Vontell, complicated, self-aware, exhausted twenty-something takes the summer to recoup from the success of his first award-winning film. Running from the intensity of love and the sureity of friendship, he falls into a deep pit of uncertainty and gets pulled out by the exact people he's been hiding from and unknowingly pulls them out of a few things too.Von, and his friends are all just trying to make it through the toughest of ages, the twenty somethings.[published 1/2021]

Eleven Months

This is where I post the poetry that I've written and little feelings in the form of words. I have had a hard life. I have had a hard couple of years. But what has proven hardest has been the past eleven months. Everyone has been asking me how I'm doing, so I decided to compose a book of poems that will tell everyone how I'm doing. This book is my safe place. I hope that maybe some of you can connect or feel or bleed with me as I've connected, felt, and bled with these poems.Thanks for your time. The Ride

This is a poem that I finished about a year and a half ago. I'm very proud of it because of the emotions I expressed in it. It really captures what I was going through at that point in my life, and still gets me very emotional when i re-read it. It is my favorite piece that I have written so far, so I hope you guys like it!
