It's been a few weeks of getting to know and grow closer to Y/n. So far I haven't made any new friends at school but thats okay, I don't really need any other ones. I don't believe that she's made any new friends either. Well, hm there is one. He's been talking to her since last week and it's beginning to get irritating, his name is Caleb. He'll come into class, and then sit in my seat until I get in class and tell him to move. The worst part is, she finds him funny. She find his jokes and actions funny. Yesterday though, he was hanging out with her. They were at a park nearby my house, I go there to find flowers for mother. 

Why can't he just go away? 

He is just so annoying, I don't want her hanging out with him. He doesn't seem like such a great person, hmph what's so special about him? I'm getting wrapped up in my thoughts again, I guess it doesn't matter though because i'm almost home. School today was pretty boring and I almost got in trouble, I tried passing Y/n a note again but Ms. Finley took it and threw it out and later scolded me saying things like

 "You are a good student but you have to stop with this kind of behavior. Passing notes is unacceptable. Please do better Alastor, I wouldn't want to tell your parents but I think i'll have to if you keep this up."

 Would she rather me talk and disrupt the class or would she rather me be SILENT and pass a note or two? And talking to my parents over a note? Ridiculous.

I wanted to go to the lake again but because of the teacher I wasn't able to ask her if she wanted to join me, and I didn't exactly want to go by myself. I was going to ask her while we were leaving school because we usually walk home together but she went over to Caleb's house after school instead. Am I jealous? Of him? No, well maybe just a little but I shouldn't be. Hopefully her being around him so much wont be a permanent thing. At least father isn't home, that would have made my day worse. I mine as well go inside since he isn't, I don't have anything to be worried about right now.

"Mom! I'm home." I said as I opened the door and walked in.

"Oh, hello dear. How was school?" She asked from inside the kitchen.

"It was fine, how was your day?" I asked, I sat my bag down and took off my shoes before walking into the kitchen.

"It's been well but it's better now that you're back home." She said, bending down and kissing my forehead. I giggled and hugged her waist.

"Glad to hear." I said as she looked down at me.

"Any homework today?" She asked as I shook my head.

"Nope, none!" I said, letting go of her.

"Oh well actually there is something, all I have to do is read two chapters of this one book but that's it." I said as she smile softly.

"Go get on that so you don't have to do it later, i'll let you know when food is done, okay?" She asked as I nodded.

"Mhm." I walked out of the kitchen and back into the living room and dug into my bag, getting my book out and walking up the stairs.

"Darling?" She called, I was halfway up the steps.

"Yes?" I answered.

"Your father is working late tonight, I just wanted to let you know." She said, I was happy. More time away from him, time that I didn't have to see his face or hear his voice.

"Oh okay!" I said, continuing to make my way up to my bedroom.

{Timeskip, 20 minutes later}

"Dear! Come down here please, someone's here for you!" She called as I just got done reading the last chapter that I was told to.

"Coming." I said as I closed my book and hopped up from my desk and walked out of my bedroom, I made my way downstairs to see who was waiting for me.

"She's very pretty." My mom whispered in my ear as I looked out of the open door.

"Ah, Y/n. Hello!" I said, I was happy to see her. I thought that I wouldn't have been able to for the rest of the evening.

"Hi Al, um I was wondering if you wanted to go back to the lake with me." She said, she stole the thoughts right out of my head, the words out of my mouth before I could speak.

"I was actually going to ask you that earlier but I didn't get the chance too." I said before looking at my mom who was standing behind me.

"Is it okay if I go with her to the lake?" I asked as she nodded.

"Of course. You did finish your homework, correct?" She asked.

"Yes, I did." I said.

"Very well, have fun and don't get soaked like last time-wait one moment." She said, walking away. A minute or two later she came back with two towels in her hands.

"Just in case if you both get a little wet. Y/n, you can keep the towel if you'd like." She said, handing them over, a black and a grey one.

"Thank you, Mrs. LeBlanc." She said as me and her stepped out the door.

"Y/n." My mother said as Y/n turned around.

"It was lovely meeting you, have a nice time." She said with a smile.

"It was nice meeting you too." She said as me and her began to walk away, with my mother waving as we did.

"So not that i'm complaining that you're here-not at all, but I thought you were hanging out with Caleb?" I said.

"I was but when we got to his house he said that something came up." She said.

"Oh I see" I said, i'm glad. I didn't want her hanging out with him.

"Its fine I think i'd rather hang out with you anyways." She said with a smile as she elbowed my arm.

