Killahead

"dude, what the hell are you made of?" Toby asked Jim. they had all settled down and were now talking about things. Unfortunately, ARRRGGH! was still clueless but he had always been a good listener.

"you've done the impossible time and time again, my friend." Douxie commented, trying to explain where Tobys question came from. Jim laughed from his seat on the couch.

"to hell if i know anymore." he laughed as he fell back, gaining chuckles from everyone else. Jim's eyes wandered to the group's gentle giant and his mood fell. He felt guilty that he didn't have enough energy to help ARRRGGH! or Archie with their memories. ARRRGGH! Turned his head and saw the look on the half troll's face, recognizing what it was as Jim turned away from his gaze.

"Don't feel bad." the former Gumm-Gumm tried to reassure Jim, catching everyone's attention. Jim sighed and they all could tell what was going on.

"Jim, that spell is seriously hard to perform." Douxie's voice sounded from Jim's right. "Don't feel guilty that you could only get one go out of yourself." the wizard said, putting a hand on Jim's shoulder.

"Especially that spell in reverse." Archie commented, gaining some strange and confused looks from everyone else. "That spell was originally made to erase memories, not give them back. And a spell casted in reverse is always ten times harder to do that the normal way." the feline explained.

"Not to mention adding time magic into the mix." Douxie added. "As you know, time magic is the most powerful and hard to control of all the different types of elements." he told them.

"Seriously, what are you made of?!" Toby asked again after hearing how much more impressive the act was.

"I still don't know, Tobes." Jim chuckled, shaking his head. They went on to talk about random things, when a bang came from the entrance.

"What in Deya's name is this?!?!" Vendal shouted as he hit his staff into the floor in anger. Jim had never been introduced to the elder as a troll, nor was Douxie in his disguise, and switching now would only lead the pale troll to believe changelings got into trollmarket. Claire had never seen the elder in this timeline either.

"Ah, Vendal. Good to see you, my old friend." Blinky stepped in, although his voice was slightly panicked. "This is just a friendly gathering. Nothing to worry about." he said, trying to dismiss the fact that there were two more humans in his dwelling.

"more humans? I allowed the trollhunter and his skinny friend but this is an infestation!" Vendal said, ignoring the four armed trolls' comment as he smashed his staff into the ground again. "I've been told rumors of new whelps that were roaming trollmarket and heard they've been seen with you the most. I came to introduce myself and I found THIS!" the pale troll yelled again.

"Vendal, elder of trollmarket." Douxie said, walking forward with his palms facing the troll. "I apologize for mine and my friend's sudden appearance." he said, gesturing to Claire. "We are sorcerers that were summoned by the trollhunter to help with the fight against evil forces." Douxie knew how to defend himself in the presence of a leader. He had plenty of practice with King Arthur.

"Yeah Vendal. I asked them to be here. They're friends." Toby said, jumping up from his seat and trying to convince the troll the story was true. Claire got up from her spot on the couch next to Jim and walked over as well. She gave Douxie a look and he understood where she was going with this.

"Vendal of trollmarket, it is an honor to be here and a pleasure to meet you." Claire said in trollish, surprising the older troll.

"I know I should have introduced ourselves sooner and I apologize for that." Douxie followed in Claire's lead. The elder calmed and smiled.

"They speak troll. Trollmarket is honored to have sorcerers to aid us, as well." Vendal said bowing his head slightly and the wizards mirrored. "Now what of these rumors of unattended whelps?" he asked, turning to Blinky. It seemed his eyes were getting worse as he hadn't noticed Jim sitting on the couch.

"That would be me." Jim said as he stood up, making everyone now very focused and aware of him as he was a little shaky still. "And the other one is actually him." Jim said, pointing at Douxie. Vendal gave a confused look back towards the wizard.

"I'm not a changeling. It's just a disguise that I used to not be targeted by other trolls." Douxie explained himself. The elder gave another strange look and Douxie took that as a sign to prove himself. He made his magic very obvious and transformed.

