My First Kiss Went A Little Like This

I gasp loudly, not hiding the dust of pink and red arising from embarrassment. "You just licked my cheek." He shrugs, as if it was the most normal thing in the universe. "You had ice cream on your face." "And?" "And I like ice cream." "But you licked me. And it felt. . .weird." He grins. "Weird but good." "True." I lick his face. "You had some icing. I love icing." Sophia and Cody are best friends. They're also each other's first kisses. And that didn't go too well. Although that first kiss does not give justice to their minds from frequent visits of nostalgia, they just cannot avoid one another. They're neighbours and childhood friends, keeping one another company because of their parents neglect. They have practically memorized one another. So they made an unwritten rule not to speak of it, or ever get into the situation again. This is Sophia's seventeenth summer. There are new friendships, new experiences, and new boys just around the corner. Especially Liam, who's taking an obvious interest in Sophia. And who definitely deserves her attention. Yet despite all these distractions, why is it that her gazes lead back to Cody? He gave her the horrors of a first kiss, and also all the smiles, all the laughs, and all the memories. There are still many summers awaiting right? So maybe there's still time for second kisses. Maybe infinite.

Along Came A Spider

Spider-Man, Chara, and Frisk fall down into to the underground around the same time. Spider-Man goes down to investigate missing children and "Monsters", Frisk goes down because she is hates her current living conditions and wants to just get away, Chara goes down because she hates humans. There are a few little weird things, like Spider-Man knowing about resets like Chara, Frisk, Flowey, and Sans. Spider-Man knows because he isn't an Undertale character, a phenomena occurred where the marvel and Undertale universes collide, and Spider-Man's thoughts don't necessarily apply to an average Undertale character's thoughts. Lastly, and possibly the dumbest, Spider-Man has multiple souls-ish, he has justice, kindness, and perseverance. This is for two reasons, first off, the last reason about him being from marvel, also because I couldn't decide (I know he has justice on the cover, but I just chose that for simplicity, and I want his character to be like that) also he has a type of determination where he can't comeback from death, but keeps trying until he dies, and he can come back from near death experiences (I suppose) for DRAMA! This is my first writing piece I'm really trying at, and I'm relatively young (despite what my pro. Says) so please excuse dumb plot holes and stuff, have fun I guess, I mean you don't have to but yeah.........

Daughter of the Woods - WIP

At the beginning of time, when all was created, Ealea, a world filled with magic and amazing creatures, was ruled by Edonia, queen of the gods and goddesses and goddess of the universe. A thousand years passed and the humans of earth began to war against the creatures of the Woods. Because of this, Edonia broke the land into six different continents. On each continent, she carved out spaces for humans to live and forbade them to enter the Woods, which would now be the realm of the magical creatures. Another thousand years later and the humans were once again at war with the Woods. The humans wanted to take over the Woods and were using magic to destroy the creatures and take their homes. Edonia came down to Ealea and took magic away from the humans. Thousands of years later, humans had learned to cope without magic and stayed as far away from the Woods as possible. That is until a little girl about four years old wandered in while her mother was tending to the garden. The creatures observed her from afar as she wandered farther in. A single, brave elf named Thirarion came down from a tree to see her. The little girl looked at this small creature and walked up and hugged him. Edonia, watching from her palace in the sky realized that this one little girl was not like the other humans. Over the years, the little girl would go in the forest every day when her parents weren't looking, and she would play with the animals and creatures. This girl is Rain, the only human allowed in the Woods and the only one with magic. Now, a new problem threatens to destroy Ealea. The Shadow Mages. These creatures can destroy with a single thought. One day, a woman in Rain's village falls ill with an incurable disease. Rain embarks on a journey with her guardian and best friend, Kazix, to find the source and stop it from destroying all of Brui Echon. As time runs short, nothing is safe and all could be lost forever.Copyright © B. M. Rhodes Publishing

Rail Tales: Old Steel, New Fire

This story is rated T for "I Tried."A darker, grittier, more realistic take on the "living vehicles" formula of universes like Thomas the Tank Engine and Tugs. Set in 1970s America, the railroad industry is modernizing rapidly. For over a century many machines and constructs created by humans frequently "awaken" shortly after completion, and exist as sapient beings with human intelligence and substantial, some would say unnatural, control over their artificial bodies. Even so, in almost all legal systems, these constructs are not recognized as living beings, and a sapient car or railroad locomotive has about the same legal rights as, at best, wild animals. In the best cases, it's illegal to scrap them or start taking them apart without first humanely euthanizing them, and some kind of anesthetic must at least be offered before major, invasive work is done. Steam locomotives, along with many other literally living pieces of history, are dying races, being scrapped by the hundreds to make room for callous forward progress and for the measly rate of $47 USD per metric ton of reclaimed steel. In early December of 1970, a natural disaster in Washington state leaves several towns in a secluded valley largely cut off from the outside world. The only immediate solution available is a small local railroad company which operates engines saved from the cutter's torch. With some hastily scraped-together cash and dreams of giving more constructs the second chance that society denied them, can they hold things together over the Christmas rush and come out the other side a successful company and refuge for those deemed obsolete? Or will they break under the pressure of the falling snow and the fierce competition and end up as just another grim funeral train heading off to a steel mill for recycling?

Heat of the Moment

This story was previously titled "Random Notes""What is it about that guy?" I asked the clouds and the sky and the empty street that followed my path. Being a walker was truly a lonely existence. "About what guy?"It can't be. I jumped from the sudden input to my conversation with the universe, turning slowly, feeling my eyes widen once more from the surprise. "You look like you've seen a ghost. Have you been walking through cemeteries again, you weirdo." "John...""Don't say it.""Huh? Say what?""Don't say that you were worried about me. Go down that road and you might fall for me." He snickered."Fall for you? Hah! You wish. I didn't see you the whole rest of the day! Where'd you go?""Well...""Well? I was worried sick that you'd spill the beans about our little adventure. If I get caught, so help me John I will...""Okay okay calm down don't get your panties in a twist.""And don't say PANTIES!"After an act of carelessness and a certain mistake regarding a door, Ali Jacobson's life changes in ways she never thought possible. With a new friend, the flirtatious loner bad boy, and a group of strangers that soon become her family, how bad could high school truly get? Friendships, sass, heartbreak, and completely awkward situations rise and fall as Ali tries to find her voice in an environment that is socially unforgiving. Everyone wants something. To be seen, noticed, to excel, to fall in love, to be a ninja...to have a happy ending. But Ali is no wet noodle. After all, in order to succeed, all you need is music and a good right hook.

|| COMPLETED & UNDER EDITING ||Kewpie Reynolds is returning to Grimm's Heights School for Troubled Girls for her sophomore year. This year, Kewpie is having to tackle a psychopathic criminal, a mysterious spirit, a secretive girl with a special gift, oddly behaving foliage, supernatural drama, a reverberating voice, horrific monsters, a whiny ghost, alternate worlds, corrupted relations, old rivalries, promises of war, one very angry girl, and forces that no one understands. Between that, schoolwork, a confusing, split-up family, and heartbreak, there's no room to breathe.Sequel to Grimm's Heights on Wattpad!**WARNING: Includes moderate language, suggestive materials (involving brief discussions of sex, rape, and nudity), some disturbing paranormal content & imagery, and some violence and gore (a little bit of which is descriptive).
