Rapunzle and Eugene walked down the steps that lead to Varian's lab. It was the day after the dance and they wanted to check on him... and interrogate him.

" So let me get this straight: You think that hair stripe has a crush on dragon lady "Eugene deadpanned

"Well we aren't sure so we need Varian to confirm or denied it."

They reached the end of the stairs and saw a door leading to Varian's lab. They pushed it aside and entered. Varian was working on a project at a huge table on the middle of the room.  Eugene sneakily crept up behind him and startled him.

"Hey Nerd!"

" Gah! Eugene!" Eugene had apparently chose the wrong time because the outburst made him put more red solution into the blue solution beaker than necessary, causing purple powder to blowup into his face. Eugene and Rapunzel laughed their butt off while he silently fumed. 

When Varian  got himself cleaned up and the king and queen stopped laughing, the couple turned to Varian both with an evil glint in their eyes.

"Oh Varian I bought you some juice. Here" Rapunzle handed him a bottle. Varian took it and gulped it down within a second. He smacked his lips and thanked her.

" So Varian... Let me ask you, Do you like Cass?" Eugene asked, Smirking.

"What No - Ahhh Yes! " Varian's hand flew to his mouth looking flushed as realization dawned on his face.

"You drugged me with the truth serum I gave you to interrogate criminals, didn't you? "he glared at them both.

" I knew you liked her !" Rapunzel squealed, ignoring his glare.

"If your angry, scream at your brain for being too smart." Eugene said grinning an all too innocent grin.

" For how long?" Rapunzel asked eyes shining.

"Since I was fucking 14!" Varian blurted out uncontrollably.

 Eugene and Rapunzel stared at him shocked till Rapunzel squealed.

" Good luck with that one mate. Your gonna need it" Eugene said teasingly.

Varian glare turned pleading. "Please don't tell her!"

Rapunzel patted his shoulder. "I swear I won't tell her but, YOU should!" Rapunzel said avoiding the word Promise. Both her and Varian were quite allergic to it, Understandable due to their past experience.

" I'll tell her when I'm ready." Varian said, not very pleased on the fact that his friends, both who did not know how to keep secrets, knew about a very fragile secret.

That night at dinner, Rapunzel was grinning the whole time.

About an hour after getting the big revelation from Varian, She held a gang meeting without Varian and Cassandra. Eugene and herself head told Lance and his daughters about their current situation, which definitely earned a lot of laughing from the 3, and they started to come up with Ideas to make Cass fall in love with their younger (Older for Kiera and Catalina) Brother. 

In the end, After literally 2 hours, They came up with-

"A camping trip!" Varian and Cassandra shouted in unison.

"An Amazing Idea don't you think?" Rapunzel asked cheerfully.

"I suppose so" Cass said still seeming unsure.

"Can I come too mommy?" Celeste said cutting off whatever Varian was going to say.

"Of course my little star!" Raps cooed tickling the little girl causing her to giggle.

 Cass stood in her room packing her bag.

Rapunzel's sudden wish to go camping was out of the blue. But hey, It's Rapunzel were talking about. It would be just like old times, before the whole moonstone problem and Zhan Tiri and her turning bad. The only difference this time was that there was no caravan and Lance's Daughters and Varian was joining them.

Varian.

Something was wrong with her. For some reason, she couldn't get Varian out of her mind. Varian with his adorable little face and Mysterious blue eyes and his messy black hair with a tiny ponytail  and his sweet, dorky personality and his smooth muscles that she would love to run her hand down.

Her swirling thoughts made Cass blush. She was honestly surprised that he did not have girls running after him.

Okay that was a lie. She had caught girls staring at him with lustfull eyes but Raps had told her that Varian rejected most girls who were bold enough to ask him out. She had even caught one or two really pretty girl coming out of the lab crying. 

Every time she looked at Varian, she had a sudden rush of heat and her heart skipped a beat. There was no words to describe how she felt. She could not classify what this feeling was but it made her blush too much and she felt it whenever she looked at Varian of all people.

She sighed to herself and continued packing, deciding to keep whatever these feelings were, locked up.