"I can see why everyone would think you of the same family." Vendal commented, looking between the two boys. "Are you alright, youngling?" The elder finally realized Jim wasn't running at a hundred percent. Jim stepped over to them, still a little shaky but not too bad.

"I'm fine, thank you." Jim said, trying to lead behind Claire and Douxie with the trollish.

"I'm Hizadoux and this is Archibald." Douxie said as he transformed back and the feline switched to dragon and landed on his shoulder.

"And I'm Claire Nuñez." Claire introduced herself, but they came to a still as they tried to find a name for Jim. Vendal had already met Jim as a human, and he wasn't a wizard so they couldn't say his troll form was a disguise.

"My name's Jaecar, but you can call me hunter." Jim stepped in, having already planned a cover name out.

"Jaecar? You are of German descent?" Vendal asked, knowing that there were very few known troll species that hailed from that part of the world.

"Yes sir." Jim replied simply. It was easy for him because it wasn't a lie. Him and his mom were both German and they both could speak a little bit of it. Jaecar was a name that meant hunter and he saw that as a good cover name. As well as a name that started with J helped so that if anyone slipped up, they could recover.

"And we're not exactly 'unattended'." Douxie said in the politest way possible. The elder glanced over to Blinky and ARRRGGH! as both of them gave him a smile.

"Very well then." Vendal huffed. "If you two are willing to take responsibility for them, then I guess they can stay." he said with a small smile. "Get some rest, youngling. You may think you're fine but I've seen it all." Vendal warned Jim as he turned and walked out of the room.

"Dude, good thinking. Using the German blood, I like it." Toby said once they could no longer hear the clanging of Vendal's staff on the ground. Surprisingly enough, Toby was the only one to know about that side of Jim's heritage.

"Wait, you're really German?" Claire asked her boyfriend, a little shocked that he hadn't told her.

"Yeah. my moms great grandma came straight from Munich." Jim explained, leaning back on the table for a little more support. "Have I never told you guys this?" Jim questioned, actually confused that it slipped his mind to tell them about it.

"No you haven't, but it is quite alright." Blinky answer, putting a hand on Jim's back to help support him.

"Are you sure you're ok with being responsible for us again? You do know we attract chaos." Claire asked Blinky with a laugh. Toby and Jim gave a small laugh as they looked at the muti-eyed troll with smirks.

"Ha! Oh course, it'll be nothing different from the first time. Although, I'm sure you'll all still be chaotic yourselves." Blinky said, smirking back at the two boys, gaining a laugh from all of them.

"Hey, what about Killahead? Aren't they still building it?" Toby asked, gaining a panicked look from ARRRGGH! as he was the only one that didn't know about it at this time.

"Yes they are, but they're going to have a hard time completing it when one of the bricks is locked away in a magical safe." Archie said, everyone, but Jim and Douxie, looked at the cat confused. The cat then looked to the troll that brought them the brick in the first place. Jim sighed.

"I may have stolen one of the pieces of the bridge and brought it to Douxie and Archie for safekeeping." Jim congested, scratching the back of his neck.

"When the hell did you do that?" Toby asked, almost shrieking. It seemed everyone else had the same question.

"The day of our field trip to the museum." Jim responded, blankly. Toby cringed at the memory because that was what led them to finding Nomura and the bloody fiasco that followed.

"Must stop them, anyway." ARRRGGH! Rumbled. "Can't let Gunmar out." you could hear the anger in his voice from saying that name.

"It's ok, Wingman. We'll stop them, just like we did last time." Toby said, punching at the air.

"Wingman?" the gentle giant asked, tilting his head. He recognized the name but still wondered where it came from.

"Oh yeah, that's my nickname for you and your's for me. I'm sure you'll remember soon." Toby answered, waving his hand to dismiss the idea.

"you know they're going to be pissed when they find out someone stole a brick." Claire mentioned with a small smirk. Jim huffed a laugh and smirked himself.

