kill him."

Aadhya dress up and checking Ryan once went to open the door. Rehan was going to meet Kavya today and Aadhya has to study so to take care of Ryan in the meantime, Aadhya called Ved and Liya.

"It's only six. Why are you here early?" Aadhya asks letting them in.

"Mom had an emergency so on the way she had to drop us early and Dad isn't back home. Surgery time." Liya explains dropping her bag on the couch. "We haven't bathed or brushed or anything. Got out of bed and got in the car. Is baby sleeping?"

Aadhya nod. "I fed him and he slept. He'll wake after two-three hours."

"Who is it?" Rehan asks coming down. "Oh, my favourite people in the whole wide world." He put a fake smile grabbing Liya's hair.

"Please." She groans. "Bhabhi, I'm going to sleep. And Bhai wake me up when you're going out."

"Why?" He inquire as she started walking up the stairs.

"Because you are dropping me. I have a date."

"Wha-" He starts to object but she leaves the room not hearing him.

"Please let her go. Gives me peace." Ved confesses jumping on the couch.

"You both came here to sleep? You both came here at 6 to sleep? You people-" Rehan start talking but Aadhya kept her hand on his arm and pull him back.

"He won't listen. Your brother, remember? Let's sleep." Aadhya smile walking with him back to their room.

"Sometimes I wish what if I was the only child. So peaceful." Rehan says closing the door of their room.

"And you want us to have more?" Aadhya ask.

"Well-" He smirks getting in the bed with her.

"Oh shut up." Aadhya laughs throwing the pillow at him.

"Good morning," Rehan whisper snuggling into Aadhya's neck.

"Morning." She replies dozing off.
