And, once again, I've been dragged into another one of Starscream's attempts to kill Megatron. I overheard him and Knockout talk about lying to me about Megatron's condition so we can just dispose of him. I'd love to do that but, if he is still alive somehow, I have to find any evidence to keep him functioning. I'll be lucky if none exists. I took (Y/N) with me to help get some form of a second opinion. She can always find one, somehow. We arrived in the Medical Bay where Megatron is being kept. 

"Knockout, if you would be so kind as to provide your expert medical opinion to Soundwave... for the historical record," Starscream said

"Simply put, unaided, Megatron could remain in this deathless slumber forever," Knockout said

"Our master would not have wanted to be seen this way, to stand idly by while he remains captive in his own body. It's not just."

"But, what's that?" (Y/N) asked pointing at the spikes in the screens.

Brain-wave activity. That could mean anything. 

"Brian-wave activity. Not evidence of consciousness, but merely of an endless dream from which Megatron may never wake," Knockout explained

That's a good excuse but I know I have to look further into it. 

"Soundwave, we must face reality. Megatron is lost to us," Starscream said

"The only honorable option would be to show him mercy," Knockout said

"A simple throw of the switch."

"Quick, painless, compassionate."

I couldn't help but see that (Y/N)'s ears perk up at something. It wasn't what Starscream and Knockout suggested because this was after that. She looked to the side at, most likely, where she heard the noise. (Y/N) looked back up to me and I gave her a nod to go and have a look. She left to look while I searched for any reason that Megatron would have brain-wave activity. 

"Soundwave, do I take your silence to mean you concur with Knockout's medical expertise?" Starscream asked me

I'm always silent, Starscream. My silence isn't uncommon. Either way, I gave no response because I was looking for what could be causing the activity. I looked back at (Y/N) who had disappeared. That's it. I'm getting her a bell or something. But I saw there was a Cortical Psychic Patch lead that went from Megatron to where (Y/N) was looking. Starscream told me to speak now or he would take away Megatron's life support.

I pointed to the lead as my only response. Starscream left to investigate. He found the Autobots! Starscream almost fended them off when Arcee shot Megatron's life support! But I heard (Y/N) call for me so I ran over to see Arcee take (Y/N) with her back to their base!

No! Starscream was happy that at least the Autobots did the deed of pulling the plug on Megatron. Already annoyed at the fact I just lost (Y/N), I pointed to Megatron to say do something! Knockout put him back on life support and I made my way out. But not before Starscream made a comment:

"I knew you wouldn't be able to keep your pet for long, Soundwave."

Oh, the amount of willpower I had to stop myself from beating him into scrap metal was a lot. But I kept my cool until I found somewhere remote on Earth and vented my frustration. I should have done something! She means so much to me! I can't lose her like this! I returned to the Warship and started searching for (Y/N) with anything I had to offer. I even deployed Lazerbeak to search for her. In that time, Megatron had returned to the ranks.

So much for my luck today. Somehow still remembering her, Megatron asked where (Y/N) had gone. I showed him what I saw when she was taken from me. Megatron swore to me that we would get (Y/N) back from the Autobots. He's always had respect for me and my Minicons so I suppose that's how he knew how attached I am to her. I've had and lost so many. I'm not adding (Y/N) to the list of people I've lost. The search for her lasted days.

As Starscream was second in command again, he advised that I stopped searching but I refused to. But things got interesting as the days went by. Breakdown had been captured by humans but escaped with one eye, but went on a mission not long after and brought back a Decepticon named Airachnid, Megatron was going to terminate Starscream but he somehow saved his own spark, but so much for it, because he ended up leaving the ranks and Airachnid took over his position.

But I didn't care about any of this. I want (Y/N) back by my side. After almost a week of her missing, I took matters into my own hands and I don't care if Megatron doesn't like it. I took one of our Energon mines off our records, relocated all the mining equipment, and sent a message to the Autobots.

I told them I had something that would be very useful to them and all I wanted was (Y/N) in return. I'm desperate now. I also sent them my location which was outside the mine. I waited for them to arrive. Their Groundbridge opened and Optimus, Bulkhead, and Bumblebee came through. They took out their weapons in case I planned to trick them. 

"Soundwave. What is it that you are giving us for the human?" Optimus asked me

I motioned them to follow me and started walking inside. They hesitantly followed behind. I led them to the large amount of unmined Energon. 

"A whole Energon Mine?" Bulkhead asked

"Does Megatron know about this mine?" Optimus asked me

I shook my head and showed that I had erased its location from our databases. They all seemed surprised that I would take such a risk for (Y/N). Optimus called for a Groundbridge and told Arcee to come through with (Y/N). They walked through and (Y/N) ran over to me. I kneeled down to give her a hug, not even caring that the Autobots were watching. 

"Soundwave," I looked up at Optimus, "how long have you cared for this human?"

I showed him all the recorded days which added up to a month or more.

"(Y/N) has told us how compassionate you have been since meeting her. You would make a great Autobot," Optimus said

"And you know about the 'Cons. That would be useful," Arcee said

I looked at (Y/N).

"The choice is yours," (Y/N) told me.

I looked back at the Autobots and shook my head. I still have the issue of Megatron trusting me too much. 

"My offer stands whenever you want to leave the Decepticons," Optimus said

I gave a nod before leaving with (Y/N). I'll take up the offer one day. Just not today. I'm just happy I have (Y/N) back.