"i only wish i could see the look on their faces." Jim joked, gaining laughs from everyone. if only he were on face-time with them right now, he might have gotten his wish.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
on the other side of town, the museum was closed to the public but far from unused. the Gumm-Gumm prince was throwing things around in anger at the news that the trollhunter and his team had slain the stalkling.
"the stalkling was supposed to dispose of the trollhunter for us!" Bular yelled as he marched towards Strickler.
"this was not intended, Bular. you know that." Strickler said, backing up and away from the angry troll. "we underestimated him, we underestimated them. we can still-" Bular cut him off with a roar.
"we tried it your way, impure. i will have the trollhunters head by dusk tomorrow." Bular growled. in that moment, Strickler regained his confidence.
"do you think he will ever be without that thing." the changeling refused to think of Jim as anything other than a beast after his most recent encounter with him. he hadn't gone into the school since then out of fear for his life. Strickler was more terrified of Jim than he was Bular, and that's saying something.
"that whelp is nothing more than that, a whelp." Bular sneered, walking to the bridge and examining it.
"that whelp wields Excalibur. that whelp broke both of your blades easily. that whelp threw you around the forest and made you run away all with a branch stuck through his side." Strickler said, losing his cool a little, gaining a glare from the obsidian troll. however, the changeling didn't back down. "i would hardly call him 'just a whelp'." Strickler growled. breaking their staring contest, Nomura entered the room with a crate.
"the last pieces, my lord." she said. the pink changeling was already on Bulars bad side after getting caught, so she didn't want to anger him more.
"finally." Bular growled, yanking the crate away from Nomura as Not-Enrique entered the room as well. Bular tore the wooden crate apart to reveal two more pieces of the bridge. the bricks glowed a blue hue and floated to their spots on the construction.
"arguing with the big boss, Bossman?" Not-Enrique whispered, gaining a smirk from Nomura. Strickler scoffed and straightened his clothes.
"Bular is going to get himself killed." Strickler mumbled, earning a scoff from Nomura. "anything to say?" he growled at her, although still quietly.
"you underestimated him once, that boy is hardly a true fight for someone who knows what to expect." she said.
"you have not seen what this child is truly capable of." Strickler said turning to face her completely. "you once warned me about him and not underestimate him. now i do the same for you. that thing is no troll, is no changeling, is no child. he is a monster, even to our standards." Strickler said, glancing at the dark prince.
 "now all we need is the eye stone." Bular said turning back to the changelings. "when will it be here?" he growled, clenching his fists. Strickler was about to answer but a new face emerged from the darkness that was the rest of the museum.
"right now, my lord." Otto said walking in with his signature trench coat and hat, carrying a brief case.
"Otto, you've come early." Strickler said, a little shocked. he wasn't supposed to arrive for another two weeks, but considering the circumstance, Strickler would have asked him to come earlier soon anyway.
"yes, mein friend. i heard you had to get a stalkling involved and i insisted on coming early." the polymorph said with a bow of his hat, but the smirk on his face was more than unsettling.
"you've got the eye stone?" Not-Enrique asked, pointing a finger at the man. Otto's lip pulled up to a snarl as the new changeling was being completely disrespectful.
"Indeed, mein small friend." he replied, walking to the bridge and closer to Bular. "Mein lord." Otto said as he kneeled down and opened the case to reveal the eye stone. Bular reached for the stone but it glowed and pulled itself from the case.
The brute stepped out of the way and watched it with a smile. It placed itself in the center of the bridge and the whole thing illuminated with blue lines. A second went by and nothing happened.
"It didn't work." Bular growled, losing his temper. The polymorph just stood and smiled.
"Patience, Bular." Otto replied as he shut the case. Another second went by, and another, and another. With every passing second the changelings got more and more concerned and Bular got more and more angry.
"Something's wrong. We have all the pieces. Why would it not work?" Nomura asked, losing her own temper slightly. Strickler thought long and hard, how would they have missed one? Maybe someone stole a brick, but who?