"Happy to hear so." I said with a chuckle.

"Hey Al, what if I drank the water?" She asked, looking down at the rushing water in the lake.

"I wouldn't suggest doing that. Who knows what's in there? I don't think you should drink it, you might get sick." I said, putting a hand on her shoulder and looking down with her.

"I'll do it if you do it." She said with a grin.

"We are not drinking that, no." I said.

"Hmm I wonder if we'll find more fish." She said as she looked at me.

"Yeah but last time I fell trying to catch one." I said as she giggled.

"That's why brought the jar!" She said as she backed up and took off her bag, she sat it down on the grass and pulled a medium sized jar out of it. I was wondering why she still had her bag on and with her.

"You remembered it?" I asked, crouching down with her.

"Mhm! Heh I told you I would bring it next time we came here." she said with a smile.

"Those fish dont know whats coming for them." I said as we stood up.

"I have shorts on too so now I don't have to roll up my pants." I said, I took off my shoes and socks like last time as she did the same. We moved her bag, the two towels and our socks and shoes over to a nearby tree and came back as she picked up the jar. We ran back over to the lake and stepped in.

"Oh! A-" She cut me off as we stood in the lake.

"Shhh, look." She said, pointing with the jar still in her hand. There was a small grey fish swimming around, she waited around for a little bit before rushing down into the water with the jar. In her various attempts to catch it, she eventually did. 

"AHHH LOOK AT IT!!" She giggled, practically jumping up and down. I couldn't help but be excited too, I had never caught something like a fish before.

"I see, should we keep it?" I asked as she shook her head.

"My parents wouldn't let me keep a pet, and I don't know what it eats but if you want you can keep it." She said.

"I don't know how happy my father would be if I brought it home with me, lets let him loose and back into the water." I said as we did exactly that, then got out of the lake.

"Lets dry off, our legs are all wet." I said as we began to walk where we had rested the towels and the other belongings at as she turned around, now with her jar empty with little water remaining inside.

"Hm?" I asked, seeing as though she turned around out of nowhere.

"Goodbye Silver." She said, wiping a fake tear from her eye and waved.

"Silver?" I asked.

"Yeah that's what I named him." She said.

"We only had him for 3 minutes, at the most. And you already came up with a name?" I asked as she nodded.

"He will be missed dearly." I said, playing along.

"No, we'll probably forget about him by next week." She said as we shared a laugh before continuing our walk over to the tree and drying off. 

"Hey Alastor?" She asked as I was drying off my legs.

"Hm? What is it?" I asked.

"I'm just curious, what do you want to be when you grow up?" She asked me. If I had to be honest, i've been thinking about it ever since we got a new radio in our house.

"I wanna be a radio host, it's so cool too! I can't wait until i'm older and able to be one, but what about you?" I asked.

"Woah that sounds cool, uh I don't really know about me though..I don't have anything in mind right now. Maybe i'll figure something out later." She said with a shrug.

"Ah, I see. I'm sure you will." I said with a smile. After our short talk, we finished putting on our shoes and socks. I brushed myself off and picked up her bag for her.

"I can carry it for you if you'd like." I offered.

"Oh no its okay you don't have to. I'll carry it, besides it's not too heavy anyways, there isn't very much in here." she said, taking the bag from my hands.

"Very well, should we go now?" I asked.

"Yeah, we didn't leave anything so we're good to go." She said as I nodded, we began to walk until we made it away from the lake. I was going to just walk her home like usually until I thought of something.

"Hey Y/n?" I asked as she turned her head.

"Hm?" She said.

"My father is working late, so at least 3-4 more hours until he's home. I wanted to know if you would like to come over to my house, food there is most likely done by now and my mother would love to get to know you more, i'm sure." I said, hoping for a yes. I would love to show her around. I could even show her the new radio we got.

"I'd love too!" She said with a giggle.

"I don't know what she made yet but whatever it is, i'm sure it'll taste great. Her cooking always does." I said as we made it into the neighborhood.

"I don't doubt that, I smelled something when she opened up the door earlier. It smelled amazing." She said.

"I agree." I said as she began pick at her nails a little.

A nervous habit?

"I uhm.. are you sure she won't care if I stay there for dinner? Your mom, I mean. I just don't want to cause trouble or anything." She said as I grabbed one of her hands and stopped her.

"It wouldn't be trouble at all, i'd love to have you over. Especially since you've already had me over." I said, as I saw her smile return.

"Okay, as long as you're sure-" 

"Great! Now come on, i'll race you there!"
