Let me take your attention to the kitchen for a few minutes. The meal we are preparing today is Pilau. Rice being the denominator ingredient and a few other things but a major determining factor of turning rice to pilau is Pilau masala. You may want to pick the powder from the supermarket shelf, but for the purpose of the lesson lets make masala the spice. One and a half teaspoon of Cumin, One tea spoon of Cardamom, half teaspoon of black pepper, half teaspoon of cinnamon and half teaspoon of cloves. All this spices have a variety of taste and aroma, Cumin has a strong alcoholic flavour. Cardamom has a smokey flavour with the coolness of mint. Black pepper is hot. Cinnamon has a strong overpowering spicy with a hint of sweet. Cloves have a sweet strong scent. These spices are mixed in their right quantities crashed and roasted for the sweet overwhelming scent of Pilau masala. William Cooper says Variety is the very spice of life, that gives it all the flavour. Typing the lesson to life is Rice is your life, my life, so many things, situations, relationships become the variety in our life. With all that in the place, we are tested by these situations and relationship, we are crushed almost beyond the weight of care but the balance of it lies in our hands. If we let the bitter and hot have more pre-eminence then we produce a bitter scent, always bitten by life, always down. If we let the sweet and nice smelling take pre-eminence we become oblivious to the suffering around us, we forget to appreciate the things of life both big and small Always keep the balance, the tough season make you stronger, the smooth season make you thankful. Just one miscalculation of the ingredient the result is not Pilau Masala. Without keeping the balance the you, you ought to be is replaced by something, someone else