"That brat. Check the whole bridge, make sure every brick is accounted for." Strickler said, finally remembering his problem student had disappeared during their field trip. The same problem student that was working with the trollhunter and the one who seemed to know more than even Strickler did himself. They spread around the bridge, looking it up and down carefully.
"Which brat of your's stole a piece?" Nomura sneered, finding the hole in the back of the construction. All the others rushed to see what she was looking at. Bular growled at the idea of one of Strickler's students taking the stone.
"Which one do you think?" Strickler growled, Nomura and Bular were quick to catch on, leaving the other two changelings more than confused.
"I'll have his head." Nomura said, walking towards the door and pulling her scimitars from her back. Otto ran to get in front of her, which almost got him a new scar.
"Please be mindful of the situation." Otto said, redirecting her blade away from his face. "If this brat is working with a team, who's to say they have the stone? If they were smart, they would pass it to someone else." Otto had a good point.
"He's right. Just because you kill him, doesn't mean he has the stone still in his possession." Strickler said, making Nomura growl at him. "We can split up and find the stone in any of their places." Strickler gave Otto the wizards place to look, Nomura chose the witch and the Gumm-Gumm prince took the trollhunter himself. Leaving Strickler to Jim.
"What 'bout me, Bossman?" Not-Enrique asked, still not having a mission. Strickler didn't even turn around to address him.
"Go back to your position. I'm sure mom and dad will be checking on their new born soon enough." Strickler said, walking out to follow the other, who already left.
"Can't I at least know who y'all are going after?" Not-Enrique asked, running up and blocking the older man's path.
"That is none of your concern, currently." Strickler said, brushing off the interrogation-like question.
"Pinkys going after a witch, ain't that the girl I live with?" the small Changeling asked, knowing where this was going.
"How do you know that?" Strickler interrogated as he snatched the small troll by the scruff and held him eye level with himself.
"Not the scruff!" Not-Enrique whined. "I just caught her doing some weird stuff the other night." he lied, remembering his 'sister's' words about secrecy. Strickler huffed, threw him to the ground and walked out.
"Just go to your post." was the last thing he said before he was out of sight. Not-Enrique looked around frantically.
"This is not good." he said as he jumped up to the window to leave the museum and get back to the house.
~~~~~~~~~~~~

"What happens if your parents catch us?" Toby asked, pulling himself through Claire's window.

"They're out for the week doing government work. Last time I was so pissed at them because they left me to babysit Enrique all alone, but it's easier when your baby brother is actually older than you." Claire said right as Toby finally got through the window, falling on his face.

"Yeah that would be easier." Jim commented as he helped Toby off the ground. "You good?" he asked once Toby was on his feet.

"You know I've been hit harder." the short teen jokes, gaining a laugh from the other two. They were all just hanging out as none of them could sleep. They talked for a bit and planned out what would be next after they beat Bular.

Jim ended up taking his troll form as he was more comfortable like that. Toby and Jim ruffed around a bit and Claire only yelled at them when Toby was flung into her dresser. They did, however, laugh it off as they were just messing around. Jim sat with Claire on her bed and pulled her into his lap to rest his chest against her back. Right then, her door busted open, scaring all of them.

"We got a problem, ma'am" Not-Enrique said, not wasting time to look at the scene in front of him. His eyes grew wide as he realized the couple being too close for what he knew them for.

"What's wrong?" Claire asked, getting off her bed as Not-Enrique shook his head and jumped up on the bed frame to be taller.

"Bossman found a missing piece to the bridge and thinks it's one of you that took it." Not-Enrique explained. Claire and Toby looked at Jim as he sighed. "So it was you? You're sneaky, I'll give you that, but Pinky's heading here right now to off your head." he said looking back at Claire. They all gasped now very worried.

"What about the others? Strickler and Bular?" Jim asked, standing up in a slight panic.

