The God of Death was offering him to stayed at his place.

"... Is that really okay?"

Cale asked once again to confirm. He couldn't believe that it would be that easy.

"I mean, why not? It would not be easy to find a place to stay in here. Beside, we are going to work with each other. It would be easier to stay in the same place."

There was a silence between the two of them before Azazel continued.

"I'll let you think about it. We still have plenty more time before we-"

"I will gladly accept your offer."

The God of Death eyes were opened wide. Now he was the person who was in shock.

"Then, are you willing to work with me as a 'benefactor'?"

A benefactor. Not a subordinate. The God of Death explained that Kim Rok Soo would be a Gods' benefactor if he decided to work independently. A benefactor is someone who works with the Gods to achieve something that both benefits them. In Rok Soo's case, the goal was to defeat the White Star and save that world. Kim Rok Soo got to revenge and have a peaceful life, while the Gods would be able to maintain the balance of the world.

"... You had gave me a second chance to fix my mistakes, and you also gave me a place to stay. So why didn't you ask me to become your subordinate?"

Another silence occurred. The God of Death looked at him with reminiscing eyes, while still having a smile on his face.

"... You are a very special person to me, that's all."

Kim Rok Soo, Cale Henituse. A soul that was being affected by the White Star's curse. Azazel had observed him from the moment he was born. At first, he just watched Kim Rok Soo as a way to kill time whenever he was on a break. But the longer Azazel observed him, the more he cared for him. The God of Death realized that Kim Rok Soo was a very important person. That child could defeat that White Star bastard. So Azazel kept on watching over him. He had even told Choi Jung Gun to inspect this kid’s surroundings every so often. Maybe because that child was very similar to him in some way.

Kim Rok Soo had a terrible fate. Both as Kim Rok Soo and Cale Henituse. Being alone in the world is extremely sad.

That was something that the God of Death had experienced back when he was a human.

"Beside, none of the person whom I called as my subordinate, is actually my subordinate. They are still Gods' benefactor, it just that, they've been working under my command for a long while."

"It's almost time they got back. We should get inside now. I think you would be very happy to see them."

Both of them then head inside, leisurely went into the God of Death's office.

Kim Rok Soo had went a full circle. He was back at the place he had woken up. Azazel was sitting at his desk, discussing with Kim Rok Soo about his new room, about the design of the room and the interiors.

Suddenly, a black hole appeared behind Kim Rok Soo. It was a portal. There were two familiar silhouettes stepped out hurriedly.

"Azazel! Did Rok Soo really come... here?..."

It was Choi Jung Soo's voice. Behind him was Lee Soo Hyuk, his Team leader. It was his hyungs.

"J-Jung Soo, T-Team leader..."

Choi Jung Soo was talking to the God of Death in a very disrespectful tone. Lee Soo Hyuk was also angry. Why was he stopping them from having a reunion with their dongsaeng?

"I'm sorry for interrupting. But I'm afraid you two can't hug him right now."

"Why not?"

His Team leader was also very disrespectful.

Lee Soo Hyuk nodded his head.

"... Sorry for being angry at you."

The God of Death sighed as he heard Choi Jung Soo's apologies. He reached out to rub their heads.

"It's okay. As long as you two understand."

Azazel then quickly got back to his seat. Kim Rok Soo, who had stopped crying, watched their interaction with amusement. So that's why his body felt so light.

"Then... Can we at least hold his hand?"

"... Sure. But be gentle, okay?"

Immediately after Azazel's word, both Choi Jung Soo and Lee Soo Hyuk held Kim Rok Soo's hands.

"It's been a while, Rok Soo-yah. Have you been eating well?"

His Team leader asked, having a sad smile on his face.

"... You bastards! Do you know how much I missed you? I was very lonely, you know?"

Kim Rok Soo started to cry again. He was furious, but at the same time, he was very happy to see them again.

All of them let Kim Rok Soo cried for another while, let him calmed down. The God of Death lightly patted his head, his Team leader slowly wiped his tears, and Choi Jung Soo just fidgeted his hand. The three of them finally had a reunion.

"... How are you two here?"

Kim Rok Soo asked when he had calmed down. Surely there must be something that made them stayed.

"... Kim Rok Soo, I am a single-lifer."

Choi Jung Soo started to explain. Apparently, Choi Jung Soo heard the God of Death's voice in his head the moment both of them was about to die. At first, Azazel's plan was to transport Choi Jung Soo to the Unknown World, like how Choi Han had been. But unlike Choi Han, Choi Jung Soo was given a choice. And he chose to die to protect Kim Rok Soo. Because of it, Choi Jung Soo had become a Wanderer, while Lee Soo Hyuk was just being dragged into this mess.

"A Wanderer is someone who Gods can hired to work with. They can travel to different Dimensions freely without affecting the world they travel to. They're basically mercenaries, but their power is equivalent to the Gods. Single-lifers will either become a God or a Wanderer after they died. And your friend had chosen to become a Wanderer. It's a good choice, anyway."

The God of Death explained to him.

"Then why is Team leader here?"

Kim Rok Soo looked at Lee Soo Hyuk. His Team leader was neither a Variable nor an Exception.

"I have made a deal with Choi Jung Soo. Lee Soo Hyuk was fated to be reincarnate into the Unknown World. So, in order to let him reincarnate with his past life's memories, he and Lee Soo Hyuk have to work with me for a while. Of course, I still pay them monthly."

The Death had to explained what happened earlier when they were not here. Only after knowing that it wasn't the Gods fault, they stopped the glaring. Seriously, why does he have to work with such vicious people? Azazel sighed internally.

"So you also decided to work here as a Benefactor..."

Choi Jung Soo frowned. He understood why, but working at here was not easy. There was a lot of work to do.

"This is our room!"

Choi Jung Soo opened the door. It looked exactly like their room back in Earth 1. Although it wasn't anything special, but it was a place filled with good memories. The three of them then quickly sat down on the bed.

"We have so many things to tell you, Rok Soo-yah."

Team leader hold his hand gently. Oh how there were a lot of things happened when they fell apart.
