The owner of amazing beauty "Amrapali" was the daughter of Mahanaman, an ordinary soldier of Vaishali city. Mahanaman often stayed out of Vaishali due to city work, so he handed over the responsibility of raising Amrapali to his friend Kumar Bhatt and his wife Ambe. Amrapali did not have the freedom to roam around like other girls, she had to remain confined every moment. Kumar Bhattacharya was a dance teacher and girls of Vaishali used to come to him to learn dance, meanwhile Amrapali also started learning dance secretly. When Ambe came to know about this, he took a promise from Amrapali that she would never dance on any social platform. But destiny had something else in store, one day Amrapali saw the Nagarvadhu of Vaishali. Seeing her royal pomp and luxury, Amrapali decided that she would become the Nagarvadhu of Vaishali. At the age of 16, Amrapali achieved the title of Nagarvadhu. The day she became a Nagarvadhu, she realised that Nagarvadhu does not only dance on the stage but she has to give something more to this kingdom. Knowing the truth of Nagarvadhu, every part of Amrapali's body trembled and now she did not want to become a Nagarvadhu. What was the secret of Nagarvadhu after all?
