Mirror Man

Another heartbreak, another load of lies, another day in the life of Danny Taylor.

"Just get out Paul", Danny sighed, "just bloody go".

"But..... but Dan, I love you" Paul stutters.

"Yeah yeah, just like you love your wife and four kids", Danny turns as he walks away, a look of tiredness and defeat etched on his face.

"Just go Paul Mason, or should I say 'Phil Madison'?", the man at the door flinches, bags in hand, a tear forming in one eye......

Danny Taylor, 28, was failing in life, unloved and married off in a business arrangement, used and discarded by his family, now divorced, a string of failed relationships, a dirty little flat he could barely afford, and a miserable dead end job.

His one true friend, a lovely girl called Hina, his only saving grace in his tired world.

Then one damp chilly Friday night after yet another soul destroying day, Dannys life changes beyond anything he could've imagined.

He meets Mark, in a very very unusual and heartbreaking way, choking to death in the road outside Dannys flat after a drunk driver rammed his motorcycle, obliterating the machine and sending Mark slamming into the curb.

A sudden scream, a screech of tyres and a loud bang shocking Danny out of his slumber he rushes from his bed, injuring himself on the way on a broken bed spring.

Not caring for his own pain he saves the life of the man behind the visor, the man with haunting grey eyes.

The selfless action changes his life when he encounters the 'mirror man', the shadow of the rider he saved, in his bathroom mirror, while the man is in a coma.

Meeting Marks parents who come to thank him for saving their son starts a chain of events, that Danny could never have imagined would happen.

The whole thing feels surreal as he catches feelings for the mirror man, and visits the real Mark Chandler in hospital.

But will Dannys self loathing ruin everything?, will he ever feel worthy to remain in Marks life when he wakes?.
