We are all born to be somebodies. When we take our first breaths, taking into us a small part of the universe, we become somebody. A number is etched into our skin in shimmering aqua blue and our fate is set in place by the world around us. The rare and praised 9s grow to be people of great respect and skill while other high numbers such as 8s are driven into respected practices such as doctors, lawyers, and police officers. 7s are usually placed into positions as teachers or company managers. 6s and 5s are ordinary business men and women. 4s and 3s are simple shopkeepers or postmen. 2s and 1s get undesirable jobs such as garbage men and janitors. We all have our place in this world and our jobs that must be done. If you are lucky you can marry into a higher family so that your children may have the chance to become a greater digit. Although if you aren’t above at least a 4, 7s and 8s won’t even bother with you. 9s, despite their rarity, hardly bother with anyone outside of 7s, 8s, and other 9s.If you are like me, hopes of every getting a job or falling in love are nonexistent. 1s are highly looked down upon, ergo, 0s are simply ignored. No better than rats, mice or other such vermin. Our service as working beings would do nothing but tarnish the reputation of a business. If we ever do find work it is hardly that and more a form of slavery. As for love, it never crosses our minds to even try once the truth has crushed our spirits in childhood. 0s can’t multiply and so we are alone.