"Big and ugly is heading for the trollhunters house, I don't know where Bossman went, but Otto's heading to a wizard's place." Not-Enrique answered, not really noticing Jim was out of his act.

"Wait, Otto? He's here already?" Toby asked. The polymorph being in Arcadia so soon only meant one thing.

"They have the eye stone. Dammit! They must have figured out a brick was missing when the bridge didn't work." Jim said. Not-Enrique nodded to confirm his words.

"Strickler's probably heading for your place." Claire said, noting that they really didn't know where Jim lived other than the winged Changeling himself. Jim cursed in trollish and growled.

"Wait, Bulars going to my house? My Nana's still there." Toby said, panicking even more now. His words were probably best kept to himself.

"Your house?" the changeling asked. A moment went by and his eyes grew wide. "You're the trollhunter?!" he asked and stood in a defensive position. "You tricked me! The pale lady didn't send you." He growled and lunged at Claire.

She was about to defend herself as Jim caught the green ball of fury by the scruff. Not-Enrique squealed and looked over to the half troll to find him illuminated. Markings glowed through his skin and his eyes were a bright teal. The changeling's eyes flashed teal very briefly and Jim sat him back on the bed. The whole thing happened in seconds, too fast for the others to really notice what happened.

"Woah bud." Toby said, rushing to Jim's side as he held his head and leaned against Claire's nightstand. Not-Enrique shook his head and looked around. His eyes landed on the dizzy half troll.

"Oi, mutt. What have you gotten us into now?" he asked, gaining surprised glances from Toby and Claire.

"Mi hermanito, you remember?" she half asked, looking at Jim. he gave a weak smile.

"Course I do, sis. Now, why is everything gone heywall?" he asked again. "I was just chillin in new trollmarket and now we're back two or three years?" he said, throwing his hands up in the air. "You could've called, you know.Last I saw you, wizard man was putting him in status and you flew away in a floating castle." the changeling said, pointing at Claire.

"You're right, sorry." she said, hugging her brother. "And someone had to reset the timeline because things got. . messy back with the titans." Claire said, scratching the back of her neck.

"Titans? Oh boy. That must have been fun." he said with just as much sarcasm as usual. A bang on the roof got all their attention. Jim and Toby dawned their armor and Claire pulled out her dagger and staff. They had almost forgotten about Nomura.

"You good to fight?" Claire asked Jim, knowing the whole memory thing took a toll on him. Jim growled at the ceiling as a response and Claire let off.

"I'm good. I'll distract her to get her away from your house." Jim said, jumping through the window that was still open. He hit the ground less than gracefully but it got her attention. He turned to look up at the roof and found the crazy changeling.

"Looking for me?" He yelled with a smile on his face, she growled at him and he took off into the woods, making her follow.

Claire had used her staff to portal her and the others to the bookstore to warn Douxie. She knew Jim would most likely try to lose her and get back to them unharmed, and if he had to fight, he knew Nomura well enough.

"Woah there. What's the rush?" Douxie asked with a laugh as the three of them appeared out of nowhere. It seemed none of them could sleep that night and it was probably a good thing.

"You don't remember Otto, but he's a polymorph changeling and he's coming here for the brick." Claire explained, getting both Douxie and Archie on high alert.

"They know we have it?" Archie asked, changing from cat to dragon in a panic.

"No but they know one of ya's has it." Not-Enrique said from Claire's shoulder. Douxie gave the changeling a strange look. "I remember everything, wizard boy. well, all but you two." he said, pointing between the two.

"Jim gave him his memories back? Where is he?" Douxie asked, getting off his cot as he worried for his brother. Claire and Toby cringed as they looked at each other.

"He's distracting Nomura." Claire answered, scratching the back of her neck. "She came to my place to look for the stone." she sighed, explaining the situation.

"Claire, all of us being here is going to tell them that the stone is here too." Toby pointed out. "We should go somewhere else." he suggested, Douxie and Archie agreed with him.

"The stone will be safe." Douxie said, walking over to the wall and turning the bookshelf into a safe. "Only me and Merlin know the spell to open this bad boy." he said, then turned it back around.

