Chapter 10 - Picnic Preparations

3rd Pov

Y/n and Ava were peacefully resting and had no care upon the world. Well, Y/n didn't. Ava was sleeping but kept thinking about her promise with the Daemos. Ava had not told Y/n about the promise just yet so it would be a shocker for what was going to happen soon. The girls continued to rest. That is until...

1 AM

Ava woke up to Rhys looking at her. "Oh, good! You're awake!" Rhys said.

"No, I'm not..." Ava argued back fatigued.

"But, you're talking?" Rhys questioned.

"Just," Ava started, "What do you want?"

"Remember your promise to take us out when the Sun rises," Rhys reminded.

"Is that it?" Ava asked.

"I have one more important thing to tell you," Rhys explained, "Remember to let the other Daemos eat ice-cream as well. It's important for our research."

"Are you just looking for an excuse to eat ice-cream?" Ava asked.

Stars shone in Rhys' eyes as he responded, his voice just above a whisper, "Yes~!"

"Why don't you just bother Y/n about it?" Ava said, her words slightly muffled by the pillow she was snuggling into.

Rhys could still understand what Ava was asking and responded, "I tried, but she didn't show any signs of waking up."

"Alright then, I'm going back to sleep," Ava announced quietly.

Rhys stood up from his crouching position and began to walk to the exit of Ava's bedroom. He opened the door and, just before leaving, whisper-yelled, "Don't forget!" Rhys exited the room. Ava groaned and, just as she was about to drift off to sleep, she heard faint chuckles from behind her. Ava turned to the source of the laughter.

It was Y/n! She was awake the whole time and was laughing because of how Rhys acted towards Ava. "Are you serious, N/n?" Ava whisper-yelled, "You were awake? Rhys said you didn't look like you would wake up!" Ava was obviously irritated. I mean- how would you feel if your best friend had been faking being asleep just so someone else would both you instead of them?

"You are the worst!"

"Oh, I know." With that, the females went back to sleep.

2 AM

Ava was woken up by the sound of punching. She opened her eyes and saw Leif standing where Y/n was supposed to be sleeping. Leif was punching Ava's phone.

"What the f-fudge are you doing?" Ava asked.

"Trying to get the Leif in your magic slab out to show him who's superior!" Leif said back.

"Where is Y/n?" Ava asked.

"Hell, if I know!" Leif said, resuming his punches.

"Why are you guys so dumb? Stop punching my phone!" Ava demanded.

"Make me!" Leif mocked. Ava grabbed her phone and put it between her breasts. (I feel so strange writing that!) "Uh, what is that supposed to do?" Leif asked.

"Make you not want to grab it from my boobs because you respect my boundaries?" Ava said.

"I respect nothing!" Leif screeched, beginning to reach for the phone.

Ava covers her chest and quickly yelled, "It's behind my source of power. Touch it and you die!"

"You know, I respect that you put death in all of your spells. Makes me respect you," Leif said, making his way to the exit of Ava's bedroom.

"Wait, you just said- " Ava started.

"Watch your back, Sorcerer Ava," Leif threatened, taking his leave.

"God! He's stupid!" Ava stated, popping the 'p'.

Ava fell right back asleep. Leif walked out into the living room and saw Y/n sitting on the couch, book and mug in hand. In the mug was some coffee (if you don't like coffee, you can change it to tea!). Leif came up with a plan to injure the distracted female, a malicious smirk spreading across his face as he thought of each part.

Leif snuck up behind Y/n, his sickles drawn and ready to stab the sorceress. He raised his sickle high and just as he was about to strike-

"What are you doing, Leif?"

Leif's eyes widen as he recognized the voice. He looked down at his victim and saw Y/n still holding her book, her back faced to him. Leif withdrew his sickles slowly and tried to gulp away fear. Y/n took a long-lasting sip from her mug.

"Well?"

"How did you-" Leif started but was interrupted by Y/n.

