"Sorry..?" Izuku whispered, confused. His father's arms were wrapped tightly around his torso, making it hard for him to breathe. He didn't care, though. He only decided to hug back, holding back tears.

"Yes. I'm sorry, Izuku. I never meant to leave you behind like that. I've tried to go visit you, but the timing was never good." The man explained, pulling away. Midoriya's lip quivered, still sensitive to his father's voice.Β

"It's okay." He whined, stuffing his face in the man's chest. Only then did he let tears fall, unable to control his emotions any longer. He felt his father's face press in his green curls, making him smile. The last time he had hugged his father like this, was when he left home over a decade ago.Β

"You've grown so much- I'm sorry I wasn't there. Every boy needs a father in the home. I failed. I'm sorry, Izuku." The man repeated. Midoriya let his lips curl into a frown, trembling as he quietly sobbed. He remembered all the times he would have needed his dad around, but he wasn't there. Back in 7th grade, when fathers were invited for a special Father's Day dinner, Izuku had eaten alone. When he hit puberty, his mother was the one to give him embarrassing talks. His father wasn't there when he needed him the most. But that could all be fixed now.Β

"I missed you." Izuku muttered, gripping onto the back of Hisashi's shirt. He felt his father press a gentle kiss on top of his head before pulling away with a smile.Β

"It's great that you came by. How long will you be staying?" The man spoke gently, rubbing Izuku's arms. The greenette smiled softly, looking down.Β

"A week or two, maybe." He shrugged, wiping away the tear streaks on his freckled face.Β

"Marvelous. We have a spare room here, so you won't have to pay for any hotel fees. And this is-?" The older man asked, pointing to Katsuki, who'd been sitting on the sofa for the past several minutes.Β

"Ah- This is... A friend of mine. He works as a therapist. So, he offered to come along, since I was really nervous about meeting you again. He's here for emotional support. His name is Katsuki Bakugou." The freckled male giggled, making his father smile.Β

"I see. You remind me so much of your mother- She was a nervous wreck too. I hope she's doing well. Do you mind if this young man sleeps in the same room as you?" Hisashi questioned, helping Izuku bring his luggage into a hallway. Midoriya nodded.Β

"I don't mind." He chuckled, looking over to Bakugou who was following them with his own things. Izuku and Katsuki were led into a bedroom, where they set their suitcases aside and followed the older man back into the living room. Izuku sat down next to his father, talking about how he was studying medicine, and how he worked at a local cafΓ©, in Hosu. He didn't mention the stripping job, though, which was probably a good idea. Bakugou sat quiet as he watched the wholesome moment, seeing how much Midoriya resembled his father. They both had the same freckles, and the same curly hair. Izuku had green highlights, and black roots, which matched his parent's black hair. Overall, they looked alike.Β

After over twenty minutes, Hisashi's wife came in with a smile, followed by two children who wouldn't stop staring at them. Izuku smiled warmly at his stepsiblings, Karsen and Kylie. He knew a lot about them, since he had practically stalked his father's Facebook account. Karsen had recently turned twelve, and Kylie was five years old. They both looked a lot like Mia, both having straight, light brown hair. Karsen had blue eyes, like Hisashi, while Kylie had brown ones, like her mother. She also had freckles, just like Izuku.Β

"Karsen, Kylie, I want you to meet your stepbrother. Izuku." Hisashi spoke, standing up. Izuku's eyes widened at how straight forward his father had been but decided to go along with it anyways. The kids stared at him in confusion, Karsen having a frown stamped on his face while Kylie had a smile.

"Nice to meet you two-" Izuku spoke softly, unsure of what to say. He looked back at Katsuki, who seemed amused by the situation. He then looked over to Mia, his stepmother, who seemed quite accepting and unphased by what was going on. A long silence tensed up in the room, before Kylie approached the green haired male. Midoriya bent down to her level, being able to take in her adorable features better. He felt her hands press themselves on his cheeks, a large smile growing on her face.Β

"I have a new brother." She cackled, sounding amused. Izuku cracked a smile, nodding softly. "Izuku." She continued, approaching Midoriya's face. She pressed a quick peck on the male's lips, giggling loudly as she poked at his freckles. She seemed to enjoy Izuku's presence a lot. Unfortunately, it wasn't the case for Karsen, who still refused to look in the greenette's direction.

Time flew by quickly, while everybody ate supper. The children were seated in front of the television, watching an episode of a show they liked, while the adults ate at the dinner table. After the meal was over, Mia and Karsen took care of the dishes and Hisashi decided to set up his son in the spare bedroom. Of course, Katsuki helped as well, keeping Kylie occupied so she wouldn't get in the way of Hisashi's travels through the house. He brought in some sheets and pillows, setting them onto the mattress as Izuku spoke about his mother and himself. He explained how he had gotten into his baseball league, back in primary school, but had dropped out because of a pain he had in his wrist. The doctor had also told him to take a break from any kind of physical activity, too.Β

This conversation led to Izuku asking his father a long-awaited question.Β

"Hey, dad, remember how we used to play catch together back home?" Izuku questioned, earning a glance from his parent.Β

"Yeah, I remember." The adult responded, putting down the last sheet.Β

"Do you want to play, again? I brought my old ball-" The small male hesitantly asked, looking down. He expected his father to reply with a no, or I'm too busy. But that wasn't the case at all.Β

"I'd love to, Izuku."
