Chapter 12

At night, Sisir was collecting some woods while Basanta was trying to find a way to fire them. They both tried the stone method. They rubbed on stone on another stone with force but sadly, it didn't work. They both can hear the sounds of owls at night. So how you may ask they are alive. So,

FLASHBACK

The guards took them in the middle of the forest. But, they didn't want to do it. Like who wants to do a sin by killing two angels. So, they made a plan. They saw two dears roaming around in the jungle. They looked at each other and nodded their heads. They hunted the dears, killed them, took their hearts out and went away leaving Sisir and Basanta all alone in the forest. When the guards went back to the palace with the hearts as a proof. The king and the queen actually believed that their sons are dead. The queen was over the moon. She took the hearts from the guards. She cooked the hearts and ate them with joy.

(A/N: what idiots and dang the queen really proved that she is a witch and a psycho in addition. she is scary.  Well, I have a question. Does human heart and a dear's heart look the same. Cause I don't know. ( ⊙ _ ⊙ )? )

FLASHBACK ENDS

Now, Sisir and Basanta are stuck in the middle of the forest. It was dark and gloomy. Suddenly, Basanta's stomach make a rumbling sound indicating that he is hungry. They hadn't eaten anything from the morning. Basanta wined and said to Sisir, "dai. Bhok lagyo. Kehi garana. Yo jungle ma kehi khane kura ta pahincha hola. Chito khozam natra bhokai you bhari jabani ma marne chu hami dui zana."

Translation: "bro. I am hungry. do something. we might find some food in this jungle. Let's search it fast or else we might die from hunger in this young age."

Sisir nodded his head and said, "that's true. But at first, we must find fire to even search for food. And there isn't even a firefly at this whole damn jungle." Suddenly Basanta said in a panic voice, "NO. no. this can't be happening." Sisir asked confusingly, "what?" to which Basanta replied, "what will happen if we ended up like the characters from 'oggy and the cockroaches' book." This made Sisir even more confused. He asked, "what has our situation do with that book. And who even reads those types of books." Basanta said in an offended voice, "well I do. And in one of the chapters oggy was stuck with his brother jack in the middle of a dense forest where there was no literal food like this and they had to survive by eating lice. Oh god. I literally wanted to throw up when I read that part. That was so disgusting. But they eventually found a way out of that forest after a couple of days later."

When Basanta looked at Sisir after talking for a while, he noticed Sisir's 'bitch, you better be joking' face. He gulped and said, "why are you looking at me like that. I am just describing the chapter. And I am not saying that we will also end like them. I am not at any cost eating a louse. And most importantly, we don't have any lice in your hair as the servants always cleaned them very nicely while we were at the palace respected as the princes. So, let's forget about it." Sisir rolled his eyes playfully at his brother's words but he also caught the hint of sadness in them. They again started to search for the source of fire when suddenly Sisir saw a light. The light was not that bright but it would be useful to them. He motioned Basanta to look at that direction. They stared at the light that was coming from a far distance. Sisir thought that could lead them to fire. He tapped on Basanta's shoulder and said, "bhai. Mero kura dhyan diyera sun hai. Tahile pani thya tyo aggo dekheko chas ni. Ma tyo ago linaka lagi tihaya zanchu. Ta mera lagi yehi kurera bas hai. Pheri ma sanga gaeis, bata ma khatra bhayo bhane talai zau huncha.hus. mero kura buzeko chau ni."

Translation: "bro. listen to me very carefully. You are also seeing that light, right? I will go there to fetch fire. You have to stay here and wait for me. If you come with me, danger may appear in the path. Okay. You are understanding what I am saying?"

Basanta nodded his head. but he was still scared of the thought of being all alone in this huge jungle. He said, "okay. I agree. But, you have to promise me you will come to me as soon as possible. I don't want to be alone for a long time." Sisir agreed and went towards the direction of the light while Basanta sat on a stone near a tree and watched his brother leave. Sisir followed the light. His eyes were on that. He walked and walked but it seems like the light would never come any closer. He suddenly realized that it was morning already. The light he came for had disappeared and he could see a beautiful town. Now, he was feeling stupid for not bringing Basanta along with him. So what do you think will happen to these brothers?