"I'm an assassin too, Leif. Although, I'm sure you haven't forgotten one of the major things in being an assassin, right?" Leif nodded. "And what is that rule?" Y/n put her book and mug down on the coffee table before leaning across the couch, locking eyes with Leif. His teal eyes were hiding a fear of some sort. The only times he had felt that way was when he was abandoned by his family and he lost... her...

"Say it with me," Y/n commanded, making Leif break from his train of thought.

"Never let your guard down," Leif and Y/n said at the same time. Y/n gave Leif a smirk that told him 'Haha, Bitch! I win!™'. Leif felt heat rise to his cheeks at her smirk so he just stormed off, back into the Daemos Pocket Castle. Y/n shrugged her shoulders before grabbing the book she was reading.

"Daemos..." Y/n muttered, continuing to read.

3 AM

Ava was fast asleep with a certain Daemos lying beside her, wide awake. Ava felt a change in her bed and opened her eyes. In front of her was a very close Noi. Her face turned bright red. "What are you doing?" Ava stuttered out.

"Do you think humans will think I'm a threat?" Noi asked randomly.

"To their personal space? Yeah," Ava answered.

"What does that mean?" Noi asked.

"That means you're uncomfortably close to me right now," Ava explained, "And if I didn't know you, I'd be very scared."

"Really?" Noi gasped.

"Yes."

"Good," Noi cheered, "Thanks for the advice, Ava!" Noi then stood up and walked out of Ava's bedroom.

"Jesus, thank you for the hot demon boys but why did you have to make them so freakin' stupid and interrupting my sleep..." Ava complained drowsily. Ava closed her eyes and went to sleep.

Meanwhile, in the living room...

Pierce sat in the corner of the room, nearest to the windows and kitchen counter. Lief was sharpening his sickles while watching Y/n's every move, making sure she did nothing to threaten him and his comrades. Noi was wandering the kitchen and looking at everything, his expression not changing from awe. Y/n was relaxing on the couch. Well...

Trying to relax. Rhys kept asking Y/n questions like:

'What is your main form of magic?'

'What you use your magic for?'

'What is your most powerful spell?'

'Can you shape-shift?'

'Do you have a weapon that helps channel your magic?'

'Can you show us your magic?'

Y/n let out a scream which shocked the Daemos. She breathed in and out before looking at Rhys. "Rhys, sweetheart, please stop asking so many questions," Y/n asked politely, "I might actually lose my mind." Y/n's left eye began to twitch.

"O-of course, Sorceress Y/n," Rhys stuttered out terrified. Noi and Pierce were shocked and frightened. Leif snickered and Y/n snapped her head at Leif.

"I'm sorry," Y/n said, her eyes turning a lava-red, "What's so funny? I don't get the joke. Do you mind explaining?"

"Uh-uh... N-nothing, Sorcerer Y/n," Leif quickly said before shutting up completely, turning his attention back to his weapons.

"Good," Y/n said, walking to a bookshelf. She searched the shelf for a new book to read. She found one that her mother had given to Ava for her 9th Birthday. 'The Chronicles of the Mystics and Legends? Sounds interesting! ' Y/n made her way back to the couch and sat down.

She opened to the first page and, just as she was about to read, Rhys hesitantly asked, "What is that book about?" Y/n turned to Rhys.

"It's about Legendary People who were gifted. At least, that's what my parents told me when I was younger," Y/n explained. This grasped not only Rhys' attention but Pierce, Leif, and Noi's too! "I can read the first page if you want?"

"Yes!" The four Daemos cheered. They surrounded the couch. Y/n flipped back to the first page.

"Hyria, Apprentice of the God of Darkness, Erebus.

Weapon: Dark Magic

Parents: Nyx (Goddess of the Night) and Hades (God of the Dead)

Most Powerful Spell: Flames of the Undead - The rage of the dead are channeled through the flames. The stronger the rage, the stronger and more deadly the flames would be. Not effective on 'Water Users'.