"Ok, but we should probably lead Otto away from the shop anyway." Claire said, they all agreed with her. A knock came from the back door as if on cue. The door came crashing down and the group jumped back. Glowing eyes greeted them from the darkness of the night.

"Good bye." Toby said as Claire made another portal and they all jumped through. Otto stood there a little mad that they got away. But he knew they wouldn't leave this place if there was nothing to protect. In a fit of rage, the polymorph left.

The group ended up in the woods between Jim and Toby's houses. They noticed neither Barbara nor Nana were home yet, meaning neither of them were in danger. Bular wasn't there yet and Strickler wasn't either. A crash came from behind them, making them all draw their weapons.

"Don't kill me." Jim said, crouched on the ground with his hands in the air. They eased up and Jim stood upright.

"Dude, don't scare us like that." Toby scolded as Jim leaned on the trunk of a tree with his arms crossed, trying to act cool, but he was still out of breath.

"and why in the world would you take on Nomura alone? let alone after giving memories to someone?" Douxie asked as if to scold him as well.

"Not-Enrique's memories didn't take as much energy as Toby's did. i don't know why but i panicked in the moment." Jim said shrugging his shoulders but still paying attention to their surroundings. Douxie turned to ask what moment but the look on his face said it all.

"bottle breath found out we were team trollhunter." Toby said, a teasing tone to the changeling of the group. Douxie sighed and rolled his eyes.

"can i assume you lost Nomura?" Claire asked Jim. the way the hall troll cringed was hardly settling any nerves. "Jim?" she repeated with a glare

"i lost her, but i kinda feel bad where she ended up." Jim scratched the scruff that was sticking out of his armor neck line. "you know that random pit in the middle of the forest back here?" he asked.

"yeah? don't tell me she ended up there." Claire said, deadpan. Jim offered an awkward smile and a nod.

"yup, and her scimitars are stuck at the top of the walls. i didn't have the guts to throw them down to her. hope that's not a problem." Jim joked, gaining small chuckles from everyone. Jim tensed as he could feel the atmosphere change. he stood upright, off the tree and growled towards their street. the others looked to follow his line of sight. Bular came stalking around the corner.

"Oh great, here comes great, big ugly." Not-Enrique whispered, jumping from Claire's shoulder to a low hanging branch so she didn't have to fight with him weighing her down.

"Of course Stricklander wouldn't give out his precious students' location. He's slipping." Bular growled, he had found his way there by smell as he looked Toby's house up and down. It seemed a different scent caught his attention, as he turned his head to the only other home on the street. "And his little protector. Two whelps with one strike." he grinned as he pulled his new sword from his back.

"Your call, Jimbo." Toby whispered as they watched the Gumm-Gumm quietly from the treeline. Jim was still behind all of them as their eyes were glued to the troll in front of them. Jim was about to step forward, when the sound of flapping wings grabbed his attention.

Unfortunately, he turned his head a little late and was only able to catch a glance at the changeling that came crashing down at them. Strickler grabbed Jim by the horns and pulled back up into the sky just to throw him back down onto the asphalt of the road, right in front of Bular.

"Woah!" was all that came out of Jim's mouth as he dodged the obsidian trolls blade. Rolling out of the way and back on his feet a few yards away from his attackers.

"I guess that's our cue." Archie said, as they all rushed in to help the half troll. Douxie and Archie took the defense against Strickler as Toby and Claire ran to help Jim with Bular.

"I will slaughter the lot of you! Where is the stone?!?!" Bular demanded, pulling out his other blade.

"Like hell we'd tell you, butt snack." Toby said, running to the opposite side of Jim. Claire stood in front of her boyfriend to let him regather himself.

"I'll drink your blood out of a goblet made of your own skull!" the brute yelled, followed with a roar as he turned to strike at the trollhunter.

"I'd like to see you try." Toby taunted, raising Daylight to counter his attack. Jim attacked from behind, jumping on top of Bular, disorienting him. Jim realized Bular was just as bad as Drall when it came to fighting people that were on his back.

