"And because he has feelings you better stay away from him or who knows what might happen. I already told you to back down once don't make me repeat myself.."

..•~Aesop POV~•..

I made my way to the kitchen carrying my and Eli's plates making sure to make a stop at the dining room to see if I had a match today. Turns out I really did have a match, in the afternoon. Joseph's words actually made some sense now and to be honest I didn't know if I should have been happy or scared. Never the less I went to the kitchen and washed the dishes leaving them to dry on the dish rack.

I still had about an hour and a half before my match so I wasn't in much of a hurry. As I sat down in my usual spot waiting for Eli I subconsciously started eyeing the booze at the corner of the counter again. It was a bottle of semi dark, whiskey colored rum that I hadn't seen before, probably some new brand they brought in although any liquor brought in was usually good if not top quality. I could almost imagine how sweet that rum would be, it'd would probably compliment the sweetness of the waffles from earlier pretty well too.

Before I knew it I had poured myself a glass, I tried to rethink it one last time before actually shooting it down. I knew that Joseph would be friendly on the match just like we had agreed and I had already eaten something so it couldn't go that wrong could it?

Without another thought I started gulping down the spicy sweet sugarcane distilled spirit. The feeling of not having any care in the world, escaping from your thoughts just for a few hours was so addicting, so much more fun than constantly being stressed and sad in this hellhole of a manor. Worrying about who to choose, where to walk, how to leave, so exhausting..

By the time Eli made it to the kitchen I had already drank about three glasses, that wouldn't be too bad if I wasn't a lightweight. I was already starting to feel a little drowsy but it was nothing I couldn't conceal for now, at least I didn't have to worry about anything for a while. Though, Eli didn't seem too happy to find me with the half empty rum bottle in my hand.

"AESOP PUT THAT DOWN YOU HAVE A MATCH FOR GODS SAKE!!"

"Oh no need to worry abo-"

"HOW MUCH DID YOU DRINK?!"

"Eeh.. like 2 or 3 glasses?"

"I'm- AESOP! you have a match in just fifty minutes. Come with me, now"

I was still alert enough to know about what was happening and I didn't think I'd get much more drunk than what I already was, I could probably do an ok job in the match as I were but it is true that a cold shower would help keep me awake. I couldn't tell if the brunette was worried or angry, or both. Whichever he was he took my hand dragging me up the stairs back to our room and told me to undress as he stormed into the bathroom.

A bit confused I looked at my shirt for a bit thinking before unbuttoning it then taking off my shoes and walking into the bathroom thinking that was good enough.

"Um Eli? are you maAA- C-COLD"

Before I could finish my sentence Eli pulled the shirt off of me and pushed me into the tub filled with ice cold water, in my panic I launched onto him like a cat clung onto its owner to avoid wetting wet even though I was already practically drenched. I guess I caught Eli off guard because he almost fell into the bathtub himself only catching himself by a split second by clutching onto the tub for dear life leaving us in a pretty awkward position.

"I honestly don't know how I am feeling right now.. Just please be careful in that match, it just feels really off to me."

"A-a-about that Joseph told me he wouldn't hurt us- so damn cold-"

"What? Joseph going friendly? really?"

"Yeah"

"I wouldn't trust that if I were you, I have never seen him go friendly not in one match"

"sure yea how long do I have to sit in here it's fucking freezing!"

"The longer the better, you should probably eat some more too. Why did you even go and drink that crap???"

"You'll start apologizing again I'm not telling you"

"Fine just stay here for a bit longer I'll go get you some more food and a towel"

The male untangled me from his neck and left, leaving me to soak in the tub for another twenty minutes. I hadn't realized until now that my hair had gotten wet too but the freezing water dripping on my back assured me that it really was completely soaked just like the rest of my body along with my pants. Those twenty minutes felt like an eternity.