Weakness: Best Friend - Daughter of Hestia and Aether. " Y/n finished. The Daemos were very interested.

"Please read more!" Noi pleaded, the other Daemos nodding eagerly in agreement. Y/n smiled and agreed, the Daemos cheering in excitement.

"Festivia, Bringer of Festivals and Joy..." Y/n began.

4:45 AM

Ava was sleeping. Well, trying to sleep to the best of her ability. Asch was in front of the bedroom door, searching through the drawers for something. Ava reluctantly opened her eyes only for Asch to come into view. He had a fire ignited in his hand.

"What are you doing?" Ava asked groggily.

Asch turned to face Ava before saying, "Don't try to stop me. Leif told me where you hid your phone so I'm destroying all of your-"

"Okay, don't care... want sleep..." Ava interrupted, falling back asleep.

"She fainted at the sight of my deed," Asch interpreted, grabbing all of Ava's bras from the drawer, "I'll take these all and destroy them." Asch then ran out of the room.  Y/n and the other Daemos looked in his direction. "I'm going to destroy these. Whose with me?"

"Me!" The other Daemos cheered before following after Asch into the Pocket Dimension, leaving a dumbfounded Y/n behind on the couch.

"Irene, why did you send us hot but dumb demon boys? What did we do to deserve this?" Y/n asked to no one in particular, laying back down on the couch and sleeping.

5:13 AM

Ava had no sleep. She kept getting interrupted and couldn't sleep no matter how hard she tried. Pierce was on his way to wake up Ava when he saw Y/n fast asleep on the couch, the book that she was reading on her face. He picked up the book and put it on the table before picking up the female and bringing her to Ava's room. He placed Y/n on the bed and went to Ava so that she could wake up. To his surprise, Ava was half-awake.

"The sun has risen," Pierce announced.

"I haven't gotten any sleep," Ava said as Pierce walked to her side.

"But you said that you and Y/n would take us out," Pierce said in a toneless voice.

"I can't do that without sleep. It's how I get my energy," Ava explained.

"That is why you are strong, you sleep a lot," Pierce said, "Then, how did Sorceress Y/n wake up earlier than you? Does she not need the energy?"

"Well, she doesn't need to sleep as much as me. Her magic takes much less energy than mine does," Ava explained, "Pierce, I'm really sorry but I need to sleep to get energy..." Pierce looked between Ava and Y/n.

"Sleep," Pierce said.

"I can't," Ava whined, "I've been woken up so much I can't focus on sleeping." Pierce walked closer to Ava and started to pat her on the head.

"You...don't...have..to...t-thank...you...for...your...kind...-ness..." Ava said slowly before falling asleep. Pierce stayed by Ava's side and continued to pet Ava's head while keeping guard of the two females.

9:30 AM

Pierce was laying next to Ava protectively while Y/n slept peacefully. Asch burst through Ava's bedroom door and ruined the serenity.

"Pierce, why have you not brought the human to us? And where is the tall human?" Asch asked.

"Y/n is just over there," Pierce answered, gesturing to Y/n, "And Ava needs sleep."

"They're our prisoner, Pierce!" Asch complained, "You had a direct order."

"I can bring them now." Pierce tried to reason.

"No, I'm already here!" Asch asserted.

"What's with all the noise?" A voice asked. The Prince and General turned to the source of the voice. It was Y/n!

"It doesn't matter," Asch retorted, turning his attention back to Pierce, "Wake her up now or I'll wake her!" Y/n rolled her eyes.

"I'll do it," Pierce slowly shook Ava awake. Leif opened the other door to Ava's bedroom and walked in. Leif whispers something to Asch that Y/n nor Pierce could make out. Just then, Ava woke up.

"What's going on?" Ava said in a funny voice.

"I would like to know as well!" Y/n agreed.

