Unfair - The Neighbourhood

The mishap with the ferris wheel ended with you flying in the sky on Bakugou's back. At first, you couldn't look as thoughts of you falling from such heights caused you to be anxious. If Bakugou hadn't spoken a word to you, you would've missed the view. You opened an eye to the city welcoming the night after sunset and despite the explosions booming in your ears, you happily basked in the view of the city below you. The landing was unexpectedly smooth, with no injuries or tumbles until your feet met the ground.ย

As luck would have it, you were glad Bakugou landed on grass instead of a sidewalk or the road, and the imagawayaki didn't disrupt your stomach. You held onto Bakugou's shoulders for leverage after he held your hips so you could recover your sense of balance. Regaining your panting breath, you grinned ear to ear. "I was wrong. I did not regret doing this at all,"

"Imagine dating some half-ass with a useless quirk when you can have mine," Bakugou gloated, showing a small display of his quirk. Quick small pops followed by a small explosion lit up both of his palms. You shook your head, laughing at his face, all proud and strong. Taking him by his hand, you tugged him onto the sidewalk beside the school gates off the grass.

"Come on. We should head back to the dorms," You told him, wrapping his arm around your shoulder. He followed along not long after, and you wrapped your arm around his waist. "I had fun today Katsuki, even if the last part got 'stuck."

"Stupid ferris wheel," He grumbled, earning a laugh. It would be a long silence before Bakugou spoke up. "Hey next time, you pick where we go next time,"

"Really! I get to choose?" You asked, happily.ย

"Yeah, yeah, it's a start. We did something I wanted to do so you can choose what we do next," Bakugou answers. "And I don't care about where or what it is, I'll go wherever you want to go,"

You nod your head. "Okay, Katsuki,"

Before you made it to the dorms, your yawns became constant. Another cause of your lateness is a minor incident that forced you to use your quirk. While walking, you collided with a little girl running out of an indoor play zone. Her ball rolled out the door and onto the street. When she tried to stop it, your body slammed into hers, knocking her to the ground. She scraped her knees on impact. You swiftly nursed the child by treating her knees before her mother appeared and mustered the quickest apology that rivalled that of Midoriya's mumbling.

"Quick question. What will your classmates think about us dating?" You decided to ask out of nowhere. "What should we tell them?"

"I don't care about what those idiots think." He answered with blatant honesty, you've come to know very well since you met. "If you want to tell everyone, then you can. I don't mind,"

"Then that would mean-" You laughed softly, accepting the reply nothing more. Beaming a warm smile, you asked something else. "I can call you my boyfriend, right?"

Seeing the tips of his ears turn red, he nods his head. Lowering his lips onto your head, he kissed you, sealing the deal to which you smiled at.ย

"Why not," He said as he pulled away. Your smile stretched, leaning more into his arm and continued walking to the dormitory in silence.

"Hi, Kazuko!" You greeted, once you see your baby, running around the common floor.ย

"Mama! Bana!" Kazuko screamed like a banshee. As soon as he saw you walking in, he immediately rose off his bottom. Holding a piece of banana in hand, he stops mid-way to shriek happily. You held a finger to your lips, shushing the toddler. After you and Bakugou removed your shoes, you leaned down with a hand out for the banana.ย

"Is that for Mama?" You questioned in a gentle tone. Kazu looked at the banana, then back at you. He drops the banana in your hand, and you took a small bite. Picking him up with one arm, you attack his cheek. "Aw, Thank you, baby. I wouldn't want you to drop this on the floor,"

"Hey, Kaachan," Greeted Midoriya, holding a small package. "Your parents were just here,"

"Huh!? Why?" The blonde snapped his head toward his childhood friend. Speaking of his parents, they've been spamming his phone lately. He had to mute their messages and forgot about it ever since. Or maybe he forgot about it on purpose.

"Your mom found one of Kazuko's shirts at your house," Kirishima answered, pointing his thumb at Midoriya. "Mr Aizawa had to calm your mom down before she destroyed the place,"

"Of course, she would. I'm gonna kill that old hag," Bakugou sighed out of annoyance. He rubbed his neck out of annoyance.ย

"It's my fault for not noticing," You mentioned abruptly, taking the shirt off of Midoriya's hands. "It must have dropped out of my duffel bag before I left. Sorry, Katsuki,"

"There's nothing to apologise for y/n," Bakugou ensures you, fishing for his phone in his pocket. "I'll call them later,"

You frowned slightly, but you guessed you both were exhausted after today. "I'm gonna head off to bed. It's getting late,"

"Goodnight Midoriya. Goodnight Kirishima," You spoke. The boy said goodnight back and you waved a hand at Bakugou's back, making Kazuko copy your actions. Eventually, you found yourself in the hallway leading to your room but you noticed your dad's door open halfway with a crack of light peeking out. Taking it upon yourself, you knocked on the door before opening it all the way. Aizawa spun on his chair, seeing the smile on your face and Kazuko drifting off in your arms.ย

"I'm back," You told him, entering the room.ย

He sighs, spinning back around to his table. "Judging by that look, you had a good time,"

"Yeah. It was the best day I've had in a long time," You confessed, taking a seat on your dad's bed. "What about you? How was the rest of your day, Dad?"

"Same as any other day, Y/n?" He replied, working away on his computer. Yawning, you eyed his empty coffee mug.

"Do you want me to make you another drink?" You asked, spotting the kettle in the corner of the room. You walked over, switching his things around for a clean coffee mug.

"No, thank you, sweetheart. I'm fine," He refused, typing at his keyboard. "You should head off to bed. You look exhausted,"

"Alright," You soughed. Walking over to kiss your dad's cheek, you whispered as to not wake up Kazuko. "Goodnight Dad,"

"Goodnight, Y/n," He said back. Returning to your own room, you didn't waste any time. You changed out of your clothes, washed your face and changed Kazuko into a onesie. Getting him to fall asleep was no longer an issue, and you were glad he behaved himself out while you were gone. Perhaps this means you can go out again.ย

Me fighting my 16-17-year-old self for making this rewriting progress very shitty
