Y/n POV

I was finishing up my own training while everyone else was in the dining area. I had stayed back alone to practice my skills because I felt like I was falling behind. Everyone else always says that I'm fine and shouldn't push myself to hard but I just can't help but think that I'm not as good as the others around me.

Most people don't know this yet but Mikasa is my girlfriend. Only a few people in our close friend group know but besides that we try to keep it to ourselves to keep a low profile and to prevent anything from happening.

No one knows this yet but I'm often self conscious about myself, especially when around my friends, but the person that I usually think about is Mikasa. Mikasa is the literally most perfect person I know. She's strong, brave, attractive, and so much more. Which often makes me feel like that shes to good for me and that I don't deserve her. I know that Mikasa would never do that and that she loves me but I still think like this form time to time.

I finished up and was about to walk back towards the cabin when I decided to sit down near a tree and watch the sky for a while. I was still sitting down when I heard twigs snapping and footsteps getting closer. I turned around and was about to say something when I heard someone say something.

"Hey"

The soft voice belonged to Mikasa. She sat down next to me and looked up at the sky.

"So what are you doing out so late, you missed dinner" she asked.

"Oh, I just finished practicing and decided to stay back to watch the view" I answered back.

"Y/n, you shouldn't push yourself so hard" she said in a slightly strict tone. Honestly made me feel like I was a child being scolded.

"I know, it's just that I feel like I'm falling behind everyone" I told her sadly while looking up.

After I said that it was silent. Thinking I said something wrong I looked over and was about to open my mouth when she suddenly hugged me catching me of guard. Mikasa was usually private with her feelings so this surprised me. I hesitate before hugging her back. We stayed there for a minute or two when she said something.

"Y/n, you know I love you right?"

"Huh?

"I love you , and you are perfect in my eyes" she said while still holding me.

She then let go and held my hands in hers before looking into my eyes.

"Please stop thinking so lowly of yourself, I love you so much and there isn't one thing I would change about you" she said before hugging me again and lightly pats my head comforting me.

I relaxed into her touch before saying,

"I love you too"