"It's time for you to dress me," Asch said plainly. Ava 'huh'ed while Y/n's face shifted to one of pure embarrassment and confusion. ' Dress him? ' Y/n thought.

Asch and Leif looked out of Ava's room and looked back at Ava and Y/n. They took a couple of steps forward as Noi walks in with a massive bag, Rhys standing just in the doorway. Noi puts the bag on the ground in front of the bed.

"W-what is this?" Ava asked, still drowsy.

"Whatever this is, I don't like where this is going," Y/n said, quietly so that only Ava could hear her.

"You said, yesterday, you and Y/n would help them put on their human clothes," Rhys clarified.

"WHAT?!" Y/n yelled, swiftly standing up and getting off the bed, facing Ava with much anger burning. Ava gave a nervous laugh and looked to the boys to try and stop this.

"Wait- I didn't mean that literally!" Ava defended.

"Too late," Asch said, tearing off his shirt revealing his toned abdomen, "Dress me." Y/n and Ava shrieked, their faces turning crimson. She covered her face with her hands.

"I'm too young!" Y/n screamed.

"Wait!" Ava yelled, only making Asch come closer to her. At this point, he was literally in front of Ava.

"Dress me!" Ava stood up and ran to the closet.

"Corner her, Asch!" Leif encouraged. Y/n took this opportunity to attempt an escape.

News flash?

It didn't work.

"And~ where do you think you're going?" Leif said huskily in your ear as he gripped your waist, preventing you from moving. Y/n squeaked before continuing to struggle.

"No! No no no no! I didn't agree to this!" Y/n screamed. Y/n then started to repeat 'I'm too young! I know I watch Yaoi and Yuri- but please lord forgive me!' really really quickly.

While Y/n was struggling, Ava was having her own little episode behind her closet. Asch had chased her there. "Why is she acting afraid?" Noi asked obliviously.

"Perhaps because she did not sleep," Pierce assumed.

"Human," Asch said, Ava screaming as he was talking of course, "You said-" Ava's pitch increased. "Dress me!" Ava continued to protest by screaming. "Use your magic!"

"She can't!" Y/n said out loud.

"And why not?" Asch said, his sight not leaving the screaming Ava.

"B-because," Y/n started. ' Quick Y/n! If you don't think of something, they might get suspicious and kill you and Ava! ' She thought. Then something clicked. "Because when human sorcerers, as powerful as us, wake up, our magic is temporarily disabled because our bodies need time to- uh- harness the magic energy and- um- let it flow through our bodies so we can cast spells better? Yeah! That's it!" Y/n explained as she sweat-dropped.

"Seems legit to me," Leif said.

"Interesting," Asch started to command Ava again, "Then dress me like how a normal human would!"  Ava continued to scream.

"So, uh- Leif? Mind letting me go? I think my job here is done..." Y/n chuckled nervously.

"Really, you think you can trick me? Ha! You are so stupid! You are going to help," Leif demanded.

Y/n took a deep breath in before saying, "Leif, I don't know if you remember or not but, I do remember me beating your ass in a fight once. So, don't think I won't do it again!" Leif got so scared at this that he let go of the female immediately. "Thank you!" Y/n said doing a quick curtsy before bolting out of the bedroom and into the kitchen to make some coffee (or tea. Whichever one you prefer! Hey, which do you prefer? I prefer tea!)

(Time skip brought to you by Ava's sarcasm)

(Also,  you are wearing the following:

The outfit colors can be changed if you wish! And you are still wearing your rose-gold bracelet!)

"I can't believe I dressed grown men," Ava said to Johnny, reflecting on her past actions.

"I know," Y/n said, sipping on her beverage before continuing, "Such a poor, sad, unfortunate soul."

"HEY! YOU DIDN'T EVEN HELP ME! YOU USED HOW SCARY YOU ARE AGAINST THEM! THAT'S NO FAIR!" Ava screamed.

