Under the Skin - the underdogs - CH 1
Once in a blue moon you see some sort of creature roaming the mountains or the city streets, but you'd never guess that any sort of creature in hiding would shield themselves to look like you and me. And you'd never think they would hide themselves as teenagers; But, none the less, they do... His name was Lucifer, but his few friends called him Luci; and he was a Hell-hound. He had been alive for many centuries, wrecking havoc upon the mundanes in the med evil eras. But suddenly the world had gotten too populated, and the once fearsome creatures had to hide...And he chose to hide as a human, planning to be rich and successful - no. It was never that way. He had transformed into an awkward teenager with messy brown hair and russet eyes - the closest he could get to red without becoming a victim of suspicion. Anyway, not even his pals knew what he was at first, until he discovered they were Hiders too. Hiders- that's what they call themselves now. And their enemies - Hunters - the ones whom know about them, the mortals whom killed them off... Anyway, as he was walking, a few Jocks were following him, and he was doing his best to keep a distance, and failed. they eventually caught up, and were pushing him towards the city square fountain. Lucifer hated water naturally, and it was obvious. It took all his focus and power to not end up burning into embers while they drowned him, and thus it left him powerless. They kept dunking him in, his limp head thrashing the cement under the water. He tried to scream out for help, but it was no use, he felt his breath draining away slowly, and as he was about to welcome his death and return back to Hell, he was suddenly yanked upward.