Bular roared and clawed at the teen that gripped onto his horns. Jim dodged Bular's hands and blades as he clawed away at the brute's face and eyes. Toby jumped out of the way once the fight turned into the most intense bull riding attempt. The Gumm-Gumm shook and flailed to try and knock Jim off, but Bular's horns were pretty good handle bars.

"Ride him, Jimbo." Toby laughed out from a safe distance. Douxie was doing good against their flying opponent but he needed more leverage.

"Tobias, this kind of behavior calls for discipline." Strickler called out, gaining Claire's and Toby's attention as he dived for them. Claire created a portal at the last minute sending him who knows where.

"That takes care of him." Douxie said as he made his way over to the other fight. A pained roar from the two battling trolls caught all their attention as Jim was thrown to the ground. He skid on the road and planted his hands and feet to stop himself, tearing up the cement.

"Jim!" Claire called out on behalf of all of them, but when the half troll looked up he had a smile on his face.

"I think you lost something." Jim said as he stood up and waved around a sharp, curved piece of stone. Bular roared at him and the others noticed that the dark prince was now missing a horn.

Horns in the troll world are considered a trolls most honorable attribute, aside from the trolls honor alone. To have one broken off or taken was almost as bad as letting them live after being defeated in battle.

"WHELP, I'LL KILL YOU ALL!!" the obsidian troll threatened, smashing his fists on the ground, cracking it more. Jim raised the horn up in the air and smashed it on the ground, shattering it to pieces.

With the brute distracted, Toby took the opportunity to throw Daylight straight at Bular. Unfortunately, the Gumm-Gumm saw it coming and tried to move out of the way. The sword didn't hit him in the back, like Toby had aimed for, but it did stick into his left arm.

"Not a bullseye but still a hit." Toby cheered with his hands above his head. The skin around the wound turned to stone before Bular could pull the blade out of his flesh.

Claire noticed Jim was wavering for energy to go on. Regardless, he summoned Excalibur and charged at Bular. Before he could get to him, he was tackled to the ground. The others were left to fight Bular.

"Hello little whelp." Nomura said as she got off the ground. She had thrown Jim and herself a good twenty yards away from the others. Jim looked up at her from the ground but he got up fast. "Think you could just leave me in a ditch?" she growled. A thought came to Jim's mind. Nomura didn't know that the troll she was looking at was the same kid that almost took her head off the last time they fought.

"Not really, I figured you'd get out sooner or later." Jim shot back with a smirk. "I'm surprised you're not more scared of me." he said, trying to lead her on.

"Why would I be scared of you? Because Strickler told me to?" she scoffed and spun her scimitars. Jim's smirk stayed plastered on his face. His vision glanced behind her and his team was actually doing good against Bular.

"Probably should have taken his advice." Jim said as he spun Excalibur and ran at her, no real intention to hurt her but this was still a fight and she was still the enemy currently. Their blades clashed in an all too familiar way.

Both of them were thrown around by the other as Nomura was probably the best equipped to challenge Jim and keep up with him. Jim was too fast for most trolls to keep up and he was too strong for most Changelings to beat, but Nomura was almost as strong and definitely as fast.

"You can't steal my horns, can you?" Nomura mocked as she grabbed Jim's and threw him to the ground. "Why do I feel like you're not going all out? Am I not your opponent, boy?" she scolded. 'This feels familiar' Jim thought to himself. She sounded like she did when she and Strickler were training him in the sewers.

"Sure, but I don't want to hurt you." Jim mumbled as he stood up again, this time a little dizzy and he knew he needed rest soon. He wasn't paying attention as she threw one of her scimitars at his head. In a panic, Jim transformed to his human half, making himself shorter to not get hit by the blade as it flew over his head.

"So you're the crazy child that tried to take my head." Nomura said, slightly shocked as she looked at the human teen in front of her. "What happened to that rage I saw in your eyes that first night?" she taunted, earning a growl from Jim as he transformed back again.

"Young Atlas, I suggest you hand over the stone." Strickler's voice rang out from above him. "I might save your mother if you cooperate." he said. Now trapped between two changelings, Jim had less options.