"WELL, I'M NOT THE ONE WHO AGREES ON A DEAL THAT INCLUDES A PERSON THAT IS NOT THERE! AND DIDN'T INFORM THEM ABOUT IT LATER ON UNTIL IT WAS TOO LATE!" Y/n argued, putting her beverage on a coster. The females argued back and forth while the Daemos stood in the living room, wearing and judging their new clothes.

"Wow, these clothes are light!" Noi said enthusiastically.

"They feel like clothes that Daemos peasants would wear," Leif argued. This snapped the females out of their argument and turned their attention to the boys.

"I don't like them," Pierce said.

"Rightfully so," Asch agreed as Y/n and Ava nodded to each other and made their way to the Daemos, "These clothes aren't fit for our kind."

"You know, we're right here and maybe you guys can get your heads out of your butts and appreciate not only the free clothes but also," Y/n scolded, putting her arm around Ava, side-hugging her, " Appreciate the fact that Ava dressed you guys herself. She barely does anything for others unless it's for people she likes!"

Asch rolled his eyes before focusing on Ava, "Why didn't you dress us fully?" Ava walked back to the kitchen counter before answering Asch.

"I put on your shirts and jackets and showed you how to the rest! I'm not going below the waist! I would like to refrain from seeing a man's lower region in person until I decide to-" But Ava stopped there, her face turning bright red. Y/n smirked and cocked one eyebrow in a questioning manner as her right hand found its way to her hip.

"Wow. Ava~ I didn't know you were like that~!" Y/n teased.

"Y/n! No! I'm not!" Ava desperately defended.

"Mhmm, sure~" Y/n hummed.

"What are you doing, Ava?" Noi asked.

"Mrs. Oats asked me to make some PB&Js for her and I thought I might as well pack a lunch for us since we're taking you guys out and I don't have any money," Ava explained, looking down at the floor at her last few words.

"Ava, you don't have to do that! I could pay for it," Y/n said as she crouched in front of Ava, putting a reassuring hand on Ava's shoulder.

"But I always use the money that you earn! Don't get me wrong, I really appreciate what you do for me but I don't always want to depend on you, you know?" Ava said remorsefully. Then she was engulfed in a hug.

"You know, you don't have to worry about me. But if this is what you really want, then I'm all for it," Y/n said, pulling away from the hug, "But if you need anything, and I mean anything, you can come to me with no worries, alright?"

Ava's eyes filled with tears as she hugged Y/n. "Thank you, thank you, thank you! You're the greatest friend anyone could ever ask for!"

"Your welcome but please don't cry. I'll cry," Y/n pleaded, tears pricking her eyes.

Ava pulled away and pouted, "I'm not crying! My eyes are just swimming!"

There was silence for a few minutes before the females burst out laughing. "Should we ask about what just happened?" Noi asked, snapping the females back to reality. That reality being a life taking care of man babies from another dimension.

"I think not, but I do have a question," Rhys announced, "Are you Mrs. Oats pupils? You seem to do a lot of tasks for her."

"No, we're her neighbors and she pays Ava and me a bit of money for helping her," Y/n explained, "And since Ava doesn't have a job, she does what she can. I just help her if I have extra time or have no missions. Plus, we like Mrs. Oats."

"Even if she shared things with us that recently we didn't want to know?" Ava asked skeptically.

"Even if she shared things with us that recently we didn't want to know," Y/n answered.

"Are we leaving yet?" Leif asked impatiently.

"I grow impatient as well. Where are we going?" Asch asked rudely.

"We are going to the park but I don't know how to describe it in a mythical way. Can you do it?" Ava whispered to Y/n. Y/n gave a faint nod after putting a story together in a matter of seconds.

