Dan's POV

"Mom?" My voice quivered. She must have seen the video.

"Dan," She hesitated choosing her words "I watched your latest video and I feel you've made a mistake" My family knew about Phil and I, I mean we were married for god's sake. Not that she had bothered coming.

"Mom, this is my life my choice" I said trying not to get angry.

"Daniel, you've embarrassed our whole family. Who you're with is none of my concern but I wish you wouldn't actually tell people. My god. It's not right." Heat rushed to my face. Phil must've sensed where this was going, he placed a comforting hand on my shoulder. 

"Goodbye Mother" I hung up trying to keep tears from spilling. All I wanted was for her to accept me. I shouldn't care. I'm an adult. I have a career and a new family. I don't need her

But I wish she needed me.