"Even if I chose to do as you say, I don't have it on me." Jim said, trying to find a position where he could see both of them. Jim knew none of them were in the best state to win this fight. He knew he had enough in him to give memories to one more person, but that meant he had to choose between the two changelings.

"Make your choice, young Atlas." Strickler warned. He was talking about the stone, but the choice in Jim's head was made for who they needed to be on their team. Jim whistled to call Archie over, the dragon heeded to the call. Distracting Nomura with fire blasts, giving Jim the opening to tackle Strickler to the ground and out of the air.

"Strickler, we need you on our side. So please remember." Jim said, trying to pin the changeling to the ground. "Keep them occupied for me." he added, trying to tell the changeling to distract the Gumm-Gumms one he was knocked out.

Jim needed all the power he could get, so his armor disappeared but the amulet stuck to his chest. Strickler took the opportunity and sunk his claws into Jim's arms as Jim ended up doing the same to the changelings' collarbone. Jim's markings and glowing eyes appeared to be much brighter than normal as the energy flowed straight into Strickler's veins as his eyes sparked with the teal magic.

Both went back to normal as Jim's eyes rolled to the back of his head and he fell limp on top of his once future step father. Strickler shook his head as Jim's body crashed with his.

"Young Atlas?" he questioned, looking the boy up and down as he sat up. He looked around and luckily no one had noticed the two yet. "You've gotten us in trouble now, haven't you?" he sighed as he shifted Jim off of him and placed the boy behind a car that was parked on the curb, to hide him from the others.

"I'll tear the bones from your flesh!" the changeling heard the Gumm-Gumm prince growl as the fight continued. Strickler took to the sky to observe the battle. Nomura was still trying to handle the dragon as Bular was starting to make headway against the other teens.

"I like my bones the way they are, thank you." Toby yelled back, bolting out of the way of Bulars attack. Claire caught sight of Strickler and flinched for a brief moment, but he gave her a soft smile to calm her nerves. A determined look plastered itself on her face as he held up her staff towards him.

"So that's what you meant." Strickler whispered to himself. Jim needed an insider on the opposing side, so Strickler played his part. He dove down to 'attack' when Claire opened a portal and moved it to cover Bular, Stickler and Nomura, sending them all to the opposite side of the world.

"WITCH!!" Bular screamed, realizing that they had been taken nowhere near Arcadia, let alone the U.S.A in general.

"I hate to agree with you, Strickler, but you were right. Those kids would have torn us apart." Nomura said, rather quietly as she held her arm from an injury supposedly. Strickler growled as Bular started storming out of the random mountain range. The changelings followed silently as to not enrage the brute any more.

'Rest, young Atlas. I'm sure we'll be back sooner than you think.' the green changeling thought to himself. Some of his memories were a little fuzzy but considering the spell the child performed and the energy he had, Strickler was just happy to get the right ones back to be on the right side.

(A/N your queen is here with another long chapter. Eat up my subjects. The 'random pit' in the woods is a reference to How to train your dragon as I found a picture of the cove. So that's what Nomura fell into if you need a visual reference. The past like three chapters have all been set in the same day and I need to jump ahead now. Jim has always been irresponsible and impulsive, so of course he would give three people their memories back in the same day. And of course that would completely knock him out. Yes, Otto is still in Arcadia but he's never really been a big problem on his own. Bular is now without a horn and kinda matching his father as Jim nearly clawed his eye out. I have no idea why, but there is always a car parked outside of Toby's house at random. Like it's not Nana's and it's not Tobys, there's just a random car out there. Jim's fake name is in fact the German term for 'Hunter'. I got the idea for the code name 'Hunter' from a different story as the author used the Swedish term for hunter which was 'Jägare'. But I didn't want to use their name so I changed it up a bit. The story is "Fix the future by changing the past" by cheebs18 here on wattpad. You should check them out, it's a great story. Anyways thanks for reading and I hope you all enjoyed. See you next time.) word count - 6288 not including (A/N)'s.