"Allow me to enlighten you," Y/n started in a mystical sorceress way, "Long ago, before the reign of the internet, humans would go outside and enjoy the Sun. The sun of our world gives us Vitamin D, which gives us nutrients we need to be more powerful and be able to harness our magic energy. Today, we will be taking you all to the ancient ruins of the park - a place where our parents would take us when we were younger to train our magic and experience the world." Ava was shocked at how well the tall female had handled the situation.

"Ancient?" Noi gasped.

"Yes, but they are mere ruins now as humans rarely visit them," Ava said.

"Because of the internet? What is the 'Internet'?" Rhys asked.

"That will be a topic for another day. We'd like to introduce you to Earth slowly. Plus, it's a topic that would take a lengthy amount of time to cover. Who knows when I could get a mission! And Ava isn't the best at explaining things," Y/n reasoned.

"Now you guys will need to hide your horns. Once you've done that meet us outside," Ava announced, "We're gonna go and give Mrs. Oats these sandwiches I made for her!" Ava and Y/n walked out of the apartment and to Mrs. Oats' apartment door. The Daemos hid their horns - Noi, with the help of Rhys - and made their way out of the apartment.

Ava handed Y/n the picnic basket and grabbed the bag that held the PB&Js. Ava rang the doorbell. The door opened to Mrs. Oats and another elderly woman. "Oh, Ava! Y/n! Good to see you," Mrs. Oats greeted, earning a soft smile from the younger females.

"Hey, Mrs. Oats! Oh, hey, Mrs. Bell," Ava greeted warmly.

"Hello!" Mrs. Bell said.

"Are you guys having your book club or something?" Ava asked politely.

"Pshh! Please, darling! We're not that boring. We're meeting to plan our crochet club!" Mrs. Oats clarified.

"Far less boring!" Mrs. Bell commented. Y/n expression read 'Are You Fucking Serious?™'.

"Oh, yeah!" Ava said, faking enthusiasm, "Totally, I get that life. Anyway, here are the sandwiches you asked me for."

"Oh, perfect! Thank you so much, Ava and Y/n," Mrs. Oats thanked, "And here. A little extra today so you can take all your handsome boy toys out."

Y/n and Ava's cheeks were dusted with a light pink blush. "Mrs. Oats... Please..." The girls chorused.

"Oh! You should bring them over sometime. Mrs. Oats told me all about them," Mrs. Bell said.

"She did?" Y/n asked, Ava's expression now reading 'Are You Fucking Serious?™'.

"Yes, we heard all the screaming this morning too! Especially Y/n yelling that she was too young," Mrs. Bell clarified. Ava glared at Y/n making the tall female shrug her shoulders and let out a nervous laugh. Ava facepalmed.

"Hey, let's get moving!" Leif demanded, Pierce standing behind him.

"Whoa! You are right! They are handsome," Mrs. Bell agreed.

"Where are you all going?" Mrs. Oats asked.

"To the Park. To give Ava and Y/n the vitamin D," Pierce said bluntly giving the elders the completely wrong idea. The elders gasped while Y/n and Ava turned bright pink.

"I swear to god-" Ava said.

"Oh my Irene-" Y/n said.

"Ava and Y/n are going to absorb it to become more powerful," Leif explained.

"He means we will get more energy to do things and activities! You know how lazy Ava and I are! Haha! That's what he mea-!" Y/n tried to cover up but was interrupted by Ava.

"We're leaving! Have a good day, Mrs. Oats, Mrs. Bell." Ava said, grabbing the picnic basket from Y/n and stormed off to the elevator, Y/n, Pierce, and Lief following in pursuit.

"Lucky girls! You should ask them to fix your camera so you can get pictures of those handsome men!" Mrs. Bell suggested.

"Oh, good idea!" Mrs. Oats agreed.

Meanwhile in the Elevator...

"Why are they so red?" Rhys asked.

