The Kids' Decision

"Kids! Where have you been?" said Ringo.

"We were out in the jungle searching for Meg" said Calvin.

"Oh, gracious. I hope you three were careful out there" said George.

"Are any of you three hurt?" said Paul.

"We're alright, Macca. But Meg's dying" said Charles Wallace.

"Yeah. She told us that she broke an arm, a leg and at least two ribs" said Sam.

"Oh, dear! Where is she, kids?" said a very frightened Paul.

"She's in room 158. Just down the hall" said Calvin.

Paul hurried down the hall and found Meg attached to wires and not moving.

The nurses were there.

"How is she?" said Paul.

"Well, she's out of her head, Mr McCartney. She's talking like her heart's about to break. She wants you badly" said the nurse.

Paul walked over to Meg's bed and took her hand.

"Paulie?" Meg whispered through tears.

"Meg. I'm right here, love. Your friends told me what happened. How'd you get stuck under a collapsed building?" said Paul.

"I was trying to climb the ruins so that I'd get a better view and I could tell if I was near Wiggletown. I think I hit a loose brick because the ruins collapsed right on top of me" Meg said.

"Oh, my gracious. I was so worried about you, my lovey. So we had the Wiggles go look for you and your mates. And they called back saying you weren't looking well." Paul said stroking Meg's hair.

"I only wanted to see the Wiggles again, Paul" said Meg.

"I know, love."

"But I've learned my lesson. I should have told my friends to come with me." said Meg.

"Oh, Meggie. At least your brain is alright" said Paul.

"I know. But what about my bones?" said Meg.

"I don't know, love. I think your best bet is to stay in Wiggletown until you're better" said Paul.

"That's right, Paul. Meg will be stuck here for a while." said Dorothy.

Paul leaned in to kiss Meg's head.

"It's getting late, Paulie. You should get back to the Cavern" said Meg.

"I can't leave you" said Paul.

"Hey. I'll be okay. I'll have Dorothy and Wags to keep me company" said Meg.

"If you're sure" said Paul.

Paul gave Meg's head one last kiss before exiting to where his mates and the kids were.

"She's gonna be stuck in Wiggletown for a while" said Paul.

"Looks like the three of you will be the only ones coming home for now" said George.

"We are NOT leaving Meg. That is not happening!" said Charles Wallace.

"Charlsie, we can't go home without you kids. We came back for you" said John.

"Well, we can't go home without Meg" said Sam.

"She's gonna be here for weeks. And she has people to look after her. You don't" said Ringo.

"Don't you worry, Beatles. We'll take care of the kids for you" said Murray.

"Are you sure, Wiggles? Because they wen't through a lot today" said George.

"Yes, we're sure" said Jeff.

"Okay, then" said John.

"Now, Murray. We know you still want to impress Sam, even after you decided to be friends. But I'm sure you do realize that the kids have lost their best friend, and their home in one day" said Ringo.

"Ringo's right. So keep in mind that maybe the last thing Sam wants after all this is the Red Wiggle parading her" said George.

"Okay. I understand" said Murray.

"Thank you" said George.

"Thank you, Wiggles, for agreeing to look after the kids while Meg's in hospital" said Paul.

"No trouble. Now hurry, Beatles. You might miss your next tour" said Greg.

The Beatles said their good-byes to Calvin, Sam and Charles Wallace and left for home.

Looks like things just got a whole lot harder.

How will the kids survive without the Beatles? Will Meg be alright?

Let's find out!

Peace and love,

Sammy
