Phil's POV

As Dan retreated to his room, defeated, I felt a weight bear down on my shoulders. This seemed like my fault. Maybe it was too soon. But bloody hell we'd been together for almost ten years, and married for almost two. He was so perfect and didn't deserve his family's resent. I didn't know if I should go comfort him or not. I decided to knock.

"Come in, Phil" his voice was muffled and a little shaky. I expected him to be buried in to his blankets but when I walked in it looked like he was organizing his dresser, I was really confused and didn't know what to do. 

"Dan? What are you doing?" I said carefully, not wanting to upset him.

"Packing" 

"Dan. What?" I stammered and grabbed his arm. "Packing for what?" I almost dreaded the reply.

"Let's go somewhere Phil." He sounded unsure.

"Dan, we have our Canadian Tour(fingers crossed) next week! We can't just leave" I looked in to his eyes and pulled him away from the dresser and guided him to sit down on the bed. I ran my hand through his hair. "Do you want to talk?"

"Phil you've just... You're so lucky, your parents are behind you in everything, they love and care about you, unconditionally. My parents hate who I am, everyone assumes everything about me. You're the only one who loves me" Dan buried his head in to my shoulder.

"I do love you, unconditionally. So do your grandparents, and Adrian. Not to mention all of your fans. Dan, what your parents think doesn't define who you are." I rest my head on his "You're the one who gets to choose who you are, and what mark you leave on this world. Looks like it will be a big one. You have accomplished so much. You've made it, Dan, and I'm proud to have been with you, watched you grow up, and helped you through all of it. Dan, your my one and only and I've never been happier then when I'm with you"

Dan looked up and pressed his soft lips to mine, we fell back on to the bed and held each other. Being no where but the present, thinking about no one but each other.

"I'm eternally grateful for you Phil Lester, eternally."