"I don't know but I like them like that," Noi answered. (YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! BABY! I LIKE IT LIKE THAT! I SAID I LIKE IT LIKE THAT! I SAID I LIKE IT LIKE THAT! NOW I LIKE DOLLARS, I LIKE DIAMONDS, I LIKE STUNTING, I LIKE SHINING! I LIKE MILLION-DOLLAR DEALS, WHERE'S MY PEN? BITCH I'M SIGNIN'! Don't mind me! Just vibin'!)

"We're red because we just realized that you all take everything literally!" Ava complained, "Do you guys not have like a learning school or communicate with others on a logical level?"

"School?" Asch asked.

"Oh! I didn't realize that you would ask about our culture," Rhys said, "Hmm, well, learning isn't a primary concern on Daemos. Most learning is about magic and fighting since it's our primary way of survival."

"Teaching is a luxury only certain Daemos get to be in," Leif explained further.

"Interesting..." Ava trailed off into her own thoughts.

"But what about reading? Do you not do that?" Y/n asked.

"Well, yes but the books are only on potions, spells, and incantations or something close to that nature," Rhys explained, "Like the book that you read to us." This gained Ava's attention.

"Wait, you read to them?" Ava asked.

"Yes, I did! I read that book that my mum gave to you for Christmas," Y/n said, "Although, it had a thick layer of dust on it meaning that you hadn't read it, Ava."

"First, I forgot I even had it! I don't even remember the name of the book! Second, when did you even read to them?" Ava defended and asked.

"First, it's called 'The Chronicles of the Mystics and Legends '. Second, I read to them at 3 AM." Y/n explained.

"So... you were the scream I heard at 3 AM? I thought it was some kind of ghost..." Ava said, shuddering at the thought of a ghost haunting her apartment.

"Stop bickering!" Asch demanded. Y/n walked towards Asch and flicked his forehead.

"Shut up, Princey! (Thomas Sanders Reference anyone? No? Just me? Okay. I'll shut up now.) " Y/n said before turning her back to Asch.

"Anyways, we're going to teach you guys some manners! First form a line. Noi, you get to be the line leader!" Ava instructed.

"M-m-me? Leader?" Noi asked excitedly.

"Hey, why is Noi the line leader?" Asch asked.

"I agree, it should be me!" Leif announced.

"No one is going to be the line leader if you keep arguing!" Ava scolded.

"How can there not be a leader?" Asch complained.

"Noi is the lowest ranking among us so you can see why it's an insult," Rhys explained.

"My line, my rules! Now, we are going to go to the park and everyone is going to listen to Y/n and me. Sheesh!" Ava retorted. Y/n had put her hand to her mouth and let out muffled laughs. Everyone in the elevator turned to her.

"I'm sorry! It's just- You Daemos are acting like children and Ava is acting like a babysitter and I just can't process," Y/n laughed out.

"Ugh... Thank God no one goes to the park these days..." Ava said.

(Timeskip brought to you by Leif's kill-happy mood)

"Why are there so many people here at the park?!" Ava screeched, Y/n at her side (clutching her ears at the volume) and the Daemos behind her (drawn in by the beauty of the park).

"Uhhh! This isn't good! Alright, everyone stick close and-" Ava began as she turned around.

"And~ They're gone..." Y/n said.

"YA THINK?! OH NO NO NO!" Ava screamed. Rhys was by two kids who were eating ice-cream; Leif had knocked over a trash can and was digging through it; Asch and Noi were on the playground socializing with some kids, and Pierce was who knows where! Ava started panicking.

"Ava calm down! Your anxiety will act up! Let's go set up the blanket and we'll figure something out!" Y/n reasoned, rubbing Ava's back through the fabric in a soothing way. Ava calmed down and the two females set up the picnic mat.

"Alright! Who are you going after? I'll go for the others!" Ava said determinedly.

"Eh? But Ava isn't that too much for you?" Y/n asked worriedly.

"Nope! I mean, yes," Ava said honestly, "But you have done so much for me, I might as well reduce your workload, right?"

"Right! I think I will go after..." Y/n started.
