Ablaze || Aang x Reader
Fem!reader, 1st person POV I felt myself being shaken awake. I already knew something was definitely wrong as I groggily opened my eyes. There was barely enough time to focus on Gyatso's panicked face before the ground shook. A loud boom was heard. That sound was too close by. I was instructed to evacuate the children. It is my greatest regret to not have been able to follow that instruction.The monks had told Aang and I of our destinies as coexisting Avatars earlier than usual since they feared there would be a great danger approaching us. I was a naïve kid. I hadn't yet wrapped my mind around the dangers and darkness looming around every corner of this world. I was also too ignorant to realize how stupid it was to think I could trust Aang. He left me to die, meaning he broke the promise we'd made the day we were told of our fates. I had thought we were to always tough everything out together, but the contrary became clear to me once I was covered in wounds and wearily staring into darkness. I woke up a hundred years later, a new threat at hand. The same nation that murdered everyone I knew and loved in order to get to Aang and I was now attempting world domination. I would have to reconcile with Aang to stop them. But did I want to even breathe the same air as him? I would've rather burned to death.I am Avatar Y/n and this is my testimony of the true events leading to the defeat of the tyrannical Firelord Ozai.
